Sunny Days Are Here To Stay!

Hello my dearest fashionistas!

I haven't blogged in like almost a week (for some reason my last post says that it was posted on Sunday when I actually posted it on Wednesday) .

Today has been a very short day for me, I have a little bit of math homework and I have a geography study guide to do.

I look really bad in this picture, but I wanted you guys to see the detail on the sweater.

Here's a quick little update!

On Friday I found out that my art teacher is taking one of my pieces to this art association gallery showing. It's sort of big because it's all high schools in my county and each art teacher can only take 9 pieces. I'm very excited! The gallery opens up on Friday night and they're going to announce 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention; I don't think I'll win anything but, I'm happy to be going!

So here's a few pictures of the finished piece.

I named it "The Ocean's Bodice" .

Also, I got a 90% on my biology test, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Over the weekend my friends and I went to the fair that a catholic school here holds yearly.

After that I spent the night at Melissa's house, she's a huge Lost fan so we started watching and I'm like in love with it! It's so good, I've seen the first 6 episodes, so don't tell me any spoilers!

On Sunday we went to the beach (yes, it's warm enough to go to the beach!) and we layed out. Then we got hot so we went into the water. It was pretty chilly but, we thawed out fast!

I had a really great weekend with my friends!

I promise to get around to posting the outfit pictures from the Bon Jovi concert sometime this week, I'll also be doing a February Favorites post soon.

She Smiles With Her Eyes and Laughs With Her Soul

Hey fashionistas!

Sorry for not posting the past couple of days, I was on a mini vacation with my mom!

We went to North Carolina for three days to see Bon Jovi (pictures to come!) so, I've been busy!

I wore this on Friday when I went shopping with Melissa and my family.

Yes, these pictures were taken in the doctors office that morning! My mom had an appointment and I needed some outfit pictures and the doctor took forever!

That's the reason I look so washed out in these pictures.

I had slept in braids and curled my hair in the morning, then took my top layers and teased them and pulled them back with a clear elastic. Then I just put the rest of my hair in a ponytail.

Very simple.

I probably won't be posting tomorrow because I have a big biology test that I need to do well on, so I'll be studying away!

Shopping is Dangerous, Shopping With a Friend is Even More Dangerous!

Hey fashionistas!

Yesterday I went to the mall with my best friend Melissa.

We went to Forever 21 and shopped until we dropped!

Here's what I bought.

I almost didn't get this dress because I don't really have anywhere to wear it but, Mel convinced me that a good LBD is always a must have. Even if you already have a couple.

Plus it was only $20.

Such a steal!

This is the top that I'm going to wear to the Bon Jovi concert on Tuesday!

Just a plain turquoise pendant on a silver chain.

Cute and simple!

Here's what Mel bought.

It's a sheer mauve-y purple top, at first she didn't even want to try it on but I made her and it looked so good on her! I was like "YOU MUST BUY THIS!"

This is a dark purple color, it reminds me of the dress that I almost got last trip to Forever 21.

This was so adorable on, it's striped and it is flow-y. We decided it was a great skirt for summer/spring!

I was going to get these but then I decided against it because I almost always wear studs.

So she was like "well one of us needs to get them.."

I told her that she had to get this to go with the sheer mauve top.

We had such a great time and we laughed a bunch!

One of the best shopping trips I've had in awhile!

This Is the Story of My Life & I Write It Everyday

Hey fashionistas,

sorry for not posting for almost two days (the horror!) , I've been busy.

Let me give you a little update on my life.

So remember how I told you my guy friend and I were arguing? Well I was the bigger person and apologized and we put it behind us, although things won't be the same due to what we argued about but, I'm not going to get into that!

I had two quizzes and a test today, so I was studying it up yesterday.

I'm pretty sure I didn't do well on my geometry test, the teacher wasn't there for the past two days and then he gave us a test on two sections he didn't teach us! *sigh*

My other quizzes were super easy though.

We have a four day weekend, so today is my Friday!

I'm going to have a five day weekend because of the Bon Jovi concert my mom and I are going to see, I won't be back at school until Wednesday!

Tomorrow one of my best friends (Melissa) is going shopping with me and my mom, Nana, and sister. We're going to Forever 21 and Costco.

My mission is to find a cute top to wear to the concert on Monday!

Mel hasn't been to the giant Forever 21 near us yet, so this will be quite an overwhelming experience! Even though I've been multiple times, I still can't get over the vastness of the store!

Almost 120,000 sq feet of Forever 21 !

Anyways, ramble over! Here's what I threw on before I walked out the door.

Oh, the necklace says "LOVE" but, the LO is on top of the VE .

Somedays when I don't know what to wear I just throw on layers of the same color, so today was very black on black. Or as the French would say "noir sur noir."

Just a wee bit of casual French!

I really need to get more sleep, my eyes look so tired...

Oh and this is random but, I wanted to show you the vase I've been working on in my pottery class, it's way different now then when I last talked about it.

Warning, it's very abstract. I finished doing the lines/swirls on it today, but this photo was taken yesterday. Also the bag in the opening is just to make sure it kept its form.

A lot of people said it looked like broccoli or cauliflower. Some think it's a tree, or a person's head.

I think it looks sort of under the sea-ish.

I guess it is open to your own interpretation. I just kind of embraced it's wonky form! My teacher loves it, she helped me get it to lean like it does.

Right now it's drying out, so I'll be probably getting it fired on Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm thinking of painting it a light blue or teal.

After somebody threw out that it looked like cauliflower I decided against a cream color!

Oh, another random side note, I got a super cute denim pencil skirt today from Coldwater Creek (which I call Oldwater Creek...) but, this skirt was too cute!

For Valentines day my mom bought me a purple plaid jacket from there, I'll show you guys soon!

Late Valentines Day OOTD

Sorry for not posting this outfit on Valentines Day, the day just flew by!

How was your Valentines Day?

I spent mine as a single lady and laughed a lot at 'super romantic' couples in the halls at school.

At my school we do singing valentines and your friends buy them and groups come into your class and sing and dance to you.

My best friend Melissa bought me a Justin Beiber (and for the record I do NOT have Beiber fever!) . I had 7 guys serenading me in biology to JB's 'Baby'. Embarrassing? Yes. Hysterical? Yes!

Weekend Summary♥

Hey fashionistas,

I had a really great weekend.

Friday night was my parent's anniversary so I stayed home that night with my sister.

On Saturday my dad and sister went to my Nana's house to help her out with some stuff and they spent the night there.

One of my best friends (Mel) came over and we had quite a good time!

First her, my mom, and I went to Costco and picked up some food and stuff.

Yes, we got the delicious frozen yogurt and we split a churro!

Then we came back home and just talked and laughed a lot.

She's hysterical, she had me almost peeing my pants!

Then that night my mom, her, and I all watched a cheesy Lifetime movie and we laughed our butts off!

Gotta love Lifetime movies!

Then we stayed up until almost 2 am just chitty chatting. The two of us could quite possibly talk forever !

We're looking a little rough, it was midnight!

Sunday morning came very fast! Mel and I made waffles and bacon. We used the Krusteaz mix and on the back it said to use the entire box for 8-10 waffles, so we made the whole thing and.. turns out they meant 8-10 Belgian waffles! So we ended up making like over 20 waffles!

The 15 or so that are left are now in the freezer!

Then we decided to make Valentines Day cards for our close BFFs (and two teachers that we adore!) .

Now I'm having some family come over for dinner, but later tonight my mom and I are running over to Mels (not literally running, driving.) to drop off a little surprise! Mel if you're reading this, I can't wait to show you!

Sad Eyes You Are the Only One Who's Blue Skies Are Grey

Hello fashionistas,

here's what I wore to school on Thursday, I literally I threw this on 10 minutes before I walked out the door!

Nothing super thrilling happened at school today.

Came home and studied for geometry and geography. My two least favorite subjects!

This title came from my favorite song e v e r Sad Eyes by Josh Rouse. Sorry this is live, I couldn't find a not live version!

Please excuse my mom's casual hot pink Crocs all up in my full length picture! She got them in like the little swag bags when she did some 1/2 marathon.

I had straightened my hair and then I just clipped it back. After 1st period though, I took it out and brushed through it. So it was straight the rest of the day.

I got a lot done on my vase in pottery. It's going to be a cylinder with a curve in it, it's sort of like sequins (well scales) with a lace pattern and they're all going to be overlapping. I'm pretty excited to be getting closer to being done with it!

I'm a huge pottery nerd, I'm not amazingly talented but, I do enjoy it.

I just made it into the display case on the front of D hall at my school, I was like freaking out, so excited! Hah, I'm such a dork!

Okay, I hope I didn't bore you with my ramblings!
