Random Life Update

Hey fashionistas!
Sorry I haven't blogged in a few days, I've been busy.
So many things have happened and I just haven't had time to blog it up!

I just thought that this post needed a little cute factor, so here's my aunts new kitten! His name is Dudley and he's adorable!

School is pushing me to my limits this year. Chemistry = the death of me! Conversions are extremely confusing to me. I sort of get them, but then it's like "how do you do convert this to millimeters cubed" and then I like freak and I'm like I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS!?!?! I panic and stress. I just need to breathe!

Drama with my friends is also keeping me busy/stressed and I don't even want to get into all of that.

Life has just gotten in the way of blogging. I'm going to try to pull a blog-worthy outfit together for tomorrow! So, I'll try to post one if I can pull something together in the morning!

Seen as this is a random post, I'm going to regale you all with tales of the weather.
It's been storming the past couple of days like crazy. Due to the crazy rain my beloved Gossip Girl (SEASON PREMIERE) didn't tape last night! Yes, I love that show. I was seriously bummed when it didn't tape! Plus, the CW doesn't put up recent episodes for a week. It's so sad that I know that. I was looking forward to the fashion on Gossip Girl, gotta love that inspiration.

Let's see what I else I can gab about.. Hmmm.
This is semi-beauty related; I got my eyebrows to grow the way I wanted. They're tamed! I'm still filling them in a bit with Urban Decay's 'Naked'.

Honestly I've got nothing else to say. I'm just talked out.

Be on the lookout for an outfit post soon!

Lots of love!

Camel and Calypso

Hello fashionistas!
I've been meaning to post this outfit for a week, another school outfit.
I wanted to wear this summertime dress once more because it will be sitting in my closet for the next couple of months!

Blazer & Dress: Target Tanktop: Kohls Shoes: Aerosoles Bracelet: Vintage Belt: Forever 21

This dress was a Calypso for Target and it is a size too big on me, so I have to belt it.  If I don't then it is just too boxy on me. I would have gone with a smaller size, but it was the last one they had, and I just had to have it!
I thought the camel blazer and white mixed well together with the pops of pink.

I got my dress for homecoming today. It's not your typical homecoming dress, I disliked majority of them, so I went with something that wasn't the usual. You guys will just have to wait and see!

I'm so jubilant over the fact that it is the weekend. I really need it; this week has felt like it has been four years! I've got a lot of homework to do and so much sleep to catch up on.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Fashion and Makeup - 9/21/11

Hello fashionistas!

Here's what I wore for school yesterday, probably my favorite outfit of the year (thus far)!
My hair actually held ALL DAY! I used my Sebastian Shaper Plus hairspray. I love that stuff.
It's a must have for anyone who lives in humidity.

The heels were surprisingly comfortable, I actually really love these shoes! I took them off once I got to pottery, thank goodness for a 6/7 class!

Top & Earrings: Forever 21 Jeans: GV Tanktop: Aeropostale Shoes: Target Bracelet: local store

Here's some close ups of my makeup.

These were taken after a full day of school, just the eye pictures, not the other ones.

The products I used to create this look were:

UDPP
-Urban Decay's Buck all over the lid
-Urban Decay's Naked in the crease to soften Buck
-Urban Decay's Smog on my upper lashline, then Urban Decay's Darkhorse over Smog
-Urban Decay's 24/7 Whiskey liner on bottom lashline, with Darkhorse over it
-Covergirl's waterproof Lashblast mascara on upper and lower lashes
-Urban Decay's Naked to fill in my eyebrows

I thought the browns on bottom really emphasized my blue eyes.
Do you guys have any color tricks you use when doing your makeup?

Another busy school day! I'm super tired and I have a good bit of homework to get done.
I'm now president of the Cameramics (ceramics and photography) club! Pretty darn excited.
I also got a 88% on my history test, so I'm pretty happy about that.

This week has seemed SO long, I'm really ready for it to be over.

Happy almost Friday!

Lots of love!

Small Haul!

Hello fashionistas!

I went shopping with my cousin and sister on Sunday, I picked up a few things from Forever 21.
I love F21, I can ALWAYS find stuff to buy from there! I had such a blast with the cousin (hi Meg!) and the sister.

On my to buy list was a pussybow blouse and some new sunglasses, seen as I lost mine at the beach a couple of weeks ago.

I love the lace detail on the back, it's so cute! I plan on rocking this with jeans, a pencil skirt, possibly blazers (if I want to cover the chic lace). I can't wait to wear this.

My new sunnies! These were a good fit on my face, they went up like a slight cat eye. If you guys want to see them on me, let me know.

Just a fun pair of dangly earrings.

Today was an extremely horrible day. My best friend, Lily, got her entire schedule changed, so now we don't have math together. Which is horrible because I have NO friends in there, and when Lily was in there I never had to attempt to make new friends. Not only is Lily gone from math, but we also don't have lunch together. There is nobody in my lunch that I'm friends with other than a few guys, so now my game plan is to eat most days in the pottery room, because my teacher is extremely nice. I have a few 'bro' friends to hang with, but hanging with the guys isn't always a blast..

I hope tomorrow is better, and I hope you're all having a better day than I had!

Ins and Outs #6

Hello fashionistas!

It's about time I do another ins and outs post, I haven't done one in AGES.
For those of you who are new to my blog, ins and outs can be fashion and beauty related or anything. Here's what I'm loving and what I'm so over.

INS

1.) Blazers! Living in Florida equals wearing dresses and shorts all summer long, so I've missed my beloved blazers. I've been wearing them so much to school, even though it's still hot outside. I just can't help myself! They make any outfit look more chic.

2.) My new haircut, I'm loving having this fierce hair style. It's stacked in the back and Posh Spice-esque in front. I didn't want to go as short as she did, so I left it slightly longer. I'm finding that it makes me look a lot older.

3.) I just purchased Natasha Bedingfield's "Strip Me" album. My favorites are Strip Me, Weightless, Little Too Much, Touch, Run-Run-Run, No Motzart and All I Need... Basically the entire album! You should definitely check this out. She's got such an amazing voice.

4.) I'm so glad that I'm back in my pottery class. It feels good to let my creativity be released onto my favorite medium, clay! I'm in the middle of a really geometric, abstract piece. Pottery is definitely something I foresee me doing after high school. Not as a career, but as a hobby.

5.) Watching movies. Last weekend I was sick and stayed in all weekend. I watched so many flicks! Let me list all the ones I watched: Uptown Girls, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, Serendipity, The Notebook, The Devil Wears Prada, and Something Borrowed.
I love all of these movies SO much! If I had not fallen asleep on Sunday afternoon I would have watched my all time favorite movie, How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days. My movie weekend made me feel a lot better.

6.) Joining clubs at school. Last year I was only in 2 clubs, this year I'm in 5! I feel like I'm taking part in so much more this year, which I'm glad I'm doing. It's a great way to meet new people.

OUTS

1.) Getting up early. I'm seriously over getting up for school EVERY MORNING. I miss sleeping in past 7:30. I'm also one of those people that gets on the school schedule and then wakes up at that time over the weekend.

2.) The weather here sucks. I'm seriously over heat and humidity. I just want it to be 65 degrees outside, then I'll stop complaining! It's just too darn hot.

3.) I hate when I run out of face wash and then I run out of five other things! This happened this week. It's so annoying!

That's about all I have for my ins and outs right now.
What are your ins and outs?
Have you discovered any great new things?

Blazer n' Burgundy

Hello fashionistas!
I wore this to school on Tuesday. I bought this shirt at Forever 21 almost a month and half ago, and it sat in the bag! I had to iron it that morning because it was just a wrinkled hot mess!

Top and Bangles: Forever 21 Blazer: Kohls Jeans: GV Shoes: Bealls Necklace: Lia Sophia

The top was too loose on me, I didn't realize how flowy it was when I tried it on in the store. To compensate for the extreme looseness, I tossed one of my favorite blazers over it to give me some shape.
I love the color of this, I don't own anything else in this shade, and I love it.
Have you guys ever had that problem? Shapeless clothing is so annoying!

I'm super happy that it's finally Friday! Tomorrow I have a family reunion to go to and I get to drive there! It's going to be the longest I've ever driven, it's almost 2 hours away.
On Sunday I have to study for my history test, but I'm not too worried. She gave us a study guide, so if I just sit down and study for a hour or two I'll do just fine.

Happy weekend fashionistas!

Simply Sweet

Hello my fashionable darlings!
Here's what I wore on Monday, sorry for not getting different poses of the outfit, I was in a rush!

Dress & Blazer: Target Shoes: Aerosoles Necklace: Lia Sophia

I cannot get enough of this blazer.. Which you obviously can tell because I've been wearing it A LOT.
I wore this dress on the first day of school, but I just tied the sash in the back. When I wore it on Monday I wrapped the sash around the front, then tied it. By doing this, I created a different shape with the dress.
I completed this look with a simple drop necklace.

For makeup I did my trademark bronze eyes. I wanted to brighten the inner corner so I did an "inner v highlight". Basically I took NYX's jumbo eye pencil in Yogurt and put Stila's Kitten eyeshadow over it.
Ta-da bright eyes!

School was hectic as always, I surprisingly didn't have much homework. I am extremely grateful for that.
Tomorrow I have a math test, Friday a French test, and Monday I have a world history test.
I have to be hittin' those books! I feel like my life is a blur of studying. Oh school.

I joined another club at school, it's called High Q. It's like team jeopardy, that's the easiest way I can think to explain it. We meet every Monday and Tuesdays until 5.
I'm also doing a pottery/photography club called "Cameramics", which I'm hoping to become President of. I'm in a couple of other clubs too. Clubbing it up!

Anyways, off to read some of my favorite blogs.

Lots of love!

Professional

Hello fashionistas!
Sorry for not posting over the weekend, I was sick the entire weekend. All I did was watch movies and sleep. I'm still sick, stupid cold! My head feels like a million pounds, I'm just so stuffy.

I wore this  little outfit to school a couple of days ago.

Top: Old Navy Blazer: Target Capris: Docker's Shoes: Bealls Necklace: Forever 21

Mom wanted to get a profile shot so you guys could see the braid.

I'm in love with this blazer, I bought it back in June and have been waiting to wear it since then.. Now I can't seem to stop myself from throwing it on! I got told by multiple people that I "looked like a teacher" when I wore this. I'm not sure why, apparently dressing nicely equals teacher? Who knows!

I'm currently watching the movie Something Borrowed with Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin. I love this movie! It is so good, if you haven't seen it, you need to watch it.

Hope all is well!

Woman In Black and Cheetah

Hello fashionistas!
I have a quick outfit of the day for you all. I wore this to school today.
I was having such a good hair day today..
I got so much volume in my bangs and I used this texturizing cream and it just gave this great finish!
Mom is trying say that my hair is turning brown, but it is seriously blonde. It's just a darker, golden shade.
Do you agree?

Top: Target Tanktop: Aeropostale Jean: GV Shoes: Forever 21 Necklace&Earrings: Mom's

Just a little school outfit for you all. I'm surprised I haven't done an outfit of the day with this top until now because I wore it a lot over the summer! I like the way it flows.

I woke up this morning feeling horrible. My throat was so sore and  I couldn't swallow. I immediately made a cup of hot tea and drank it while I got ready. Then during 2nd period I leaned over to tell my friend something and all of the sudden my voice was GONE. Luckily it mysteriously came back during lunch, I hate not being able to talk. I'm just so chatty!

Lily came home with me and then we picked up Ethan and went to this great ice cream place 45 minutes away. It's right across from the beach so we walked on the beach and chatted.

I feel like I'm going to crash any minute now, I just feel so sick. I hope I get better this weekend. If I don't post, you'll know it's because I'm not feeling good.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Lace and Heels

Hello my fashionistas!
I wore this to school last week, I took outfit photos today, but they didn't turn out well. So, I'm not going to post them. Last week one of my friends did an article on fall fashion for our school newspaper and she used me to model one of the trend lace.

Top and tanktop: Kohls Pencil Skirt: Coldwater Creek Shoes: Target Earrings: Mom's

These shoes were incredibly uncomfortable. I was dying in them! I will only be wearing them for short little outings from here on out.

At school today I had a pop quiz in my math class and I aced it. So happy!
I finished the first in my series of 3 in pottery today.
Not much else to report on for school.

I'm so ready for the weekend to be here, I need a little relaxation time. Only two more days..

Have a great day fashionistas!

August Favorites

Hello my beautyistas!
Happy Labor Day!
I decided to go ahead and do my August favorites so I can share them with you all.

-Revlon lipstick in Pink Velvet
-Physcian's Formula translucent powder
-Stila convertible color in Camellia or 01
-MAC matte creme
-Stila Kitten eyeshadow
-Pure Ice nail polish in Fast Lane

Left to right

Revlon lipstick, Kitten eyeshadow, convertible color unblended, blended.

The MAC matte creme has been great because my face has been breaking out a bit so, I just put a dab of this on, dip my finger in the translucent powder and put it on the spot, et voila the spot is gone! Well sort of.

This lipstick has been my go-to for the past month, it's bright without being too flashy for school. This with a bit of mascara and I'm set!

On the days where I want full eye makeup, I've been loving Kitten. Not that I haven't been in a love affair with Kitten since last year. It's my all time favorite shadow. I could talk about it for years.

The Stila convertible color has made its way in to my everyday routine this month. It's great for a warm, sun kissed look. I haven't even been contouring, and you all know how I love to contour!

This gold has found itself on my nails/toes almost all month. It's opaque in one coat, but I usually do two coats. Plus it was super cheap!

-Shaper Plus hair spray
- Redken Volume Guts 10 mousse

This hairspray is the BEST hairspray I have ever used in my entire life. Living in Florida equals a constant fight against humidity, this hairspray holds ALL day. It's amazing. It's gives a great hold, but it doesn't give you that "hairspray hold" look.

This volumizing mousse has taken my hair to new heights (well new heights sans teasing)! I'm a huge fan of volume in my hair, and this has given me sky high hair. I swear I should have been born in Texas or New Jersey, somewhere that appreciates big hair.

What did you all love last month? Did we have some of the same product loves?

I'm off to go catch a movie with the best friend.

Double the Style.

Hello fashionistas!
I've got two outfit posts for you all, I wore these outfits on Thursday and Friday.

Dress: Kohls Blazer & Shoes: Bealls Bracelets: Mom's Belt and Earrings: Forever 21

Dress: Target Shoes: Bealls Tanktop and Cardigan: Kohls Watch: Avenue Earrings and Hair Clip: Forever 21

I do not like these pictures! That's why I just a did a two-in-one outfit of the day post!

Sorry I've been a little MIA these past couple of days. I've been super busy!
I went home with Lily on Friday after school, then we went downtown that night with my other best friend, Ethan. After that I spent the night at Lil's. Satruday morning we got up and walked the bridge, then laid out by the pool. Then my mom picked me up and we did some shopping, only we surprisingly didn't buy anything! Yes, you read that right!

I'm not really sure what my plans for today are, they're kind of up in the air.
I'm just extremely happy that we don't school tomorrow. Happy (almost) Labor Day!

What are your weekend plans?
