A Blue Box and a Hefty Price

Hello fashionistas!

Today I made a decision that I would be saving my money for something beautiful, something that comes in a blue box, and a hefty price tag... I know you all know exactly what I'm talking about, a piece of jewelry from Tiffany and Co.

I think I want this piece
$165

Or possibly this piece.
$115

Which one do you like?

I'm going to be saving basically all of my money for a couple of months, but it will be oh so worth it.
Of course this cash saving starts after I go back to school shopping, but I will not be making an unnecessary trip to MAC... No matter how badly I want Woodwinked and Star Violet.

Do you have any Tiffany pieces? Did you buy them or was it a special present?

Wish me luck on my saving!

Confidence.

Hello dolls,

Today I want to talk a little about confidence

CONFIDENCE- THE ACT OF BELIEVING IN YOURSELF ♥

I think confidence is the perfect accessory to any outfit.
Every girl should carry herself with it. No matter where they're, what they're wearing, or what they're doing. Too often we let the negative things people say get to us.
In the words of Selena Gomez, "who says, who says you're not perfect, who says you're not worth it?"

We all have things we dislike about ourselves. I don't love my legs or my arms, but we need to be happy with who we are. We tend to take the things we dislike about ourselves and worry about them so much that we make ourselves unhappy. Seriously, who cares if you snort when you laugh or that you aren't a size zero! We need to stop comparing ourselves to celebrities, friends, strangers. We are not them. And you know what, we should be happy to be who we are.
We shouldn't let the insecurities we have define who we are. We need to love ourselves for who we are

I think we need to stand up for ourselves, acknowledge the fact that we are amazing in our own way.
When you walk into a room you should walk in with your shoulders back, your head held up high, and a dazzling smile on your face. You might not always feel super confident, but you fake it until you make it (or in this case believe it). If you act confident people will start to notice you, and see how fabulous you are. Confidence will take you far in life, if you want people to believe in you, you have to believe in yourself.

Be strong, be self assured, and remember to charm the pants off of everyone!

Haul Time!

Hey fashionistas!
I've gone shopping the past couple of days and I've picked up a few new things.

This is from Kohls.

This is also from Kohls. It doesn't look super cute in this picture, but on it looked really cute! The bow also doesn't look like a bow when it is on.

I bought this blazer from Target, but I couldn't get a good picture of it. So if you want one, click here to buy it online. On the website it's $30, I bought mine in store for $15, so you might want to check your local Target.

This is just a nightgown from Forever 21. I would have take a picture of it, but I've worn it and it is in the wash right now. You can find it online here.

Both are from Forever 21.
This is from Forever 21 as well. I thought this would be super cute to pull my bangs back.

I thought you guys would want to see the headband on, the picture of just the headband doesn't do it justice!
This is Ethan's dog Nelly, isn't she adorable?  I wish Colby was small enough to be picked up!

I also bought some VS pink undies, but I honestly didn't feel that you guys needed to see them! Oh, and I bought a Coconut Mango lotion and a small Salted Caramel candle from Bath and Body Works.

Have you guys been shopping lately? I'm not doing anymore shopping until back to school shopping.

Speaking of school, school starts back up on August 22nd. I am not looking forward to that! I still need to read the book that we were assigned. One Writers Beginning  which is by Eudora Welty. It looks very dry, but I have to read it, so I'll probably start/finish it this week.

I'm going to do a new room post later this week, so be on the look out for that! I can't wait to show you guys.

Lots of love!

Done Up - Eye of the Day

Hello beautyistas!
I have a little eye of the day that I did today. Simple bronzey eye makeup, bronze and gold looks are some of my favorites to do!

Products used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Stila Acapulco trio, the outer color all over my lid
Urban Decay Half Baked all over the Stila shade
Urban Decay Smog in the outer corner
ELF Cream Eyeliner in brown on upper lashline
Colossal on my upper lashes (one coat)
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt as a base on my lower lashline
Urban Decay Smog all over the Yogurt
Urban Decay Half Baked in the inner corner of my lower lashline, about 1/3 of my lower lashline has that over Smog
Urban Decay Whiskey in the outer corner of my bottom rim of my eye

That's it!
Sorry I didn't take a full face picture, it just slipped my mind.

Today was the sister's birthday and we had a little party, it was fun. Lily got to come over and we hung out for a bit. We went through old yearbooks and laughed so hard! Yearbook photos are just NOT a good representation of how one actually looks. I got to drive for the first time in 2 weeks today, did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself.. And I am!
I have a couple of things that I purchased yesterday (mom purchased for me...), I'm going to take photos and put them up probably Sunday or Monday. I didn't get much, only one clothing item, and it was pajamas!

Eyes, Lips, Face, and Haul

Hello my little fashionistas!
About a week and half ago I placed an order with E.L.F and it arrived in the mail yesterday!
I didn't get very much, but what I did get was what I really wanted.

♥ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder
♥ELF Studio Cream Liner in Brown
♥ELF free gift Brightening Eye Color quad in Ivy

I'm a huge fan of the contouring powder duo, so I bought a backup! I also love, love, love my studio cream liner in black, so I purchased the brown too!

♥ 11 Piece Brush Collection (Studio)
Eeek, I've been wanting this for quite sometime, so I finally bought it! There was a 60% off sale going on, that's why I broke down and bought it. I already had 3 brushes from the studio line and love them, so this was the perfect edition to my brushes. I won't be buying anymore for quite a long time. I think they may have given me an extra powder brush instead of a blush brush. It wouldn't matter to me if I hadn't just lost my blush brush from the studio line that I purchased a couple of months ago... Must track that down!

I had ordered E.L.F's studio line blush in 'giddy gold', but when my order arrived it said that it was out of stock so they refunded me my money. I'm a little sad about that, it looked like such a unique color. There were tons of other things I wanted, but I only bought a few. There's always a sale going on over at E.L.F so I'll just buy my other lemmings next time!

Today I went to the eye doctor because my right eye has been irritated for a few days, the doctor didn't find anything. She said to try a cold compress and take allergy medicine because it may just be from going out of town and coming back. I'm a little worried that it could be more, but I'll do as she says, and if it doesn't get better I'll be off to the doctor again.
This afternoon mom and I are going birthday present shopping for my sister, Sierra. She's turning 13 tomorrow! We're going to Forever 21, so I'm excited, love that store!

If you want to see swatches of anything I bought, let me know!

Have you guys hauled anything lately? Or partake in E.L.F's 60% off sale?

Lots of love!

Nair Review

Hello fashionistas!

When I showed that I purchased Nair a couple of weeks ago, I had many requests to do a review.
So here goes nothing!

The product.

I bought Nair to try out because I had this strange rash on my knee and I was worried that if I shaved it would spread it. Thankfully the rash is gone, in case you cared!

I've had friends who have tried Nair before and I was forewarned that it did not smell very pleasant. This was true. I decided that I could get past the stank of it, if it really worked.
The directions state to apply on dry legs and let it sit for no longer than 10 minutes, and you can go about your normal showering routine while having it on.
I tried to use it in the shower, after letting it sit I started to use the sponge and rub it on my legs in a circular motion. Nothing was happening (other than my nose being attacked by the chemical scent). So, after I showered I dried my legs and reapplied. I figured I didn't use enough of it, so I waited, let it sink in, and tried to use the sponge again. It worked, after a good twenty minutes of painful scrubbing. The pores on my legs were enlarged to the max. There were also angry red splotches all over my legs.

Did it remove hair?
Yes, it did do that. It didn't leave my legs silky smooth like a normal razor would, they felt slightly stubbly.

Did you give it another try?
I did. It was the same thing. Giant pores and not a normal razor silky finish.

Would you recommend this?
Honestly, no I wouldn't. My legs stung after using this product. Maybe it was just my skin, or maybe that's a normal reaction, I don't know. Unless I have another rash on my leg, I will not being using this!

Did you like anything about this product?
I liked the fact that it was a pump dispenser. Does that count?

I'm curious to know what other's thoughts are on this product. Let me know in the comments below!
^ I just love the way that rhymes.

Ins and Outs #4

Hello fashionistas!
I'm sorry I didn't post much (ahem.. cough cough, hardly at all) while on vacation!
We got back last night, home sweet home. I'm going to do a post on my trip to North Carolina during the week.
I've missed you guys!
Anyways, onto my ins and outs.

INS

1.)  Polyvore! I am so obsessed with Polyvore, it's every fashionista's dream. You can find me on there as glamgirlS2014.

2.) While on vacation I read so much! I love reading, I read so much that my mom says she can hardly keep books in the house! I started a 600 something page book 2 days ago and I'm already halfway through it!

3.)  This a random in, but I'm addicted to Nature Valley Granola Thins! They're delicious and only 80 calories. It's like a smore sans the marshmallow.

4.) David Cook's new CD This Loud Morning. Love this CD! My favorites are Paper Heart,  Fade Into Me, The Last GoodBye, and We Believe.

OUTS

1.) Heat! I live in Florida and it is hotter than the blazes here! I just wish it would cool down for a bit, sadly I can't control the weather.

2.) Road trips. I actually really like road trips, I'm just road-tripped out! We drove to and from North Carolina and I'm a little over the car right now. Colby (the 85 pound yellow lab who's been on here a few times) slept on my lap almost the entire way there and back!
 Granted he is adorable...
He had anti-naseau/sleeping medicine so he would be good on the ride. Needless to say, this was not the comfiest!

I don't really have anymore outs, so they're shorter than normal!

I'll be back to posting regularly this week.
Lots of love!

Polyvore Creations #2

Hello fashionistas!
I'm off on vacation, but don't worry I have not forgotten about you all!
I would love to show you all what I've been wearing, but honestly it has not been exciting! Dresses over bathing suits, shorts and tops, nothing super fabulous. My makeup has also been basic, powder, bronzer, blush, mascara, so not much to show you guys. I didn't want to abandon the blog, so I thought I'd show you some of my recent Polyvore outfits.

Classically Sweet

£30 - oasis-stores.com

£635 - net-a-porter.com

$1,450 - alexandermcqueen.com

$7,200 - tiffany.com

This first outfit I titled as Classically Sweet. I thought the pussybow top was so sweet and when I mixed it with the skirt I thought it looked 'Classically Sweet'!
I can see someone wearing this out on a date, or to the office if you were to change the shoes and bag.
I'm so in love with all of the McQueen clutches, too bad I can't afford one!

SunFun

£18 - oasis-stores.com

$6 - jcpenney.com

$288 - nordstrom.com

$45 - jessicasimpsoncollection.com

$4.95 - amazon.com

Summer just wouldn't be the same without stripes, shorts, and sandals! This would be cute to walk through a park or be on a boat (on a boat, always reminds me of that rap song)! To contrast with the blues I thought a nice red polish would be perfect. Simple lips, big sunnies, and you're set!

Workin' It

$421 - my-wardrobe.com

£40 - missselfridge.com

$257 - my-wardrobe.com

$34,120 - barneys.com

$80 - chickdowntown.com

$16 - nordstrom.com

This final outfit I had in mind for a day at work. I feel like a classy lady working in a law firm or fashion magazine would wear this to work. I thought the soft mauve color of the pants played nicely with the earrings and makeup. The glasses would make you look very professional.

Again, I love Polyvore, I can't stop creating outfits on it! I'm addicted.

I'll try to post again this week!
I've missed you guys!

Lots of love!

Travel Smart By Packing Smart

Hello fashionistas!
I have a quick post before I head off to bed (well some ice cream first)...
Packing is something that is a big old pain in the booty for me.
I mean seriously, how the heck am I supposed to know what I'll be in the mood to wear in a week?!
I'm notorious for overpacking. Oh well! Better to have more than not enough.

 ^Travel fabulous!

Here are some simple tips to help you pack more efficiently.

♥ Come up with outfits to wear. If you have a set plan for each day this will be much easier (I did not have a set plan, so the packing I did today was not quite as easy)

♥ Try on what you're going to pack before you pack it. This will let you know whether or not you'll be comfortable, and if not you can always tweak the outfit.

♥ Bag your accessories for each outfit. This will make getting dressed in the morning super easy.

♥ If you tend to wear the same jewelry then just put it all in one bag or travel jewelry holder.

♥ ROLL your clothing! This is the BIGGEST space saver. I learned this little tip from my Grammy.

♥ Always bring basic things you can layer with. Bring a couple of solid tank tops, cardigans/jackets, jeans/shorts and you can build a myriad of outfits. Mix and match.

♥ Put your undergarments in Ziploc baggies because it helps keep it all in one place.

♥ Pack all your toiletries in plastic Ziploc baggies. If anything spills it won't end up on your clothing.

Do you guys have any packing tips? If you do, let me know in the comments below!

I'll try to post as much as possible next week.

Lots of love!

Last Week in Pictures

Hello my beautiful fashionistas!
I thought I'd show you a glimpse into last week, it was a busy week!

1.) Me messing around on my webcam. I had MAC's melon pigment on my eyes in case anyone was wondering, I don't recall the other products!
2.) My sleepy bebe! Mr. Java. just lazing around. He's so cute!
3.) David Cook's new CD titled This Loud Morning. I'm so in love with this CD! I saw him in concert back in 8th grade, he's so good.
4.) I'm a huge fan of Lousie Bagshawe, her books are scandalous and filled with plot twists! The Go-To Girl was no different, you should definitely check her books out. I finished this book and two others that I would have pictured had I not lent them to Mel.
5.) I spent a good 2 days painting last week. This is your little preview into what my room looks like...!
6.) Mel and I being funny and posing with our rollers! Aren't we cute?

This was last week, I'll do another post next week about this week. Does that make any sense at all?
I hope it does!

Today I did some stuff around the house, nothing special.
Tomorrow I'm packing for vacation. I am the worst at packing, I always overpack. Seriously... I can never decided just how MANY pairs of shoes to bring.
