Color-Blocked Candy

Hello fashionistas!
Here's another outfit of the day. I actually wore this to school today.
I'm glad that I finally tried the color-blocking trend (okay, I've done it before on a small accessorizing scale)!
I have to say that I will definitely be doing it again. I think I'd like these pants with peach..

Top: JCP Tank-top: Aeropostale  Blazer and earrings: Kohl's Pants: Target Shoes: Belk Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

I've been dying to color block an outfit with these pants and I thought that this hot pink hue contrasted the pants very well. Hot pink and blue have always been one of those quirky color combinations that I love.
I kept the rest of the outfit simple because I didn't want to have too many colors or patterns going on. I felt that the black blazer and black heels toned it all down. Paired with my trademark Tiffany's necklace and my favorite silver knot earrings. I have a necklace that matches the earrings, I need to get an outfit of the day with me wearing it on here!

I used my new Too Faced Summer Eye palette today and I have to say that I quite like it! Can't wait to use it tomorrow. Sorry for the strange glow on my face- the sun was hitting the porch at a weird angle.

I had a pretty good day for it being a Monday. I woke up barely functioning and had to down two cups of coffee before I could face the day! I got the chemistry test that I took on Thursday back and I got a 100% on it. That made my day! Other than that nothing too exciting went on.

Have a fabulous week!

PS: On a random note, I'm totally loving this song/video. So touching!

Maxi-ing Out

Hello fashionistas!
I finally wore my new maxi dress to school on Thursday and had to snap outfit pictures to share with you all!

Dress: Target Blazer: JCP Shoes: Kohl's Necklace: Tiffany & Co. Earrings: Forever 21

I was so excited when I found this dress at Target. Not only do I love the colors and the chevron stripes on the bodice, but I love the fact that it hits me at the perfect length. Long enough that there is no awkward ankle gap, but not so long that I'm constantly stumbling on the hem. It has spaghetti straps, so I had to wear my favorite jean blazer over it for school. I might go back to Target and check out their other maxi dresses. I could go for one in a solid color....
This dress will be perfect to go over bathing suits and to pair it with a floppy beach hat and oversized sunglasses. I actually stole my sister's gladiator sandals to pair with this dress. I was really happy that she didn't realize it because she hates when I wear her shoes! Hehe(:

I wish you guys could see my earrings in these photos. They're the same color as the blue stripes in the dress. Just a bit of casual color coordinating!
Do you guys coordinate your accessories with your outfits or do you mix and match?

I'm off to go make myself some breakfast and then I have to finish my research paper rough draft. Only one more section to write about! I'm hoping to do my laundry today and soak up some sun at the pool. I needed a lazy Sunday!

Loads of love!

Small Sephora Haul!

Hello fashionistas!
I did a little Sephora hauling tonight and wanted to share it with you all.

While I was shopping about I was trying to decide whether I was going to purchase the Too Faced Summer Eye palette or Nars' Orgasm Illuminator. The saleswoman made my life easier and gave me a sample of the illuminator and told me that they weren't going to receive anymore of the palettes. I instantly knew that I had to buy the palette right then and there. Seriously, I've been dying for them to get this bad boy in stores!
#Makeupaddict.
Anyways, along with the palette I picked up one of Sephora's nano lip liner pencils in #17 Funky Fuschia.

How gorgeous? SO GORGEOUS. Can't wait to play around with this. Definitely be expecting a review sometime this week. Sorry, I know you guys are probably annoyed with my lack of swatches, but I didn't want to write up a mini review before I get to experiment.

Funky Fuschia is a really bright pink liner. I will probably use this all over my lips instead of just lining them. If I added a clear gloss on top it would be a nice pop of pink. For $5 you really can't go wrong with these.

Have a great weekend!

Loads of love!

Floral and Coral

Hello fashionistas!
Just another outfit of the day that I've been meaning to post for a few weeks.

Blazer: Target Top: JCP Tank-top & capris: Kohl's Shoes: Aerosoles Bracelet: Vintage Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

This was just a simple outfit that I threw together. I wanted to embrace spring, so I wore this floral top that my Nana bought for me. Paired it with my camel blazer that I bought from Target ages ago. I like this blazer a lot, but the material wrinkles so easily! It's very obnoxious.

To go along with the shirt, I wore my Rimmel London Kate Moss 12 coral lipstick. Other than the lipstick, the makeup was the normal face routine with a lot of mascara.
Simple hair with my bangs twisted over and I was done.

Today was such a long day; I woke up with a pounding migraine, took some medicine and yet it never went away. I'm pretty sure the only thing that can cure this is a long night of sleep. I'll definitely be hitting the hay early tonight!

Loads of love!

Polka Dotty Pink

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share what I wore to school yesterday.

Dress: Kohl's Jacket: JCP Shoes: Aerosoles Bag: Goldfinch Belt and bracelet: Forever 21

With this outfit I went with my all time favorite pattern, polka dots!
Polka dots are, in my opinion, the best spring/summer 2012 trend. They're so simple and chic. I really love black and white polka dotted pieces.

To toughen up this feminine look I paired it with my structured jean jacket that I borrowed from the best friend. Thanks Lily! Obviously I needed some color in this outfit, so I used my sassy hot pink purse and went with a belt in the same color family. I wore this zig-zag bracelet that my sister bought me for Christmas to have a little pattern that contrasts with my polka dots.

The makeup worn with this outfit was extremely simple.
I did my normal face makeup (concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, highlighter). For my eyes I lined my upper lash-line with Urban Decay's Darkhorse, applied Urban Decay Whiskey 24/7 eyeliner to my inner lash-line and tight-lined my upper lash-line, topped everything off with a few coats of CoverGirl's Lashblast mascara.
On my lips I have on MAC's Speed Dial cremesheen lipstick with CoverGirl's Wetslicks Red Riot lipgloss on top. In my opinion, that lipstick + the lipgloss = the perfect pink pout.

Okay, I'm off to go get ready for my day. I'm doing my Mom's friend's makeup for a wedding that she's going to. Later on I'm going to be hanging with the boyfriend. Should be a fabulous Saturday. Tomorrow I'm going wedding attire shopping with the best friend, Melissa. We're going to our teacher's wedding in May. So exciting, especially because it will be both of our first wedding experiences!

Loads of love!

New Layout!

Hello fashionistas!

I just wanted to give a shout out to my friend, Madeleine, for fixing my blog up with a new layout and header!
I love it so much and really appreciate that her for doing it! She's a code genius. Code is just too much for me to handle! Anyways, glad to be out with the old and in with the new!
What do you guys think of it? I hope you all like it as much as I do. I love the polka dot background. We all know that I have a *slight* polka dot obsession...

I'm overjoyed with the fact that tomorrow is Friday; this has been the longest week ever. My boyfriend is coming into town tomorrow to spend the weekend with me. Coincidentally, I'm very excited for that.

Loads of love!

Fraas Animal Print Scarf Review + Outfit of the Day

Hello fashionistas!
Today I wanted to share an outfit of the day with you all and review a fabulous item from the lovely scarf company, Fraas.
I wore this outfit to a doctor's appointment and to run around doing errands last Friday.

Scarf: Fraas Dress and earrings: Forever 21 Jacket: JCP Shoes: Kohl's

FRAAS DEBUTS A CONTEMPORARY ANIMAL PRINT OPTION WHICH CAN BE WORN AS A WRAP OR A VERSATILE SCARF:
WITH THREE SPOT-ON COLOR WAY OPTIONS, IT IS AN IDEAL ACCESSORY AND WARDROBE ENHANCER FOR A SELF OR GIFT PURCHASE

"The escalating interest in the scarf and wrap/stole category is evident everywhere, as witnessed by looking around at fashion-savvy women. And no collection is more on target for this chic look than the luxurious line up of  lightweight options that FRAAS is offering in its Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
More than 30 new Fraas brand styles are debuting in the upcoming season--many in multiple colorway options. Three pretty palettes and themes are apparent--Sun Kissed Summer, Powder Box and Gentle Voice. Within Powder Box, a range of flattering mid tone and neutral shades, is a Contemporary Leopard Print scarf which is a winning choice for savvy consumers. This style (393085)  in its three color palettes is suitable for every complexion and can accessory  varied looks from casual, daytime, business and even dress up. 3It measures 28 x 80 inches, retails for $40 and is easy care, comprised of lightweight acrylic.  This style can be folded into a scarf or worn as a wrap. Perfect for travel, since it is so diverse and is extremely packable requiring little space and unpacking wrinkle-free.  Wraps are ideal for chilling evenings and over-cooled rooms. Many savvy females are never without one.
“Our aim at FRAAS is to give consumers great choices of fresh products at affordable price points,” says Aimee Zucchetti, the company’s Brand and Sales Manager. “These new styles—which are part of a far larger collection that includes an extremely comprehensive choice of scarves and wraps in many materials, sizes and shapes— allows them to renew their wardrobes and accessorize like fashionistas without spending a fortune!”
“Whenever a woman wants to add a finishing touch to her outfit and add pizzazz to her entire look—she can reach for one of our FRAAS styles and be 100% confident that it will produce the right effect,” says Ken Krieger, the VP of Sales for the innovative international manufacturer of woven and knit scarves, stoles, ruanas, wraps, capes and related accessories."

First off I want to tell you that I was sent this product to consider for review, but I wouldn't be sharing it with you all if I didn't absolutely love it! When I received this scarf I instantly liked the light feel of it. Living in Florida means that it is warm and I'm always wanting to wear scarfs during spring, but most of mine are just too warm! This scarf was light enough that  I was able to wear it on a warm, spring day.
Another thing I appreciated about this scarf was that when I rolled it up to store in my closet it didn't wrinkle at all! Which is a great thing because who wants to wear a wrinkling scarf? Not me.
This scarf is perfect for me because it adds just enough pattern to your outfit. I can't wait to mix this scarf with a striped shirt or dress. Very on trend for spring-summer 2012.
I also think that the quality of this scarf is really great, especially for the price. $40 won't break the bank, but it will buy you a great Fraas scarf!

This style of scarf comes in two other colors.

If you're in the market for a flirty printed scarf, then I definitely recommend that you head over to Fraas' website!

Have a great day!

Sunday Snapshot

Hello fashionistas!
I went to take makeup photos for a post today, but my camera died and I'm out of batteries.
So annoying.

Anyways, I'm off to see Daughtry tonight- can't wait! I adore him and his music.
Here's a little selfie snapshot of my face and hair for the concert. I'm definitely re-creating this makeup look to share with the blog. I'm extremely bummed that I had no more batteries for my camera!
I'm wearing a Gap top and a cardigan from H&M that I borrowed from the best friend, Melissa.

Okay, I'm off to finish getting ready to leave for the concert, so so so excited!

Have a fabulous evening!

Blues and Beads

Hello fashionistas!
A couple of weeks ago I found what I'd been searching for- a pair of cobalt blue capris! I did a little happy dance when they fit perfectly and hit my legs at a non awkward length. Sometimes capris don't settle in a good place and then I refuse to buy them.

Top: Forever 21 Pants: Target Blazer: JCP Shoes: Aerosoles Bracelet: local store

I wanted to color-block with these pants, but I wasn't ready to jump straight into color-blocking! Tested the colorful pants waters and decided that I love these pants. I'm totally pairing these with some kind of hot pink in the future. I kept it muted this time with the black beaded top and wore my favorite jean blazer. My boyfriend was teasing me about my love for this blazer, but it's so comfortable!

Wore my beloved MAC Melon pigment on my eyes; I hadn't used that pigment since last summer. Will definitely be using that a lot in the future, be expecting to see some makeup posts with this!
Also, when the heck did my hair get this long?! I hadn't really noticed it until this picture. I went to get it cut last week, but my hairdresser told me that it was so healthy that I shouldn't bother cutting it. I hadn't gotten it cut since December, I'm surprised I've kept it so healthy!

Today I had my neurology appointment and luckily I am in no immediate danger! The original reason for all of these MRIs and doctor appointments was a hand tremor. I'm brain tumor free and other than some slight bulging in my C4-C7 discs in my neck I'm okay. They are going to run more blood-work to see if I'm deficient in some vitamin or mineral. Post doctor's appointment my dad, mom, and I went out for lunch. Then mom and I went to the mall and did a little bit of shopping.

I'm off to have a best friend sleepover, the usual Friday night routine!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Spring Break Snapshots

Hello fashionistas!
As I promised, here are some snapshots from my spring break.

On Monday Lily and I went to visit my boyfriend at college. Toured campus with him and did some shopping at the mall. It was really a grand time. I didn't snap any pictures until the end, but here are just a few!

Lily and I casually standing on a bench. Isn't it crazy how much taller she is? So much envy for her amazon legs.

Me and my boy.
I actually adore this photo, so candid. I just wish it wasn't blurry.

The day after visiting the boy I just cleaned and chilled at my house.
The next day the other best friend, Melissa, texted me and asked if I wanted to beach it with her, obviously I did! We had a full day of fun in the sun and both had the burns to prove it (even though we diligently reapplied SPF)!

Friday and Saturday I also spent with Toby (my boy), I sadly don't have any snapshots to share with you. I really wish I did!

These last 3 photos are just some pictures we took at brunch on Easter, right before my camera died. I hate when my batteries die and I don't have any extras!

My Aunt Chrissy and I.

Aunt Kathie, Meg, and Nana.

The momma and I. I loved her purple dress.. I'm so stealing that!

It was truly a fabulous spring break, it went by way too fast!
Did you guys do anything exciting or just entertaining? My spring break was just very relaxing and I definitely enjoyed every minute of it!

I'm off to go study for a history test and workout.

Love you guys!

Cheery Easter Brunch Outfit

Hello fashionistas!
For Easter the family and I went out to brunch at the Hyatt. I love going out on Easter because it is a great reason to get dressed up in adorable, cheery dresses. I did not waste this opportunity to whip out the hot pink dress that my Nana bought me a few months ago! I had been saving it for this exact occasion.

Dress & bracelet: Belk Jacket: JCP Shoes: Aerosoles

I love the pink shade of this dress. So bright and it makes quite a statement! The subtle textured polka dots make me extremely happy because of my polka dot obsession. I like the neckline of this dress because it's low enough to be feminine, but high enough that I don't have to wear a tank-top to avoid any unladylike situations! The ruffles are super cute, I'm glad that they didn't make the ruffles a different color; multicolored ruffles would've been too much! I wore it with my jean blazer because I thought it would be cold at brunch- it was! Paired with my favorite black wedges and classic silver bracelet.

I kept my hair and makeup very simple. Went with my stand by neutral smokey eye with loads of mascara.
I wore my hair straight because I didn't feel like curling it. It was super windy over the weekend and I didn't want to spend the time curling it for it to be all wind whipped.

I spent the day enjoying my final day of spring break with my best friend, Lily. Great way to end my break.
I promise I'll do a spring break snapshot post this week, many pictures to share with you all! It has been a fabulous spring break. Seriously dreading going back to school tomorrow. Can't I just sleep in and relax forever?

March Favorites

Hello fashionistas!
Let me be super cliche and say that I can't believe another month has rolled on.
How is it possible that 2012 is a 1/4 of the way over?! Summer will be here in a blink of the eye.
I thought I'd share the products that I was in love with during March.

ELF Golden Bronzer
OPI Charged Up Cherry
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
Olay Luscious Embrace body lotion
Beauty Rush Glampagne cream eyeshadow
Kate Moss for Rimmel London lipstick in 12
Too Faced Romantic Eye palette

Left to right:  Soulmates, Kiss the Bride, Bouquet Toss, I do, Cut the Cake, Honeymoon, Unveil, First Dance, Ever After

I adore this entire palette. Especially the shades Soulmate, I Do, Cut the Cake, First Dance, Honeymoon, and Ever After.
Okay, who am I kidding, all the shades are incredible. I really need to do a look for the blog with these! I always forget to snap pictures before school.  For my full review, click here

Left to right: ELF Golden Bronzer, Rimmel London lipstick in 12, & Beauty Rush's cream shadow in Glampagne

I've been using ELF's Golden Bronzer for quite awhile, I just recently started it using it almost daily. I like the healthy, sunny glow my face has after I apply it. Sometimes I like to play up my lips and put a bit of this right above my cupid's bow, it creates an illusion of even fuller lips.

Rimmel London's Kate Moss lipstick line is great. I'm bummed that I didn't buy more shades! 12 is a vibrant candy coral that lasts for quite awhile on your lips. It's also doesn't dry out my lips, which is very important!

Another product that I've had in my beauty arsenal for an eternity is Beauty Rush's cream eyeshadows.
Prior to forking over $18 for Urban Decay's primer potion I used this cream shadow as my base. After using UDPP for over 2 years I can confidently say that this product does the exact same job at a fraction of the price. My eyeshadow stays put all day. I also think that the Glampagne shade is akin to Urban Decay's Sin primer potion. Only problem is that I don't think that Victoria Secret's still sells these. I did a quick Google search and found them on All Cosmetics Wholesale.

OPI Charged Up Cherry (sorry for the blurriness, camera wouldn't cooperate)!
I just love the neon pink this polish brings to my toes, very fun!
The Sally Hansen Hard as Nails top coat is the bomb, my polish stays put for over a week.

Last but not least, Olay's Luscious Embrace body lotion! I'm completely obsessed with the scent it's said to have crush orchid extract in it. It smells amazing and it is incredibly moisturizing. Next time you need to pick up a new body lotion, check this out stuff out!

Can anyone else believe that tomorrow is Friday? My spring break has blown by! Tomorrow new guy is coming into town, very excited.
What are you all doing for Easter? My family and I are all going out to brunch at the Hyatt. I have the cutest dress to wear, will definitely share outfit pictures with you all!

Loads of love!

Simply Simple

Hello fashionistas!
I'm back with another outfit to show you all. I actually wore this like 2 weeks ago, slacking. Honestly I thought it was such a simple outfit that I wasn't sure if I wanted to share. I decided to anyways, I can't get all dolled up every single day! My easy days consist of simple tops and usually flats (gotta give my feet a break from all of the heels!).

Blouse: Target Capris, belt, & shoes: Kohl's Bag: Ivanka Trump Earrings and tank-top: Forever 21

If I don't belt this top it has more of a boho vibe, but the belt really cinches the waist in. The pattern on the belt makes it appear that I put more thought into this look than I actually did! Rocked the favorite capris (I really need to buy another pair)... Paired with my new favorite flats for a tiny pop of color, these shoes were such a good buy! I love this Ivanka Trump bag, I just hate the fact that the cream color picks up the dye from my jeans. The back of the bag has a slight blue tint, which drives me i n s a n e!
I stole these earrings from my mom, she bought them and never wore them. They made a casual trip to my room and told me that they didn't want to take a return trip.

I just did the same braid updo that I did in this post . It has quickly become my easy updo.

Yesterday the best friend and I went on a mini road trip. Her sister had a softball clinic and we ended up hitting the mall. New guy met up with us; the softball clinic happened to be at the college he goes to (how lucky for moi)! Maybe at the end of the week you all will get to see some spring break snapshots, including new guy. He comes home on Friday, can't wait to see him again.
Anyways, here's what I picked up at the mall. Nothing too exciting. I also practiced major self control and didn't drag Lily and new guy into Sephora. Mainly because I knew the new Too Faced Summer Eye Palette wasn't in-store yet!

Okay, I'm off to go start my day. Promised the momma that I'd help her clean.
Tomorrow I have my neurology appointment to see the results of the MRI, crossing my fingers that everything is a-okay.
