NYE Makeup

Hello fashionistas!
Many of you are probably already planning what your NYE makeup will be (I say go full monty and wear a lot of sparkle and bright lipstick), but I wanted to share a look that I wore to my yearly Christmas Girl's PJ Party. I went with a golden/brown/grey eye with a pink pout. I think this is NYE appropriate, so hopefully this helps if you are in a makeup dilemma!

In case you want to know what I did to my hair I'll tell you! I just took a small straightener and did waves. I spritzed my whole head with hair spray and called it a day!
My PJs are from Kohl's, the Simply Vera Vera Wang line, so are my earrings!

Face:
Beneift Boi-ing concealer
Maybelline Pure Stay powder foundation
Nars Orgasm Blush
ELF Contouring and Blush duo (bronzer only to contour) on my face and my nose
Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer Powder on my cheeks (just the light side to highlight)

Lips
 Kat Von D Celebutard
Milani Berry Rich on top
Co Bigelow Spiced Vanilla Chai lipgloss on top

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion all over
Stila Kitten eyeshadow all over
UD Mushroom all over
Stila Kitten in the inner corner
UD Naked to buff out crease
UD Virgin to highlight
UD Mushroom as a liner
On my lower lashline I have UDPP, Stila Kitten all over and UD Mushroom on the last 2/3 of the lower lashline
Maybelline Falsies mascara (my favorite mascara E V E R)
UD 24/7 Liner in Whiskey on my inner lower lashline
I filled my brows in with UD's Naked

I just wanted to thank all of my readers for another lovely year. Hope 2013 brings you a lot of luck!
Hope this helps!

Loads of love!

Colors and Dots.

Hello fashionistas!
I hope your Christmas holiday was lovely, mine definitely was. I got to spend it with my family and my boyfriend (for a bit)! Maybe I'll do a post showing you the things 'Santa' and my family got me for Christmas because I always love reading those kind of posts.
Any-who, here's an ensemble that I wore a few days before Christmas. A big thank you to the boyfriend for snapping these pictures for me. We were heading out with my family to visit some of my mom's family that was in town.

Excuse my car keys.

Blazer: Marshalls Blouse: Belk Tank-top, pants, and flats: Kohl's Earrings and sunnies: Forever 21

I was in the mood for some bright colors and a dash of pattern. I was overjoyed a few months ago when I picked up this blazer on sale at Marshalls because it is a perfect teal and adds a pop of interest to any outfit. I paired my hot pink loafer-y flats to contrast with the teal. I wore my favorite polka dot top that I know you all have probably seen on here before.

I did a simple brown and grey eye with the eye products that I featured in this post
I cannot remember what I used on my lips, but I think it was just a clear gloss.
These were my new earrings that I picked up from Forever 21. My boyfriend just said that my hair has gotten so long after he snapped these pictures. I'm contemplating getting bangs, but who knows if I'll actually do it. #hairprobz What do you guys think, should I do it?

Yesterday I walked the Vilano bridge, a lengthy bridge with quite an incline, and today I can really feel it! I was going to do it again today, but I think I will be doing it tomorrow because I did not stretch well enough last time. After that the boyfriend and I spent our day watching American Horror Story: Asylum. We had finished the first season and downloaded the second one. I'm not going to lie, I was terrified. I thought I was going to break my boyfriend's hand I was clenching it so tightly! Have you guys watched that show? I recommend it if you like scary shows!

Tonight is our second annual girl's party at my house. My mom's friends and my friend's all come over in PJs and have dinner and open Christmas presents. It's quite a lot of fun! Normally my sister and her friends are here too, but she is out of town.

Hope you're all well!

Some Bits and Bobs! Merry Christmas Eve!

Hello fashionistas!
In my last post I mentioned that I picked up a few things while I was out Christmas shopping, so I decided that I would share them with you all.

I had downloaded an app on my iPhone called 'Gyft' and it gave me a free $5 Gap gift card, so I obviously had to go into Gap! This shirt was originally twenty something dollars, down to 18, then another 40% off, and then I had my five dollar card. It only cost me $6! I'm not sure if you guys know this, but back in 6th and 7th grade I was a biiiiiiig fan of stars.

I was perusing Sephora and I found one of their $5 eyeliners in a lovely shade called Iced Brown. It is perfect to put on my lower lashline for a hint of shimmer. The Fresh lip duo was my free birthday present, so I picked that up while I was there. They are nice and hydrating!

I was in Forever 21 picking up something to go with my sister's present and I found these 2 gems. I love the earrings because they are slightly art deco-ish and they are just nice baubles to accessorize with.
The purple necklace is very feminine and delicate. I cannot wait to wear it!

Here's my kitten, Java, watching me take pictures. He is very confused as to why I'm taking pictures of my earrings. "Mom, why must we snap pictures of the sparkley baubles? Take kitty pictures of me staring longingly at your new accessories." I also grabbed their $1 headband duo because I broke one of mine and my dog, Colby, snapped the other one.

I cannot believe that Christmas is tomorrow, insane! I have finished wrapping all of my presents and set them under the tree. My parents still put my sister's presents and my presents under the tree after we have all gone to bed. I remember when my sister and I were little we were terrified of Santa coming and would snuggle up in the same bed. We would also always sneak out and check under the tree at 3:00 AM because there is something so magical about the Christmas tree lights glinting off of the shiny wrapped presents.

Do you guys have any family traditions?
Tonight I think my family and I are going to go to the zoo because they have Christmas tree lights. Seriously what is better than zoo animals and twinkling lights? Nothing, that's right.

Have a Merry Christmas Eve and a Merry Christmas Day!
Loads of love!

Casual in Emerald and Black.

Hello fashionistas!
Sorry for being a bit MIA lately- life has been craaaaazaaay.
This week was midterm week at school and it was like a nonstop stress-fest. If all goes according to plan I should end up with all A's again. Crossing my fingers that the final grades (essays and projects) keep me safe! Sorry for neglecting the blog, I just had to focus school. Anyways, here's an outfit that I meant to post #lastweek. Yes, I am behind..

Shirt: The GAP Jacket: Jones New York Scarf: birthday present from New York and Company Jeans: Kohl's Shoes: Nine West Ring: birthday present.

I really wanted a casual look for this day because after school I was going to check in on my boyfriend- he had just had his wisdom teeth removed. Then after that I was going out for sushi with one of my friends.

I loved that my mom got me this scarf for my birthday because Pantone just named emerald has the 2013 color of the year! I love the subtle glam with the sequins. I paired my t-strap heels with cuffed jeans for a laid back look. I kept my hair and makeup very simple.

Today my sister and our good friend went Christmas shopping at the mall. I finished my mom's present, my sister's present, my boyfriend's presents and some presents for a few friends. I also *may* have purchased a few things that were on sale for myself! Will show you guys soon!

Tomorrow my family is going down to Orlando to visit some family from my mom's side. Should be really fun, especially because the boyfriend is tagging along. Hope you guys get all of your last minute holiday presents bought and enjoy the weekend!

Loads of love!

Kushyfoot Leopard Print Flats to Go and Slipper Socks Review

Hello fashionistas! Tonight I have some adorable Kushyfoot products to share with you all!
I was recently sent these and have been wanting to review them for you all. All opinions are 100% my own.

These are the Fall Leopard Print Flats to Go they are perfect to slip into after strutting around in killer high heels. The leopard is tres chic and very soft. The bottoms are comfortable to walk around in; they are not made of the strongest material, but they are sturdy enough to slip into for a few hours. I like that these add a nice pop of pattern to any outfit. It helps keep you looking fabulous even after you have to take off your original (painful!) shoes.

The Flats To Go come in sizes are 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10 with a suggested retail price of $9.99 per which. The ballet flats have been rescuing sore feet and acting as emergency footwear for a few years now.

I am normally anti socks, but I actually really love these slipper socks. They are not too thick and they are very soft. I also like the no slip grip. The colors are good for any girly-girl.

For those times indoors where full-out slippers feel too much, but a bare foot feels just too naked, Kushyfoot Slipper Socks (3626 in black/lavender) are the ideal answer. In a cotton-rich cotton/polyester/pvc/spandex blend, Kushyfoot Slipper Socks have a cute bow and and a strap and anti-skid bottoms. At a suggested retail of $4.49, they are super-affordable for everything from spa vacations to college dorms. Slipper Socks fit like a sock and come in a single size that fits most.

Have you guys tried any of the Kushyfoot products? I highly recommend them!

I'm off to go work on exam study guides (yes, exams start Tuesday.. joy)!
Loads of love.

Current Beauty Favorites.

Hello fashionistas!
Today I wanted to share some products that have been getting a lot of love and usage these past couple of weeks!

Left to right: Urban Decay mini Pocket Rocket in Naked, Hourglass lipstick in Nocturnal, ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain, Milani Face Powder in 01 Light, Urban Decay Mariposa palette, specifically shades Spotlight and Mushroom.

The Urban Decay mini Pocket Rocket has been getting a lot of wear lately because it is a lovely pink color, not too dark and not light. Also, it is minty, which I love.
My splurge of the month, Hourglass' lipstick in Nocturnal, is a great lipstick. Goes on like butter and wears for hours. I highly recommend it.
The flawless finish foundation is creamy, goes on nicely, good coverage, and does not oxidize weirdly. I really like and for the price, $6, it is definitely worth it! Next time you're in need of a foundation check it out.
I needed a new face powder a few months ago, so I purchased the Milani face powder. It is perfect, not too heavy, but enough coverage to mask any flaws.
I have gotten so much use out of this Mariposa palette, I truly love it. Lately I'm loving the golden beige color Spotlight and the vampy grey Mushroom. I especially love layering Mushroom over Spotlight.

Left to right: UD Pocket Rocket Naked gloss, Hourglass' lipstick in Nocturnal.
Top shadow is Mushroom over Spotlight, then Mushroom, then Spotlight.

Bath and Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar conditioner and shampoo, Cashmere Glow body lotion, and Evologie Stay Clear Cleanser

My mom brought home the Bath and Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar shampoo and conditioner for me and I love it so much. My hair smells delicious!

The Cashmere glow was a purchase I made on a whim the other week and I really love it! It smells lovely, but it is not too overpowering.

I love the Evologie cleanser, click here for my full review.

What are you guys loving right now?

I'm off to go to a birthday dinner for one of my best friends, Katie. December babies all the way!

Loads of love!

Mini Life Update

Hello fashionistas!
Sorry for not posting over the weekend. My birthday was on Saturday and I was busy having a good time with friends and family. I had to say goodbye to my best friend on Sunday because she had to fly back home. I miss her so much! On Sunday I spent the day around my house after driving my best friend to the airport. That afternoon I met up for a coffee with a friend. That evening I went out and played pool with my boyfriend.
Today was just another manic Monday. So many tests and quizzes that I had to makeup because I missed school on Friday. I have to go in tomorrow morning and makeup a Shakespeare quiz. My boyfriend, Toby, had his wisdom teeth taken out today, so I went over after school and took care of him. Soup, milkshakes, and pain medicine! Poor boy. Will be doing that again tomorrow afternoon!
I just wanted to give you guys a mini life update, I will post pictures from my birthday sometime this week!

Hope all is well!
Loads of love!

Spotted in Blue

Hello fashionistas!

I thought I would post an outfit of the day. Sorry these pictures are all inside my house, in our office. It was pouring outside and could not snap any pictures out there!

Top: Gap Blazer: New York and Company Pants: Kohl's Shoes: Belk Necklace: Forever 21

I wore a new tee shirt that I got from the Gap on Black Friday (this was my only purchase, it was not a successful shopping trip). I picked it because it does animal print in an unusual way. I paired it with my white blazer to make the blue really pop. I went with my favorite black pants and paired them with pointy black kitten heels. I really just wanted a simple and chic ensemble.

I wore my new fancy Hourglass lipstick in Nocturnal. I do not regret the ridiculous amount of money I paid for this lipstick because I truly love it! Have you guys ever paid a lot of money for a lipstick?

My best friend came into town yesterday! Today we are going to pick up my boyfriend from college and then just hang out at home. Tomorrow is my 17th birthday. We have nail appointments scheduled and then a little party with a few friends and some family at my house.

Hope you're all well!

PS: Aren't these pictures of my aunt's kitten adorable?!

This is when they were little babies.

This is one of the babies right now, they are the sweetest things. They also really enjoy pockets!

What I Want: Wednesday Wishlist

Hello fashionistas!
I thought I would do a little wishlist Wednesday for two reasons; 1.) it's really fun to see what other people want and 2.) my birthday is coming up (the 8th) and Christmas is too!
I've had a board on Pinterest called "I Want", so some of these are on there.

1.) The Fresh Florals Deluxe Fragrance Sampler for Her from Sephora.
Sephora Favorites - The Fresh Florals Deluxe Fragrance Sampler For Her
This is a great present because not only do you get to try out 5 perfumes, but you also get a voucher to redeem for a full size bottle of any of the perfumes! It's a great value.

2.) Large Pave Forget Me Knot Necklace.

I saw this online while I was perusing the web and I think it is so beautiful. It's a classic piece.

3.) Steve Madden Upper East Side Satchel

I'm in need of a new black carryall bag and I think this would be perfect! I would love to tote all my stuff around in this bag.

4.) Kate Spade New York Rigid Iphone 4 and 4S case.
kate spade new york rigid iPhone 4 & 4S case

I'm looking at different cases for my new Iphone that is on its way and you all know how much I adore polka dots, so this would be perfect!

5.) Tech Candy 'New York' Iphone 4 and 4S Silicone Case.

This is the other case option I am looking at. I love the girly cut outs!

6.) Victoria's Secret Boyfriend Sweatpants
Victoria's Secret PINK Boyfriend Pant

I love to lounge around my house in these. I would love another pair, I may end up just buying a pair for myself (;

7.) Blog Bling Kit

This is an odd gift to ask for, but I would love to have this! It has all kind of girly blog additions and I would love to have it for my site!

8.) Dark Places by Gillian Flynn

Dark Places

After reading Gone Girl and Sharp Objects I really want to read this book! Gillian Flynn is such a great suspenseful writer.

9.) Too Faced Shadow Bon Bons Set

This palette is absolutely gorgeous and I would love to have it in my collection!

10.) Bite Beauty Luminous Lip Library

Their lip products are very high quality and I would love to have this to try out a bunch of their shades! I also adore how they are in the shape of Bs. Too cute!

That's about all I can think of!
What are you guys lusting after? Are we wishing for the same things?

Hope you are all well! My best friend comes into town tomorrow, so excited!

Brights.

Hello fashionistas!
Sometimes during the fall/winter months I start to crave vibrant colors, so I decided to pull out some brighter colors for this ensemble. It was also mid 70s, so I felt like wearing wedges.

Blazer: Marshalls Top: Gap Jeans and shoes: Kohl's Necklace: Forever 21 Bracelet: Vintage

After picking up this bright blazer a few weeks ago I have wanted to pair it with so many different outfits.
For this outfit I thought I'd go with a white tee shirt and a bright coral statement necklace. A blazer plus a statement necklace is always a good, easy way to go for a chic outfit. I also paired a light wash pair of bootcut jeans for a more laid back look.

I wore my Wet n' Wild lipstick in Don't Blink Pink for a bright statement lip. I kept the rest of this makeup look very simple, just foundation, bronzer, blush, and mascara. Sometimes simple is the best way to go.

Tonight I have a US history test to study for and a few other assignments to do.
Oh so much fun.. I cannot wait for the weekend to be here- my birthday is on Saturday. The big 1-7!
My best friend just surprised me today by purchasing a ticket to fly down here to celebrate my birthday! She's coming in on Thursday. I am beyond excited!

Loads of love!

Sephora Splurges!

Hello fashionistas!
Today the family and I went and ran some errands/did some shopping. First we stopped off at AT&T to see about upgrading our phones because we've been up for an upgrade since April and my phone is on the verge of breaking. The hinges are super loose. Anyways, somehow we convinced my dad to get us Iphones, so my mom, sister, and I are now the proud owners of Iphones! #Finally! Well, we will be when they come in the mail. Thanks, Daddy, I'm so excited!

After that my mom and I went over to Sephora and I *may* have splurged on some fabulous lipsticks.
I had a spend $50 get $15 off coupon for being a Beauty Insider at Sephora, so I decided to go ahead an splurge on some products.

Left is Bite's Colour + shine to Go and on the right is Hourglass' Femme Rouge Velvet Creme lipstick in the shade 'Nocturnal'

The packaging is so luxurious!

It started off as a harmless "oh I'll just try this on because I have no lipstick on" and quickly turned into a love affair. I tried to talk myself out of spending the $30 on it, but I just couldn't. My mom even told me to just splurge on it. It is the creamiest lipstick I have ever had on my lips. It is a beautiful vampy purple-pink. A perfect color for the holiday season.

Here's the Bite trio. The top swatch is lipgloss in 'Sante'. The second one is a lipstick in 'Pepper' and then the last one is another lipstick in 'Fig'. Everything is in deluxe sample size and this was $15. I'm really glad I got this because I have heard good things about this brand.
