Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Hello fashionistas!
I wore this outfit to school yesterday.

Blouse: Forever 21 Tank-top: Kohl's Capris: Gloria Vanderbilt Neckalce: self-made Bracelets: assorted Shoes: Aerosoles Hair clip: Forever 21

I felt like it was the epitome of girly and preppy.
Floral + lace + khakis = a feminine look.
I was going to pair this with jeans, but I wanted to change it up a bit. I bought this shirt forever ago and hadn't worn it in a long, long time! I saw it in my closet and I went "oh yeah, I think I'll wear this."
I paired it with a pink tank-top so that you could see the pink peaking through the lace.

I went with a darker pink eye, very similar to the one I did here. The only difference was that I winged black eyeliner to make it edgier.

Today I took my final AICE test of the year and it went really well. I felt that my essays were pretty good and I feel confident that I passed AICE English Language! Yey! Today was the last full, regular day of school. Tomorrow I only have one exam, French, and it is at 10:45, so I don't have to be there until then. The mom and I are going to go to Panera and I'm going to do my studying then. On Monday I have my final two exams of the year, chemistry and math. Everyone else has to go until Wednesday. I am very happy to be almost done!

I'm off to go hang with the boyfriend. Happy almost Friday!

Loads of love!

Polyvore Creations

Hello fashionistas!

I hadn't been on Polyvore in ages and decided to go on tonight and got busy mixing up new ensembles. Polyvore is truly a website that I love because it just allows me to create whatever I dream up.

Geometric Girl

This first outfit I envisioned for a chic woman working in the city. I thought a geometric print mixed with the bold pinks worked well with the summer 2012 neon trend. If I was a working woman, I would definitely use a giant black carryall. I adore this Kate Spade one. I wish my entire closet was Kate Spade. I think I might order these hot pink flats for myself. I think they'd be a good color pop!

Colorfully Clashing

With this outfit I envisioned it for a tropical island getaway. I thought it'd be perfect for a late night on the beach dinner. The mixture of the red and pink is sassy, but contrasts nicely with the cobalt blue accents; cobalt also happens to be another big trend this season. I thought a shimmery eye, loads of mascara, and a touch of bronzer would compliment this look.

Prim and Proper

For this final outfit I pictured a southern girl heading off to brunch. I love the mint dress with the white polka dots, my favorite pattern. I also like the way the orange plays against the mint. I love the J.Crew pointed toe flats, I would love to own a pair! For makeup I pictured just a bit of peach gloss and neutral nails.

Have you guys been on Polyvore lately? Here's my profile. If you all have one, link me yours in the comment section!

Alright, I'm off to go get my things in order for tomorrow.
Have a fabulous day!

Weekend Wrap Up

Hello fashionistas!
The title of this post is a bit of a fib seen as tomorrow is Memorial Day, so it will technically still be the weekend! I actually only snapped pictures today, I was too busy living up my Saturday to stop and take pictures! On Saturday the boyfriend came over and we went to the pool for a few hours and then that night I went and babysat. I had so much! Today, my mom, sister, and I went down to Daytona to watch my dad race at Daytona Speedway. Here are just a few funny snaps from our day. The weather was gross because we have a tropical storm going on, so it was raining off and on all day (and it is pouring now).

The sister and I huddled up in the pits. It started pouring out of nowhere!

Mom also snuggled up in a jacket to block out the rain being swept in from the wind!
I thought she looked so adorable in the hood, too precious!

I slipped my jacket on the wrong way so I could cover up my bag canvas bag. Didn't want the new Hilfiger to get soaked!

After driving up the scenic route, we stopped for a late lunch and then ice cream. My sister and I love this one little beach ice cream place called Sally's. It's about 45 minutes from our house, so whenever we go we love it! As you can tell our ice cream started melting really quickly.

While eating our ice cream I zoomed in on my phone and snapped a picture of the crazy tropical storms waves crashing on the beach.

I've had such a great weekend with my family and friends. Can't wait to sleep in tomorrow! I have some homework to wrap up tomorrow and I think the boyfriend and I are getting together. Happy almost Memorial Day.

What did you all do over the weekend? Was it lazy or super busy?

Parisian Inspired Outfit and Makeup of the Day

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share my Parisian inspired outfit and makeup of the day with you all.

Top and shoes: Belk Jeans: JCP Tank-top: Forever 21 Earrings: Claire's (bought eons ago) Watch: Avenue

As I did my makeup this morning I felt very Parisian, so I decided to go for a red lip and winged black eye.
To tie in my Parisian makeup with my outfit I wore my favorite black and white polka dot top and pointed toe kitten heels. Polka dots + sheerness = best purchase of my life. Just sayin'.
Accessorized with these old dangling grommet-y earrings from Claire's for a bit of toughness!
Props to Dad for photos this morning!

I'm so obsessed with this Korres Liquid Lipstick that I bought from Sephora a few weeks ago.
The shade is called Raspberry. It goes on like a lipgloss and dries to a VERY long last lipstick.
I highly suggest you all look into Korres' Liquid Lipstick line. I definitely want to check out their other shades.

Here's a regular swatch of it.

This was all I did for eye makeup. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion and Urban Decay Blackout shadow to do a slight winged line look. Very simple.

Now that I'm set for Parisian makeup, can I please go to Paris? Pretty please?...

I'm off to go do a friend's hair and makeup for a dance. Then the boyfriend and I are getting together.
Have a glorious weekend!

Coral Cardigan

Hello fashionistas!
I feel like it has been ages since I've done an outfit of the day. Probably because it has been ages!
I actually wore this ensemble to school today.

Cardigan: JCP Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Tank-top: Kohl's Shoes: Ross Earrings: Forever 21 Bracelet: Vintage

I actually borrowed this coral cardigan from my mom this morning. I really love how it's super simple, but it has a little extra interest with the circle applique next to the buttons. Just a fun detail! To keep it not too girly I added my chunky black wedges. I made sure to tie in the black throughout the entire look (bracelet, tank-top, shoes, earrings) because it toughened up the good girl cardigan!

Earring detail shot. In this picture the cardigan appears to be more orange than coral, but it really is a deep coral in real life! Notice the glow on my cheeks? It's the fabulous Nars Orgasm Illuminator, I love this stuff.
Definitely worth it.  Side note, how is my hair this long? I feel it has grown so quickly and I never realize it until I upload pictures on here!

I've been sick for the past couple of days and I'm so tired of it. I had to go to school today because I had my final pre-AICE history paper, so relieved to be done with that. In case you were wondering, it went pretty well! Next week I have my final AICE english paper (the one that counts for college credit).

Alright, off to snuggle up in some jammies and drink some tea. I seriously hope that I start feeling better soon.

Loads of love!

Beauty and Books Haul.

Hello fashionistas!
Over the weekend I went on a little Sephora trip. I decided to return the Too Faced Summer Eye palette because the shadows ended up being slightly chalky and when I blended the dark colors they became muddy. I was so bummed because I had really wanted it and ended up only liking 3 shades.
I ended up buying Nars' Orgasm Illuminator and Sephora Hot Hues All Over in Bronzed Glow.

The Sephora bronzer is gargantuan. It's almost as big as my face! It was originally twenty something dollars and I got it for $7. Steal!

Sorry this isn't such a vibrant swatch, my camera refused to pick up the shimmering greatness that the Sephora bronzer holds!

Nars Orgasm Illuminator. Heaven in a bottle. It gives me an instant summertime glow. I love it and definitely recommend it to EVERYONE.

The best friend, mom, and I also stepped into Barnes and Nobles and I picked up Lisa Scottoline's Think Twice  book. I'm so hooked. I was hooked within the first 10 pages and I haven't been able to put it down!
Here's the summary: Bennie Rosato looks exactly like her identical twin, Alice Connolly, but the darkness in Alice’s soul makes them two very different women. Or at least that’s what Bennie believes, until she finds herself buried alive at the hands of her twin.
Meanwhile, Alice takes over Bennie’s life, impersonating her at work and even seducing her boyfriend in order to escape the deadly mess she has made of her own life. But Alice underestimates Bennie and the evil she has unleashed in her twin’s psyche, as well as Bennie’s determination to stay alive long enough to exact revenge.
Bennie must face the twisted truth that she is more like her sister Alice than she could have ever imagined, and by the novel’s shocking conclusion, Bennie finds herself engaged in a war she cannot win—with herself.

You guys seriously need to check out this book!

I spent the afternoon with the boyfriend and best friend. The boyfriend sweetly brought me over a blizzard from Dairy Queen  because he knew I had a sore throat. So nice!

Okay, I'm off to go eat cupcakes with the best friend.
Loads of love!

Beloved Bronzes and Glistening Golds

Hello fashionistas!
I did a quick makeup look before I went out to lunch/shopping/errands with the momma and best friend.
Decided to snap some pictures to share with you all.
I went for a slightly sultry bronze and gold look. My favorite kind of look!

Here are all the products I used on my eyes:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay Naked 2 YDK shadow all over
Stila Kitten shadow lightly dusted all over YDK
Urban Decay Naked 1 Naked to buff out my crease
Urban Decay Naked 2 Bootycall as my highlight
Milani black eye pencil to line my upper lashes
NYX Yogurt as a base on my lower lash line
Urban Decay YDK all over NYX's Yogurt
Covergirl Lashblast mascara on upper and lower lashes
Urban Decay Naked to fill in my brows

Urban Decay Naked is such a great crease color and it's the perfect brow color match for me!
Cannot express my love for this shadow enough.

On my face I used:

Benefit Boi-ing concealer
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation in Light Ivory
Physician's Formula translucent powder to set everything
ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder to contour my face
Stila Camilla bronzing cream blush on my cheeks
Nars Orgasm blush
Nars Orgasm Illuminator on top of the blush

On my lips I used:

Some random berry toned Sephora lipgloss that has no name because it was a mini in a set, sorry guys!
To tone down the berry color I used Revlon's Lilac Pastel lipgloss over it. I'm sure any berry lipstick/gloss would work well to make this color!

I'm off to go have a girl's night in with my best friend. We bought special desserts at the Fresh Market, doing pedicures, facials, and  watching movies. Should be a blast!

Have a fantastic weekend!
