Cobalt and Coral.

Hello fashionistas!
I have a quick outfit of the day to share with you all before I start working on some homework.

Sweater: Target Capris and tank-top: Kohl's Gladiators and necklace: Forever 21

I have been trying to incorporate this coral colored necklace for quite awhile now, but it never looked quite right. I finally tried it on with this cardigan that I swiped from my sister and it meshed perfectly! I really wanted to color-block with the necklace and bright cobalt blue. I needed a break from heels, so I wore some blue gladiators.

I kept my makeup and hair super simple. I'm really obsessed with this Hard Candy Fox in a Box blush in Hot Flash because it is the perfect peach color. Seriously, go check it out, it's the best, and very inexpensive. I layered Too Faced 'Who's Your Poppy?' over Hot Flash.

My pre-calculus test went really well, I got an A on it. I took my physics test today and it went pretty well.
Tomorrow I don't have any tests/quizzes tomorrow. My boyfriend is coming in town for the 3 day (4 if you count Friday) weekend! I'm so excited, I've missed him.
What do you guys have planned for this weekend?

Striped Color Blocking

Hello fashionistas!
I'm back with another outfit of the day to share with you all. I actually wore this to school today.

Dress: Kohl's Blazer: Target Shoes: Mootsie Tootsies Necklace: Lia Sophia Earrings: F21

I woke up and I was in the mood for a dress, so I slipped on my jersey color-blocked striped dress from Kohl's. I added this boyfriend-esque blazer that I bought at Target for some structure. I felt like my ensemble need some shine, so I added a pop of metallic in with my shoes. I stole my mom's multicolored stone necklace because I wanted something with a few colors in it, but not too big.

I've become laaaaazy with my makeup. I literally only put on concealer, powder, blush/bronzer, mascara, and lipgloss. The worst part is that I have so much makeup that I feel like I've been neglecting! I need to get back into the eyeshadow swing of things. I've been wearing bright lips more than bold eyes lately. Do you guys go through less makeup phases?

Tomorrow I have a pre-calculus test and I am going in early to get a little bit of help.
I have a physics and a history test on Thursday. Oh school.
What have you guys been up to?

Weekend Wrap-Up.

Hello fashionistas!
Throughout this weekend I've snapped a few pictures and I wanted to share them with you all.

I did some shopping at Kohl's and bought 2 new pairs of shoes. I found these Candie's cheetah loafers on sale for only $10. They were originally $50, so I was stoked. Loafers are a huge trend for fall/winter and I loved that they were in a cheetah print for a pop of pattern.

I found these Simply Vera Vera Wang studded gladiator sandals. These were originally $60, but I got them on sale for a mere $12. Such a steal.

This weekend my mom took me to visit my boyfriend at college while she went to visit family.
I had the best time with him and I just wanted to share a a few of the pics we took together. I told him that when I was younger that I had an obsession with taking pictures in front of trees with branches that were split and I put my head in between them. After that story he insisted that we take a picture in front of a tree.

Here's another picture of us.
We went out to lunch and watched a movie. Then we walked around campus for a little while and then went and met up with my mom again. After that we all went out for dinner at Tijuana Flats. Right before we left we stopped by this place on campus called Midnight Cookies. You go in and pick what kind of cookies you want (they have really fun flavors) and then they bake them fresh to order. They were absolutely incredible.
After that we headed home, which was sad! We'll see each other in about a week.

This morning I woke up and worked out, did some laundry, and Skyped with my best friend.
What have you all been up to this weekend?

Neutrals.

Hello fashionistas!
I post an outfit that I threw together for school this week.

Shirt: JCP Capris and flats: Kohl's click here for a direct link to the Kohl's flats page  Tank-top: Aeropostale Jacket: Jones New York Bracelet : Vintage (wooden) Forever 21 (silver) Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

I wanted to wear my grey sequin tee that I bought over the summer because it's extremely loose and comfortable. Sometimes I feel like it's too loose, so I thought that this jacket really gave this look more of a shape. I wore my favorite capris from Dockers to keep the look cooler, didn't want to be too hot! I paired the whole look with my new Simply Vera Vera Wang flats from Kohl's. I found these on sale for $12! Such a steal. I love how they go with all neutrals, but also can be paired with vibrant hues. I also liked that they added a little bit of pattern to my outfit.

I kept my hair natural, which is straight as a pin. For my makeup I put Urban Decay's Snakebite on my top lash-line and I used a lot of mascara for plush lashes. I mixed a few lipglosses from a Sephora set to come up with a berry-pink lip. Overall I was just aiming for light, natural makeup.

I'm so happy it's Friday, I feel like this week has been never ending! Tomorrow I'm going to go visit my boyfriend at his college, really excited to see him again!
What do you all have planned for the weekend? Whatever it is, I hope you all have a blast!

Good Girl Glam and Giveaway Winner.

Hello fashionistas!
First of all, I wanted to tell you that my Forever 21 gift card giveaway winner is Ashley!
Ashley, I sent you an email!

I  also wanted to share what I wore on my second day of school with you all.

Top: JCP Tank-top: Kohl's Pants: Target Shoes: DSW Necklace: Tiffany & Co. Earrings: Bealls Bracelet: Vintage

I went with my cobalt blue pants for a bright pop of color. I paired it with the lace-y blouse that I found on major sale at JCP. I love the good girl vibe that this shirt has. Everything about it is so dainty, from the bow, to the lace, to the little darts on the top. I wanted to wear my new comfortable black heels because I liked the way the black and cream looked together. I matched my earrings to the cobalt color of the my pants and I wore my usual silver Tiffany's necklace. I paired this whole look with my vintage wooden bracelet.

I styled my hair in a messy bun with my bangs (which can hardly be called bangs.. they're oh so long) pinned to the side. I wanted to go with a matte eye look, so I did the same eye makeup that I did in this post.

Today was the third day of school and I had my schedule completely changed. I have all the same classes, just at different times. I luckily kept my pottery double period and psychology class in the same period. Tomorrow will be just like the first day all over again!

Loads of love!

First Day of Junior Year Outfit.

Hello fashionistas!
Today was the start of my junior year and I wanted to share what I wore with you all.
I went for a very simple look because I didn't want to look like I was trying too hard.

Dress and tank-top: Kohl's Earrings and Bracelet: Forever 21 Necklace: Tiffany & Co. Shoes: Kenneth Cole Reaction from DSW

I found this dress on mega sale at Kohl's a few weeks ago and I had to have it. I loved the bright pink color and the shoulder detail. I wore low black heels because I wanted a heel, but I wanted to be comfortable walking around. I'm not really one to forgo fashion for comfort, but when I can get 2 in one I definitely love it. I went with my typical simple silver accessories.

For my face makeup I wore just concealer, powder, blush, and bronzer (the usual)! On my eyes I wore a lot of Too Faced Lashgasm mascara, Urban Decay Darkhorse eyeshadow as eye liner, and I used Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Whiskey to tight-line my upper lash line. On my lips I wore ELF lipgloss in Coral just for a little bit of color and shine.

My day went well, I'm going to be super busy with classes this year. The majority of my classes are college level.

If any of you started today I hope it went well!

Ins and Outs #14.

Hello fashionistas!
I'm sorry for literally abandoning the blog lately... It was my last week of summer. I've had a lot going on; my best friend visited for 5 days and went back to her new home, 4 states away. I sent my boyfriend off to college yesterday and I've been juggling a mess of emotions with all of the things going on in my life.
Anyways, I wanted to do a quick ins and outs post to share with you all, I haven't done one in almost 2 months, so it's about time!

INS

1.) No matter where my best friend is she's always going to be in my heart and just a phone call/Skype call away. Here's a cute snapshot of us at the beach (well we actually had gone up to the beach shack restaurant).

Same goes for the boyfriend, he might be 90 minutes away, but we have Skype, texting, talking. It's all going to be fine. Here's a few pictures of us taking a break from packing up his stuff.

If you two are reading this, I already miss both of you like crazy!

2.) I decided that I'm going to go full steam ahead with all my effort and put it into school. Grades are what really matter this year (and every year). Last year I had almost all A's and I want to strive for the same thing this year.

3.) I'm still in absolute love with polka dots. I bought 2 dresses with polka dot patterns this year for school. This dress and another black and white one that I have yet to take a picture of for the blog.  Which reminds me, I'll do a back to school haul probably Monday or Tuesday.

4.) I'm not really sure why, but I'm completely obsessed with this song by Jon McLaughlin featuring Sara Bareilles called Summer Is Over.
Seriously, listen to it. It kind of fits my melancholy mood that I'm in right now.

OUTS

1.) I'm not going to lie, I am really tired of the insane heat that has been going on in Florida. I wish we had an actual 'fall' season instead of brief cool days in September/October.

2.) I'm tired of being sad about summer being over and the goodbyes that had to be said. This is a new chapter of my life. I'm going to suck it up and enjoy it.

That's about all I have to say for now. I can't believe that I start my junior year tomorrow (too bad it isn't senior year)! When do you all start school?

Loads of love!

Back To School Outfit Inspiration...

Hello fashionistas!
I recently have received a few emails from readers asking me what they should wear for the first day back to school. I thought it would be a good idea to do a few looks on Polyvore that I thought would be first day chic and share it with you all.

Back to School Chicness.

I thought the cute color-blocking with the peter pan color made this top a back to school must have.

Shirt-dress Simplicity

This shirt-dress is simple and stylish. You can dress it down with flats or dress it up with wedges. It'd be comfortable and classy for a first day ensemble.

School Day Style

A fun tank-dress paired with a cropped jean jacket would be a cute back to school option. Paired with a pink lip, bronzed cheeks, and loads of mascara would be pretty and simple.
Hallway Walking

The final ensemble I put together would be a classic and stylish look. I love blazers and thought that this top would be adorable with a blazer. The silver snakeskin flats would be a great pop of pattern.

Have you all thought about your back to school outfits? Any ideas?
I think I'm going to go with a dress, but I'm not sure yet.

Loads of love!
