Ins and Outs #15

Hello fashionistas!
I'm sorry for being a little missing in action these past couple of days. School has been super busy and the boyfriend came home over the weekend.
I realized that I had not done an ins and outs post in awhile, so I decided that I would do another one.

INS

1.) I have recently fallen in love with making my hair in waves with a mini straightener, teasing it, and then putting it up. The waves add a little bit of texture to the hair do and it is more interesting than just a basic ponytail.

2.) Has anyone else been watching the Real Housewives of Miami? That show has been heating up! If you guys don't already know, I really love Bravo reality shows. #addicted.

3.) In other show news, Revenge has also been really good. I love love love that show!

4.) I'm loving the color burgundy. I just bought a corduroy Calvin Klein blazer in burgundy. Can't wait to post an outfit of the day with you all!

5.) I have been listening to Say You're Sorry by Sara Bareilles on repeat for days! It's just a good song and her voice is beautiful.

OUTS

1.) Dear Florida, I am ready for cool weather please get rid of the heat. I have a plethora of sweaters that I'm ready to wear!

2.) I am the absolute worst packer. I feel like I always try to consolidate the amount I pack, but I never really can. I am packing tonight because I am going up to visit my best friend (who moved 4 states away) tomorrow! That's not the out, the out is the fact that I'm a horrible packer.

Alright, I'm off to continue packing and do some homework.

Will post soon!
Love you guys!

Autumn Coziness.

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share an outfit of the day with you all.
I wore this to school today, I was in the mood for an autumn outfit even though it's 80 degrees here.

Top: Loft Sweater: JCP Jeans: Kohl's Shoes: Belk Bracelets: vintage (wooden), forever 21 (silver)
Earrings and headband: Claire's

I've been dying to wear this burgundy sweater, but it has been really warm here. I decided to wear it anyways because I'll suffer for the sake of a cute ensemble! I paired it with  my neutral leopard print top from the Loft for a pop of pattern. I also cuffed these jeans because I thought that they looked a little boyfriend-esque when cuffed. I think I might try to distress the bottom part of the pant and make a few tiny rips. I added pointed black heels for a touch of class for some reason I associate boyfriend jeans plus pointed heels with Sarah Jessica Parker (love her)!

I slipped a black headband in my hair to keep my bangs off of my face. The lipstick I had on was actually more red toned than it is showing up in the pictures. I kept my eyes simple with just mascara.

My boyfriend is home for the weekend and I could not be happier!
What do you all have going on?

FRAAS Fairisle Infinity Review

Hello fashionistas!
I've been wanting to review the FRAAS Infinity Scarf for you all. I was sent this to test run and I absolutely love it.

First of all I want to share a little about the company and the product.

The Fairisle Infinity, for example-- which is comprised of acrylic, nylon and a bit of wool. It is soft and extremely lightweight which makes it a great item for transitioning from season to season. It is also ideal for travel and almost any location and climate. It loops easily and requires no tying which is one of the genius things about an infinity scarf. Not only will it dress up and function with outerwear, it will look great with a sweater, dress or blouse, and as an accent accessory. Colors include navy/turquoise, camel/ivory, rose/petal, and black/grey. This particular item retails in most stores for abut $40.

“Our goal at FRAAS is to give consumers great choices of unique, exciting products at affordable price points,” says Aimee Zucchetti, the company's’ Brand and Sales Manager. “This new style—which is part of a far larger collection that includes an extremely comprehensive choice of scarves and wraps in many materials, sizes and shapes— allows consumers to renew their wardrobes and accessorize
like fashionistas without spending a fortune!”
“Whenever a woman wants to add a finishing touch to her outfit and add zest to her entire look—she can reach for one of our FRAAS styles and be 100% confident that it will produce the right effect. It is amazing what a difference a scarf can make,” says Ken Krieger, the VP of Sales for the innovative international manufacturer of woven and knit scarves, stoles, ruanas, wraps, capes and related accessories.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About FRAAS: Scarf producer V. Fraas (corporate owner of the FRAAS brand) celebrates more than 130 years in business. Ever since its foundation in 1880 by Valentin Fraas, the world leader for mufflers and shawls has thrived and advanced under the control of his descendants—a remarkable feat in this transitory world. But V. Fraas has more to celebrate than mere longevity and persistence:it is a forward looking company that continues to expand at a rapid pace, and it is constantly implementing new ideas and concepts. From its bases in New York, Paris, London, Wüstenselbitz, Toronto and Shanghai, V. Fraas’ design teams travel to major shows and forecasting seminars throughout the globe to identify new trends and develop products that are perfectly attuned to fashion and customer demand. The 130-year old company’s research team, meanwhile, works unceasingly to develop and discover new yarns, fabric and methods of manufacturing products that are of truly outstanding quality. Truly internationally oriented, the company boasts sales subsidiaries and satellite offices in New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Berlin, Denmark, Italy, India, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. Products are distributed worldwide via department and specialty stores as well as online retailers.

I think that this scarf adds a touch of chicness to any ensemble. I love the navy/turquoise color. I chose to pair mine with a simple cardigan, tee shirt, jeans, and loafers. I thought that the scarf added a touch of autumn to the outfit. The scarf is incredibly soft. It is also so long that you can loop it around three times! I only looped mine twice because I wanted a slouchier look. I can't wait to wear this with a blazer. I think that it is a versatile sweater that will be great for the cooler months.

This product also comes in a few other colors,  navy/turquoise, camel/ivory, rose/petal, and black/grey.
Any of these scarves would be a great addition to your wardrobe, plus it will keep you nice and warm!

You can find FRAAS scarves at specialty stores throughout the country and you can order these styles directly from the company by calling 212-575-0191.
Select styles are available at fraas.com and amazon.com
Have you tried any of FRAAS' amazing products?

Pinked Up.

Hello fashionistas!
Sorry for disappearing (again).. I've just been tremendously overwhelmed with school and life, so sometimes I just don't have time to post. I have been feeling majorly guilty about it.. Especially when my best friend who moved away this year texted me yesterday telling me that I need to update!
I thought I'd share an outfit of the day with you all that I wore last week.

Top: Gap Blazer: JCP Pants, flats, and necklace: Kohl's
I realized that I had not worn this pink tribal-esque print tee that I bought at the Gap to school, so I decided to pair it with my favorite black capris. The weather was a bit chilly that morning, so added my favorite jean blazer to the look. I went with simple coral-pink flats to tie in the whole ensemble. I also added this big knotted statement necklace that I swiped from my mom.
I paired the whole look with a sassy pink lipstick by Revlon, it's the Colorburst line in Fuschia. The rest of my makeup was very simple.

I cannot believe that the weekend is already over. I just wish I could sleep in again!
Over the weekend I reorganized my closet and had a sleepover with my good friend, Katie. I also ran around with my mom on Sunday. Just a nice relaxing weekend.

Also, I would like to announce that the winner of my giveaway is Daisy! Congrats!

Have a great week!

Green with Envy.

 Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share an outfit that I wore to school last week.
I thought I would squeeze in a few more dress outfits before it gets chilly in Florida..
Haha, just kidding it probably will not starting cooling down until December. I'll probably get to wear dresses sans tights quite a lot! By the way, I'm not actually green with envy over anything! ( ;

My legs look so pale.. Not sure why because I went to the beach last Saturday and had a major sunburn on my legs because I forgot to put SPF on them. I think it was just the flash from my camera.

Dress and shoes: Target Earrings: Forever 21 Bracelet: local store

I swiped this dress from my mom's closet because I absolutely love the kelly green color. I think it's my favorite shade of green. It is a very flattering shade on a variety of skintones. I also love that it is a darker floral print, which makes it appropriate for the month of October. I paired it with these heels that I got from Target last year. I suffered a wardrobe malfunction when I wore them with this ensemble, my heel broke! I was so lucky that I didn't twist my ankle. That would have been really bad

For my eye makeup I did a subtle purple smokey eye. I paired it with the Korres Wild Berry lip butter that I won in a giveaway (totally in love with this product)! Thanks Irene

I made subtle waves throughout my hair and then I teased my roots. After all of that I twisted it up in a big clip and let little pieces fall out. I paired the up-do with some dangling earrings.

I'm bummed that the weekend is over and the week is only just beginning! I spent Saturday running errands with my dad and babysitting that night. On Sunday I went and visited my boyfriend at his college. I wish the weekends never had to end, but I guess they would lose their charm if they were all the time.

Hope you all have a great week!

Evologie Stay Clear Skincare Line Review and Giveaway!

Hello fashionistas!
Today I have a skincare review about a line called Evologie to share with you all.
I want to tell you all that I was provided this by Beauty Stat.com to review, but it does not affect my opinion at all. I typically do not suffer from acne, I normally have a few spots pop up about 1-2 weeks prior to my period.

Anyways, I wanted to share a little bit about the company with you all.

Because we  know that flawed skin can seriously undermine your confidence and affect daily life, EVOLOGIE products are doctor developed and clinically proven by a team of experts committed to the belief that improving the health of your skin improves the quality of your life.

We incorporate medical research, scientific innovation, high levels of clinical testing and a compassionate understanding in our skincare products.

Witness fast improvement of your skin's clarity, hydration, tone, and texture. And with continued use, experience your clearest, smoothest, healthiest skin ever!

First of all, I absolutely love the packaging. The boxes have a clean styling to them with calming colors.
I also love the product's design. I really like when products have pumps instead of having to squeeze the bottles, it makes them very user friendly. I also really enjoy the chic frosted bottles.

Evologie Stay Clear Cleanser, Evologie Stay Clear Cream, and Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum.

The first product I want to talk about is the Evologie Stay Clear Cleanser.

EVOLOGIE Stay Clear Cleanser is an advanced, non-drying formulation containing natural cleansing agenst, antibacterials, and keratolytics to unclog pores, remove oil, bacteria, and debris while maintaining your skin's natural pH balance. Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, neutralizes environmental free-radicals that damage skin. Chamomile and honey extracts will leave your skin feeling refreshed and moisturized.

Benefits:
Patent-pending YS3 Complex
Clinically Proven Results
Natural Ingredients
Ideal for Teens, Men, and Women
Good for All Skin Types
Rapidly Clears Pimples
Helps prevent breakouts
Helps correct hyperpigmentation
Hypoallergenic
Fragrance-free
Oil free
Alcohol free
Non-drying

I found that the cleanser left my skin feeling very clean and very refreshed. I felt like it really removed all the makeup and grime from my pores. I also quite enjoyed the chamomile and honey scent that the cleanser had, it smelled very calming. I did not feel like the cleanser stripped my face of it's natural oils at all.

The next product I used was the Evologie Stay Clear Cream.
Here's a bit about that product.

EVOLOGIE STAY CLEAR CREAM works by intensifying your skin's healing power. It's YS3 COMPLEX delivery system combines natural ingredients with an innovative trans-epidermal absorption enhancer to rapidly penetrate deep below the skin's surface to where it is needed most. Moisturizers, antioxidants and collagen boosters keep skin carefully protected and balanced.

I felt that the cream (which is a moisturizer) didn't really completely sink into my face. I liked it, but I did find myself using a few more pumps of this than I thought I would have to really feel hydrated.
I did like the scent of this, which I think is really important when using a moisturizer because it will be staying on your face!

The final product I used was the Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum.
Here's what the company says about the product.

INTENSIVE BLEMISH SERUM is a potent treatment that rapidly resolves blemishes and pimples. STAY CLEAR CREAM keeps skin clear, moisturized, and helps reduce breakouts, post-blemish scarring, and skin discoloration. Together, the SERUM and CREAM will make your skin visibly clearer, feel smoother and hydrated without irritation, redness or dryness.

I thoroughly enjoyed this product!  I found that it kept my skin remarkably breakout free. It really reduced the redness of the stubborn spots and helped clear up potential spots before they became full blown spots.

Overall, I really enjoyed this skincare line. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with the occasional spots or full blown breakouts.

I have a travel size of the Intensive Blemish Serum and Stay Clear Cream to giveaway to one lucky reader.
This giveaway will end October 14th, 2012.

If you want healthier skin, and a happier life, then I think you all should check out the Evologie skincare line!

Falling into Dots.

Hello fashionistas!
I have an outfit of the day to share with you all.
I had gotten a mere 4 hours of sleep last night, so I decided that if I dressed up it would make me feel a little bit better. Not really sure why I only got 4 hours of sleep, I woke up in the middle of the night and tossed and turned for hours. I abhor when that happens.

Dress and necklace: Forever 21 Jacket: Kohl's Shoes: DSW

I bought this dress when I went back to school shopping and I had yet to wear it, so I decided that today would be the day. I absolutely adore polka dots and I am very glad that they will stay on trend for fall/winter. I thought I would add this rusty colored blazer to add a bit of autumn to the look (even though it is still in the 80's here). I wanted a big statement necklace, so I put on this gunmetal seed bead necklace for some pizzazz.  I like the length of this dress, but it is a little bit too big on me. Might try a skinny belt next wear!

I did a green/bronze eye for some shimmer. I will be doing a makeup post on it soon!

Today was my six month anniversary with the boyfriend, I can't believe a half of a year has flown by. So insane. I hope we continue to grow together!

Post school I went and had a pedicure because my feet were in desperate need of one.
It was really relaxing, I'm glad my mom and I went.
What have you guys been up to?

September Favorites

Hello fashionistas!
I haven't done a beauty related post in awhile, so I thought I'd share the products that I've been loving for the past month. I guess one could call this a September favorites post..

I've been trying to use the makeup that I have because I have way way way too much of it..

Left to right: Devoted lip liner, Snakebite, Suspect, Satin Taupe.

I started using my Naked 2 palette again. I'm completely in love with Suspect all over the lid with Snakebite in the crease. You can amp the drama up by adding a darker liner or just leaving it liner-less for a simple daytime look.

I also started using MAC's Satin Taupe as a liner on my bottom lashline. I can't wait to do a smokey eye with it for fall/winter. Satin Taupe plus a berry lip will look so pretty! I'm on the hunt for a berry lipstick, any suggestions?

I've been loving is Stila's long wear lip liner in Devoted. It creates a great darker 'my lips but better' color. I also love adding a clear gloss on top of it for a pretty shine.

I had to buy another eyelash curler and I went with ELF's curler for a dollar. It was a great buy and curls my lashes to perfection!

The final product I've been using a lot is Maybelline's Falsies mascara. I had used this a lot when it first came out a few years ago, then I switched to Lashblast by Covergirl. I repurchased Falsies and I've fallen in love with it all over again. Seriously, if you have not tried this mascara before then you really need to.

On a non beauty favorite note, I'm loving 90210 (the newer one)! I've been watching it on Netflix and I really like it.
What have you guys been loving lately?
