I recently discovered a genius little beauty tip. Johnson's Baby Oil for shaving.
Just rub a bit on your legs and shave, shave away. This left my legs feeling very smooth and silky. Seriously, try it out! I read that this supposedly helps make your razor last longer; I'm not sure if that is true!
That's all I have now! Will probably post an outfit of the day tomorrow or set it up to go up on Friday.
I'm having a little 3 day mini vacation, so I will see you guys soon.
I'm not even going to comment on my lack of blogging activity..
Sorry.
Yesterday I went shopping with some family and friends and picked up some bright buys. Not bright as in "woah what a genius purchase", but bright as in "WHAM BAM COLOR."
I had a gift card from Forever 21 that I received back in December for my birthday, so I decided that it was time to spend it. I tried on a few things, but once this dress was on I knew I had to take it home with me!
I had not tried the hi-lo trend, but I'm glad I did! This dress hits at a great spot in the front and in the back. Not too short and not too long. I also love the bright purple with gold accents.
I ventured into JCP and came across this bright neon-ish yellow button up Worthington top. I decided to try it on and I surprisingly liked it! I'm not normally a fan of yellow (much less neon yellow), but it really popped against my skin. It was only a mere $10, so I knew it had to come home with me.
I plan on pairing this with jeans (or black pants), heels, and a bright pink lip.
Have you guys made any new clothing purchases?
I think I'm going to wear the dress to a concert I'm going to next Friday.
Time seems to have flown by again, I seriously do not know how it has been a week since I last posted.
School has been crazy busy and I have just had a ton going on.
Here's a catch up and a few great links I've discovered and wanted to share with you all.
*image take from Alexa's sight.
The lovely Alexa over at lexbake came up with these delicious mini cannoli cups and I decided I had to make them. I just whipped them up and they were incredibly easy. To make her tasty cannoli cups wander over to her website!
This gif manages to crack me up every time I look at it. Check it out.
A few weeks ago I started doing yoga and I have quickly fallen in love with the tranquility that the exercise brings me. Not only is it an amazing work out, but it leaves me feeling calm and less stressed.
I have been oh so busy, but I felt like I really should put something up!
I tossed this together for school.
Top: NY & Co. Tank-top and jeans: Kohl's Jacket: Jones New York Shoes: Nine West Necklace Forever 21 Lipstick MAC Red
I put on this white top with a cobalt blue tanktop underneath for a pop of color. I decided to go with the American patriotism by adding my MAC Red lipstick. I felt very accomplished when someone asked me if that was my intention in first period! I accessorized with a black and gold chain necklace that I doubled for a bit of edge. I tied in the whole look with a black jacket and black shoes. Very simple.
Last night I went out to a birthday dinner party with some of my friends. After that my friend came over and we had a sleepover. We woke up early to hit an early yoga class (yoga is my new love)! I always leave feeling so relaxed and free of any tension in my muscles. I'm going to another class tomorrow morning; the weekend classes are the best because they are 90 minutes.
I'm about to head out for dinner with some friends. Have a fabulous weekend!
I'm not really in an outfit posting mood today, so you're getting a life update.
I finished my pottery project that I showed you guys in this post .
I'm going to use this for the art show that a local gallery does with the high schools in our county ever year.
Beaded black tops for the win.
Friday night my friends and I decided to have a little GNO (girl's night out). We went out for dessert and played pool. Followed by a sleepover. The next night we had another sleepover and went out for sushi. We had a really fab weekend.
I snapped pics of my two silly pets this weekend. My cat, Java, decided to drink right out of glass full of water. He is ridiculous, his water bowl was maybe 50 feet away.
My dog, Colby, sleeps with all of his paws straight up in the air. I love that crazy boy!
This is my current pottery project that I'm working on. The whole project will have the carved out lines like the top. The blue you see is a transfer ink paper that has a seashell pattern on it.
I'm off to the gym with my friend. Hope all is going well with you guys!
Today I wanted to share a super chic hair accessory with you all.
They are from Dorfman Pacific and they are the cutest fascinator headbands ever.
The Scala Collezione Collection is one of Dorfman Pacific's
most popular brands. It features more
than 50 formal looks retailing from $30
up to about $150 for a very involved Sinamay style with a seven inch brim,
netting and dyed to match feathers (and over $200 for a fascinator decorated
with a butterfly motif and silk flowers in a 22 inch diameter!). Flowers, bows,
ruffles and/or feathers adorn each style in stunning, eye catching intricate
designs. All fascinators are individually boxed to protect the fine
workmanship. Style LDF7 is a very
popular style because it is flattering on all face shapes and has just the
right detailing and trim for accessorizing most outfits. The headband is subtle
but secures the fascinator so it stays in place through dancing, partying,
cocktailing and the like
This headband is perfect to jazz up a simple little black dress for any party occasion. I love that it is such a statement piece. The feathers are a classic touch and the product is extremely well made. This headband gives a classy, British-esque edge to any ensemble. If you want to bring out your inner Duchess then you should definitely procure one!
It comes in the three colors: black, white, and pebble.
Also, don't worry about a damaged headband arriving at your door step; when they ship the headband out they package it very well which prevents any breaking. It is always great to have your orders arrive safe and sound!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Yes I was sent this item to review, but that does not change any of my opinions.
