Americana Twist

Hello fashionistas!
The summer heat haze is very much alive in sunny Florida!
I'm not going to lie when I say that I tried on 3 different outfits before going out the other day. #Fashionprobz
My final outfit is a bit Americana inspired, a lot of navy with a little bit of red pops. I opted for silver instead of white accessories for a twist.

Top: Forever 21 (circa like 2 or 3 years ago) Pants: Gloria Vanderbilt Shoes: DSW (Guess) Bracelet: Forever 21 Earrings: Kohl's (I think)

I wanted to wear shorts, but I knew that the stores we were going in would be chilly, so I stuck with these capri-esque pants. These actually remind me more of cigarette pants because they taper in a lot at the bottom. These are the comfiest pants. I wish you could see the band of red in the triple tie on this top. Le sigh. The straps are braided with three different colors, so I kept the braid theme by adding my braided chunky bracelet- my favorite bracelet. Wedges to give my petite frame some extra height.

I had to put my hair up because it was THAT HOT outside. I was so warm while getting ready because my room is the hottest during the summer and coldest during the winter, darn that big window! Makeup was kept simple with a pale brown liner on my top lid and lots of mascara. I used OCC's lip tar is Pretty Boy with Korres' liquid lipstick in Raspberry over it to come up with a red color.

I spent my morning/early afternoon at the gym; I biked "hills" for 30 minutes and did the elliptical for an hour. I did a total of 15.5 miles. I'm worn out! I decided to hang at home and do some laundry and a DIY project. If my DIY turns out like I expect it will, then I will probably post it on here!
Hope you're having a great weekend!
