Dot. Dot.. Dot...

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to show you all what I wore to school today.
A thought often passes through my mind when I walk out the door, "I look more like a woman going to job than a girl going to school." I like dressing up. I can't wait for the days when I get to be a classy, working woman!

Blazer and earrings: New York and Company Top: Belk Jeans: Belk (Jones New York) Shoes: JCP Bracelet: Belk

I have been waiting to wear this shirt and I finally wore it today! I love the sheerness with the polka dots. I wanted to contrast with a bright white blazer, but I also wanted to show you the flowing sleeves.
For a pop of color I added my blue heels. I wanted sleek jewelry, so I wore a silver bracelet and some simple silver, faux diamond stone earrings.

For makeup I did a subtly smokey eye and a bright pink lip. The lip color is not translating very well in these pictures! Annoying. Hair straight and with a bobby pin to pin my bangs over.

I had a really good day today!
I got a chemistry test, one that I took forever ago, and I got a 96%. I worked so hard, I'm really happy!
I also got a 5 on the AP 3D scale for one of my projects. A 6 is the highest and extremely difficult to garner.

I'm off to go do homework. I have a plan to write for english. Then I have to finish steps 3 and 4 for my AP 3D 'exploring my voice'  packet. That's going to take me forever!

Have a great day!

Comfort, Style, and Warmth

Hello fashionistas!

The past couple of days had been nice and warm.. Until this week when the weather went chilly! Well, chilly for Florida. I'm not complaining, I quite like the cold, brisk air.
I opted for a warm ensemble.
A simple blue, long sleeve shirt, subtle, pinstriped blazer, and a new pair of jeans featured in my last haul.
I wanted to keep warm so I tossed on my snood and added plaid socks to go with my flats for a pop of pattern. I was pretty warm! Comfort, style, and warmth. Those are three great things for a winter outfit, but if I can't fit comfort into the equation then that's always the first one to go!

Top: Old Navy Blazer: New York and Company Jeans: Belk Shoes: Me Too is the brand, my dad bought them at Costco ages ago for Christmas so I doubt they're still there Snood: Mom made it Necklace: Tiffany & Co. Ring: Forever 21 Socks: Target

My latest thing is twisting my bangs over. Makes it look like I put in more effort in than I did. Also, sorry for looking so tired. This was the first day back from winter break and I was exhausted! Sleep troubles and waking up early do not mix!

Also, the lipstick I'm wearing is MAC "Speed Dial" with Covergirl's Wet Slicks "Red Riot" gloss over it.

This weekend I'm going to be studying like a madwoman, midterms start on Tuesday. So stressed! Trying to not let it get to me. Wish me luck! To combat my stressed feeling I put an order in for January's My Glam bag! I'm so excited that I finally got through; they'd been out of stock every time I've checked. Can't wait to get it! It seems like a better version of Birchbox, I hope it was worth the $10 I spent. Based on last month's bag I think it will be.

Loads of love and I hope you all have a more exciting weekend than I am.
I'm going back to studying for my chemistry midterm.

First Haul of the New Year

Hello fashionistas!
I've been a little shopper bee lately. I went to Marshall's with my mom and her friend and then the next day I went to Kohl's and the mall with my aunt and mom! I picked up a bra at Kohl's, but I didn't feel that you guys needed to see that! I also went into Sephora, but I didn't buy anything. Which is really abnormal.

Here's everything else I bought!

Remember how I'd told you all I wanted to find a cute polka dot top? My mom found this and told me to try it on, I fell in love! I paid a mere $24 dollars for it; it was originally $48, such a steal! It's sheer, flowing, but yet form fitting. I can't wait to wear it! This was from Belks.

I needed another pair of jeans, these are a dark wash, straight leg jeans from Jones New York. Again, these were originally $70 dollars and I bought them for $35. Such a good deal! They fit very well and are really comfortable. Perfect length on my short figure! These were purchased from Belks.

I like this top because of the high scoop neckline and the color really pops against my skin and hair. The rouching of the sleeves is really slimming. It's a Michael Kors shirt, but I bought it at Marshalls.

Sleeve detail and the little pull is gold and says Michael Kors. My flash made it look silver and you can't tell the name on it.

I'm in love with this bag! It's a Jessica Simpson; her bags are a really good quality and price. This bag has tons of room in it, I need a big bag! I'm one of those girls who carries so much stuff in case of any and every emergency! I'm going to have to do a what's in my bag post soon.
My mom bought this bag before me in a creamy, tan/brown color. When I saw it in black I knew I had to have it! I paid $60 for it, it was originally $108.

Jessica Simpson logo.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my haul!

Lots of love!

Ladylike Style

Hello belles!

Long time no post! This week was an extremely jam packed, fun, exhausting week!

Wednesday my friends and I had to work on our history project, we had to write a song about Germany and all of their colonies back in the 1900s and make a map to go along with it. We wrote the lyrics last Sunday, started recording it Wednesday, but we didn't finish it. Yesterday two out of the five, plus me (we were the ones who actually recorded it) came over and we finished it! I'm very proud of us.

Then Thursday was my actual birthday and my mom, dad, sister, and I went out the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, delicious! Then mom and I went to Sephora; I actually didn't buy anything! After that we went to Forever 21 for a few minutes and I bought a cardigan and some earrings.

So please forgive me for not posting this week!

Onto a little something I wore this week.

I hadn't worn this pencil skirt in a long, long, long time, so I decided to wear it this week.
Dressed it down with this jacket and a simple black top. Accented with silver shoes and I was ready to go!

Jacket: JCP Shirt: Jones New York Tank top: Kohls Skirt: Coldwater Creek Shoes: Payless

I have a funny story about this jacket. A few weeks ago I let my best friend Lily borrow my favorite jean blazer, actually my only jean blazer. Seen here and in many other posts on my blog.
Anyways, she wore it back to her house and somehow it just 'disappeared.'
She claims to have looked everywhere for it and just can't find it (okay, I know she did, but still it was my favorite jacket)!
So homegirl said she'd buy me a new one or make it up to me. The point was that she shouldn't have just borrowed it and lost it! I wanted my jacket back. So, Lily went in her closet and finds this jacket and goes "here it's yours now."
That would be the story about how I acquired this article of clothing!
Oh Lily, how you make me laugh.

I'm off to get ready for a little party for my cousin's birthday; she's turning 19 on the 16th of this month. Happy almost birthday Meg!

I'll be taking pictures of all my birthday presents and posting them up here either Sunday or Monday.

Loads of love!

Stripes and Snood

Hello fashionistas!
I thought I'd show you all what I wore to school on Monday.

Top: Vintage Jacket: Jones New York/Costco Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Shoes: Payless Bracelet: Forever 21 Scarf: made by my mom

There was a bit of a chill in the air and it was misting throughout the day. I opted for my "snood"; my continuous circle scarf. I thought the black jacket and grey scarf needed a pop of color and pattern, so I went with this classic blue and white striped shirt. This is one of my favorite jackets, whenever I wear it I feel like has a motorcycle rider vibe. Maybe that's just me; my secret rebellious, motorcycle riding alter ego breaking through!

I thought I'd share my school picture with you all.
This was before my bob cut.

Yesterday at High Q practice we played boys vs girls and us girls kicked some serious booty! I was quite proud of us. Today we had a our match and we lost extremely badly. Seriously disappointing, even though the team we played was the best team in our county. Oh well.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment, not looking forward to that!

Have a lovely day!

Homecoming 2011

Hello fashionistas!
As promised, here is my homecoming 2011 post!
I went with my best friend Lily, Kali, Asia, and Isabella. We had a really fun time!
Here are some of pictures we took.

Dress: Jones New York Shoes: Nine and Co from JCP Earrings: Mom's

Dress: Ross Shoes: Payless Earrings: her mom's

Lily and I both went for black dresses with a pop of color in the shoes. Seen as the theme was "neon nights" I chose bright blue, suede heels.

My eye makeup. I wish I could remember what I had used, but I don't really recall what it was.

Lily's eye makeup, again sorry I don't remember what I used on her!

The ticket.

 All of us girls!

Left to right: Asia, Isabella, Kali, Lily, and yours truly!
Anyone else find it hysterical how Lily manages to STILL tower over us in flats while we all had on high heels? I'm so envious of her height.

Best friends until the end!

My mom♥

My sister and I with Lily and her sister.

After the many pictures were taken (we must have taken over a 100 pictures) we went out to dinner at a local seafood restaurant. Then we went to homecoming. Danced it up and had some good laughs. All in all it was pretty grand night!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Snood-rific

Hello dearest fashionistas,
I have an outfit of the day for you today.

I wore this on Tuesday to school.

Shirt: Target
Jacket: Jones New York (bought at Costco)
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt (bought at Costco)
Shoes: Payless (they're just the pointy toe silver ones, sorry mom didn't get them in the picture!)
Snood: Mom made it
Brooch: Borrowed from my mom

Again sorry for the phone pictures! My dad said he'd pick up a new memory card sometime this week. Until then...

I'm in LOVE with snoods right now, my pottery teacher loved it so much she tried it on; she wants my mom to make her one! I told my mom that I think she should make them and sell them on Etsy. Would you guys buy things like that from Etsy?

I'm so tired of school right now, with all of the exams we have next week we get a bunch of study guides. I hate having 154 question government study guide!
Oh exams.

Thanks for following and commenting!

Look of the Day - 9/11/10

Dearest fashionistas,

I have a bit of an addiction to outfit of the day posts, I love reading them,I love commenting on them, and I love posting them.

So here's what I wore today.
Oh but before that here's a little story about my day.
So today was academy photos (I'm in AICE) so my bag weighed like a TRILLION pounds and because the line to get in the gym was a hundred deep I decided to dash to my locker to drop of some textbooks. It was only a hall over so I left my stuff with my friends. So when I got back the hallway was completely DESERTED! Short of the story is I didn't get in the AICE photos (and I'm a bit bummed).

Anyways back to what I was going to wear for the picture (actually I was going to wear this before I even realized that it was photos today).

My mom painted the kitchen over the weekend, hence the tape on the wall.
I feel like I look really short in this picture.

Close up of my face.

Jacket: Jones New York (Costco)
Tank top: Kohls
Shirt: Forever 21
Jeans: Levis
Shoes: Payless
Earrings: Forever 21

Today when I got home I did all of my homework (geometry and biology) and it was super easy.
Thankfully geometry was only eight problems (this made me happy). Biology was only key terms (all 45 of them). I had done 30 of them in class so I didn't have that much to do.
Also I folded and put up a load of laundry and I did another load of delicates. I am so on top of my laundry!

OOTD and Update

Two posts in one day!? Lucky ducks!
Just kidding, I've been seriously slacking this month!
This is what I wore today.
(Sorry for the slightly blurry quality, crappy phone pictures!)

Jacket: Jones New York (Costco)
Tanktop: Sonoma (Kohls)
Ring(which I don't think you can see) : My mom
Earrings: Forever 21
Shoes: Payless
Scarf: Target
Jeans: JCP

Today was BCA day at my school so I wore a bright pink scarf! Yesterday was purple but, I didn't get a good picture because I was rushing out the door.
Also today I had a biology quiz and we switched papers so it go graded today, and I got a 95%. I was super pleased! I also took a pottery exam and it was really easy so I'm expecting a good grade on that as well. Today marks the start of a 4 day weekend for me!(:
Tomorrow I have an appointment to get a haircut because I'm having some major split ends, this would be because I haven't had a haircut since I think April! Craziness.

That's all for tonight fashionistas.
