Food, Friends, Fun.

Hello fashionistas!
I have a somewhat random all over the place post tonight.

With my my mom being gone I have taken over role of chef (and the one who cleans). I whipped up some veggie quiches the other night and some taaaaasty muffins that I found via Pinterest. They were the most delectable muffins I have had in a long long long time. Janie from Janies' Kitchen originally used a doughnut pan for hers, but I didn't have that, hence the muffins. Click here to be taken to the recipe.

Down by the bay. Sorry the photo quality is kinda meh.

My best friend, Lily, officially moved back to Florida yesterday!!! Excitement levels are through the roof. We went out to dinner and walked around downtown. We also bought overpriced popsicles. Obviously a must- my flavor was Pistachio Coconut and it was SO GOOD. Lily got some kind of papaya mango popsicle (I thought mine was better.. Just sayin').

My hair was so much more voluminous before we walked around in the haaawtttt Florida humidity.

Before I left to pick her up for dinner I obviously had to snap a selfie. Duh, what else?
I swear I really do not take that many selfies.. Most of them are dumb faces being sent in response to texts.. #Ipromise

I have been volunteering all week at a kids' art camp and afterwards I have been hitting the gym. Then I went and picked up Lily to run errands. We went to Bath and Body Works where I practiced extreme self control and only bought one lotion. We then went to Target and got POURED ON. While I was driving a mini hurricane brewed and sprayed us with rain. I kid not when I say my jeans and top were completely soaked. I looked like a soggy cat. And this was with an umbrella. Lily tried on these pants that were multicolored and huuuuge on her. The pants reminded me of MC Hammer pants and gave me quite a laugh!

Merona® Women's Eyelet Short (5") - Red Rave
I ended buying these shorts even though I hate showing off my thighs. Probably will wear them to a friends' 4th of July partaaay.
That is all.

Anyways, I'm glad my second family is back! I have to get to bed soon because I have to be up at 7 to get ready to volunteer. Hope you guys are doing well! Happy almost weekend!

Summer Shopping

Hello fashionistas!
Over the past few weeks I have picked up a few new things. Losing weight means my clothes are way too big! Anyways, here is what I have purchased.

This is a gorgeous hi-lo dress from Kohl's in the Simply Vera Vera Wang line. I had tried this dress on in a medium when it was full price and a little tight across the chest. I went back a month and a half later, found it, tried it on, and it fit like a glove! Plus it was over half off- steal! I cannot wait to wear this.

This is also from Kohls you can buy it here. I love having a simple LBD to throw on during summer. Easily dressed up with jewelry and heels or dressed down with a sunhat and sandals.

This was also from Kohl's and it is the softest material ever. It reminds me of a yoga pant skirt.. Which is the epitome of comfort, soooo obviously it had to be purchased. I will probably pair this with a black v-neck and gladiators. Plus some sassy aviators.

This top is from Target and it was on major sale- only seven bucks! I love wearing cobalt with a tan!

This bodycon skirt is from Target and was also on major sale for a mere ten dollars. I love the turquoise and navy stripes. I wore this out to dinner last night; I will post an outfit of the day this weekend!

I purchased two bikini tops while at Target. I have lost enough weight that I feel confident enough to wear one, but I plan on wearing them with a swim skirt because I'm not ready to go completely bare!
These are really comfortable.

Have you guys purchased any new clothing?
I'm off to go help my mom pack; she is leaving for Michigan tomorrow for TWO WEEKS. Sadness.
I will miss her so much.

Have a great weekend!

Exciting Life Update!

Hello fashionistas!
I have a life update to share with you all!
On Monday I got my license! I'm street legal to drive, very exciting. For my very first drive I drove to Dunkin' Donuts to get coffee and then I went over and surprised my boyfriend with my license.
Also, in case you guys were wondering, I'm not getting a car right away! My parents are just letting me use their cars if they don't need them, which I really appreciate.

Today I told my sister that I would drive her anywhere, so we decided to go to Target.
That's us above in the car about to leave. After Target we went to Sonic for slushies.
Then I drove us to go bowling with my boyfriend and his little brother.

At Target my sister and I found this dress on sale for only $8. It fit both of us, so we decided we'd share it. I can't wait to pair this with a blazer and wedges..

Okay, before I leave I wanted to share this hilarious Sh!t Fashion Girls Say video. Love it.

What's new with you guys?
Have a fabulous day!

Pearls and Pink

Hello fashionistas!
Another one of my outfit of the days. I love sharing these with you all.
Sorry for my hair in these photos. Due to where I part my bangs they kind of poofed up when I brushed them back and my part must have not stayed evenly together in the back. Oh well.

I woke up craving to wear a headband. I go through phases where I want to wear headbands 24/7 and then I just stop. I think the headband phase is back on.

Simple, soft makeup. Pale brown eye makeup and a pink lipstick with a clear gloss over it. Glowing pink cheeks and I was ready to go.

Top: Gap Blazer: Kohl's Jeans and Bracelet: Belk Shoes: Target Earrings: F21 Headband: Ross

Again, apologies for the pictures. For some reason it blurred, but this was the only full length one I had.
I wanted to wear this dusty pink, beaded top to school. I paired it with my trusty black blazer, trouser jeans, and a black heels. Accessorized with my favorite silver bracelet and silver studs.

See the bracelet? It's probably one of my favorite pieces of jewelry, next to my Tiffany's necklace! It's such a simple piece, but I like the contrast between the swirls and sleek silver.

Lots of love!

Pretty in Purple

Hello fashionistas!
I thought I'd share an outfit that I wore to school on Monday with you all.
My parents had new carpet put in that day, hence why there wasn't any carpet in these photos!

Top: Forever 21 Blazer: New York and Company Tanktop: Kohl's Jeans: Belk Shoes: Target Purse: Jessica Simpson Earrings: Old Navy Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

I was in a mood that made me just want to dress up. I've been waiting to wear this shirt and that day just felt like a good day to wear it! Paired it with my white blazer to offset the purple. Dark jeans to balance out the brightness and my favorite heels to finish it off.
Very simple makeup. All I used on my eyes was Urban Decay's "Whiskey" eyeliner on lower lashline and mascara on my upper lashes. I wasn't feeling like putting on a bunch of makeup. Sometimes I need simple and that was one of those days!
Notice the hair twist?.. It's becoming my favorite hair thing.

Today I have no exams because my pottery is a 6/7 class. My mom and I are going out to lunch at my favorite restaurant in town, Harry's. Then I have an eye appointment to get my perscription checked and because I'm almost out of contacts.
Five day weekend for me because of Martin Luther King Day on Monday and a teacher planning day on Tuesday. Woo!

On a random note, got a 96% on my history exam. Very pleased!

Have a great weekend!

Loads of love!

Pops of Pink and Tweed

Hello fashionistas!
First off I want to say sorry for the awkward factor of these photos. I look so awkward! I was freezing and running late. Plus this blazer never photographs as cutely as it actually looks! Which irritates me to no end. Anyways, I decided to wear this outfit because the pink scarf really complimented the blazer. I paired it with a soft pink because I wasn't in the mood for black! Also, I wore this last week.

Excuse the fact that one sleeve is cuffed and the other isn't. I was so scattered that morning!

Top: Gap Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Jacket: Cold Water Creek Scarf and Shoes: Target Earrings: Forever 21

I'm thinking I need to wear this scarf more often; I really love the color and casual fringe! It's also incredibly warm.

My history exam was extremely easy, I finished in 30 minutes and had an entire hour to sit. My French exam was not easy. It was actually really hard. Today I took my math and chemistry exams and those were both pretty difficult.
Tomorrow I have my english and AP 3D exams. My AP 3D exam is actually just a critique, should be easy. My english exam is just a standard exam and seen as I'm in a college level english class I'm not worried.
Can't wait for tomorrow to be over because I don't have to go to school on Friday because my AP 3D class is a 6/7, so I don't have another exam.

Lots of love!

Comfort, Style, and Warmth

Hello fashionistas!

The past couple of days had been nice and warm.. Until this week when the weather went chilly! Well, chilly for Florida. I'm not complaining, I quite like the cold, brisk air.
I opted for a warm ensemble.
A simple blue, long sleeve shirt, subtle, pinstriped blazer, and a new pair of jeans featured in my last haul.
I wanted to keep warm so I tossed on my snood and added plaid socks to go with my flats for a pop of pattern. I was pretty warm! Comfort, style, and warmth. Those are three great things for a winter outfit, but if I can't fit comfort into the equation then that's always the first one to go!

Top: Old Navy Blazer: New York and Company Jeans: Belk Shoes: Me Too is the brand, my dad bought them at Costco ages ago for Christmas so I doubt they're still there Snood: Mom made it Necklace: Tiffany & Co. Ring: Forever 21 Socks: Target

My latest thing is twisting my bangs over. Makes it look like I put in more effort in than I did. Also, sorry for looking so tired. This was the first day back from winter break and I was exhausted! Sleep troubles and waking up early do not mix!

Also, the lipstick I'm wearing is MAC "Speed Dial" with Covergirl's Wet Slicks "Red Riot" gloss over it.

This weekend I'm going to be studying like a madwoman, midterms start on Tuesday. So stressed! Trying to not let it get to me. Wish me luck! To combat my stressed feeling I put an order in for January's My Glam bag! I'm so excited that I finally got through; they'd been out of stock every time I've checked. Can't wait to get it! It seems like a better version of Birchbox, I hope it was worth the $10 I spent. Based on last month's bag I think it will be.

Loads of love and I hope you all have a more exciting weekend than I am.
I'm going back to studying for my chemistry midterm.

Makeup and Outfit of the Day 12-22-11

Hello fashionistas!

I went down for a quick visit to my aunt's work with my mom and sister this morning.
This is what I wore for makeup and for my clothing.
The clothing worn in the makeup pictures were pre me getting dressed. I was wearing my diy galaxy shirt when I took these.

Face

MAC matte creme
Benefit Boi-ing Concealer
Maybelline Purestay Powder Foundation in 'ivory'
Physcian's Formula translucent powder
ELF Contouring and Blush duo (bronzer only to contour)
Maybelline mousse blush in 'Cloud Wine'

Eyes

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
Kitten eyeshadow mixed with a pale, shimmery mauve shadow all over my lid
Urban Decay's Buck in my crease
Urban Decay's Virgin as my highlight
Covergirl's Lashblast mascara

Lips

MAC Speed Dial lipstick
Covergirl Red Riot Wetslicks lipgloss

I'm convinced that this lip combination makes the perfect, holy grail hot pink lip!
I didn't want to overpower this lip combo, so I stick with a simple pink and brown eye. I think a smokey eye would look good too; for a more formal occasion than just running out and about!

Hair photo.
I quickly ran my straightener over my hair (just to smooth out any lumps from sleeping on it). Then I took a bit of the top layer and pushed it up with a small hair clip. Slipped on a beaded headband from Forever 21 and I was done. Very easy and it dressed my hair up!

Top & Blazer: Kohls Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Shoes: Target Bracelet: local store Necklace: Tiffany & Co. Bag: Ivanka Trump Headband: Forever 21

This was just a very simple, quick outfit. I thought pairing the black with my cream bag created a classy effect.

Hope you enjoyed!

Happy day before Christmas Eve!

Wear Green, Go Green.

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share the outfit I wore on my actual birthday to school. Are you all tired of all the birthday related posts? I promise this is the last post until next birthday! (;

Dress & Blazer: Target Tights: CVS Shoes: Ross Tank top: Costco Necklace Tiffany & Co Bracelet: Forever 21

I bought this dress a week before my birthday and decided to just save it to wear on my birthday. I don't know if it's just me, but I love wearing something new on my birthday (or any special day). I feel like it just puts a little more pep in your step. Is it just me?

I debated on wearing my black, pinstripe, boyfriend blazer, but I decided that this boyfriend blazer looked better. Sometimes you can go overboard on black.

Meant to share this tidbit with you all, my group project/song for history got put into the 'save' folder! She liked it so much that it's going to be used as an example next year; we were all really proud of ourselves.
Tomorrow I'm going in early to finish up my chemistry test, wish me luck because I'm going to need it!
On Friday I have a dentist appointment, so no school. Winter break starts early for me!

Loads of love!

Jaguar Colors

Hello fashionistas!

Sorry for not posting all weekend. My friends and family threw me a surprise birthday party on Saturday, will be posting pictures this week! It was the best thing ever. My mom was sneaking around and planning it all with my friends and family, I had no clue!

Anyways, I thought I'd show you all what I wore to school on Thursday.

Top and tanktop: Kohls Pants: Gloria Vanderbilt Cardigan: Target Shoes: Forever 21 Earrings: Mom's, sorry you can't see them! They were just dangly earrings.

I wanted to wear my blank pants because I hadn't worn them in a couple weeks, I thought the cream would contrast nicely with them. I threw the teal cardigan on for a pop of color! I needed smidgen of pattern, so hence the cheetah shoes. Very comfortable and cute outfit.

My mom said that these colors reminded her of the Jaguar football team; that would be why I titled it "Jaguar Colors."

I'm not looking forward to going to school tomorrow. I'm so exhausted! I had such a jam packed, extremely fun weekend. I wish it could just continue on!

Have a great Monday!

Preppy Princess

Hello my fabulous fashionistas!
Sorry for not posting the past few days, I've been busy and sick. Busy + sick = the worst combination ever (and a sleepy Savannah)!

I wore this outfit to school on Monday and thought I'd share it with you all.

I was feeling preppy, so I paired this mock layered sweater with my camel blazer and pencil skirt. For a little sass I added my black chunky heels. It needed a bit of sparkle, hence the hair clip.

Top: Kohls Blazer and Shoes: Target Pencil skirt: Coldwater Creek Ring: mom's Earrings: Forever 21

Today was the start of my Thanksgiving break. I spent majority of it on the couch because when I woke up I knew my cold had made the transition into a sinus infection. After my dad got home from work he took me to the CVS Minute Clinic; my doctor was out of town. Like I  had suspected it was another sinus infection! After that we went to the mall. My dad bought another pair of Cole Haan shoes and I bought some self tanner and lotion at Bath and BodyWorks. Then we went to Harry's, a local seafood restaurant, and had a delicious dinner.
Tomorrow Dad, Colby (the dog), and I are going to drive to my Nana's to meet up with my mom, sister, uncle, aunt, and cousin for Thanksgiving.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Polka Dotted.

Hello fashionistas!
I thought I'd go ahead and share with you all what I wore to school on Tuesday.
After school I had my High Q match. Good news, the JV team won! Very exciting, now we're going to the district match. Which is an all day event which means I'll get out of school for the day.

Blazer, tank top, dress: Kohls Shoes: Payless Necklace: Forever 21 Hairclip: Target

I bought this dress at Kohls a few weeks ago and I've been dying to wear it! It has been warm again the past couple of days, so I decided to wear it. I thought it needed a blazer to go over it seen as it is November. For spring/summer I'd definitely just throw on a pair of wedges and be good to go!
I loved that the name of the dress was "Parisian Chic" ,too cute.

I woke up this morning with a pounding headache, sadly the headaches has not ceased all day! Today has been an extremely long day and I had a ton of homework to do; luckily I'm almost done with everything. I have a French and a math quiz tomorrow, so I still need to look over a few things.

I'm off to finish homework and studying!

Lots of love!

Denim Squared

Hello fashionistas!

I wore this little outfit to school and the dentist yesterday.
I wanted to wear my denim, boyfriend blazer, but I wanted to wear it with jeans. I decided to contrast the darkness of the jacket with a lighter pair of jeans. A little denim on denim! To offset the denim I chose a white, flowy top. Added a little pop of pattern in with my shoes, some sparkle with my bracelet and I was ready to go!

Blazer: Target Top: Nine and Co. Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Tanktop: Kohls Shoes and Bracelet: Forever 21

For my makeup I went with a subtly smoky purple eye and I brought the darker, crease color down onto my bottom lashline. Super simple!

Tomorrow is Veterans Day and I would like to thank all the brave people who've served in the military.

Anyways, I'm off to watch some One Tree Hill on Netflix. It's become my latest addiction!

Have a great day and to those of you who don't have tomorrow off, happy almost Friday!

Sheer Meets Bright White

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share the outfit that I wore to school and my High Q meet on Tuesday.
I'd been wanting to pair this top with this blazer because I thought the sheerness would contrast nicely with the bright white.
Also, this is my new haircut! I hadn't posted any pictures of it yet, so ta-da this is it! I went for a nice bob that made me look more mature and sophisticated. My bangs can be worn to the side or as edgy real bangs.

Top and bracelet: Forever 21 Pants: Gloria Vanderbilt Shoes: Target Blazer: New York and Company

School has been crazy busy right now. Today I had a history test and I've been swamped with school work, clubs, and homework! I'm looking forward to this weekend. I'm hoping to spend it with the best friend, Lily.
I promise I'll get my homecoming pictures/post up this weekend! I just haven't had time to upload the many pictures that were taken.

I hope you all have a great day!

Lots of love!

Teal, Black, and Curls

Hello fashionistas!
I though I would share what I wore today with you all.
My mom is away visiting her family, so photo props go to Nana, thanks Nan!
Also, this is my hundred and one outfit post!

Sorry for the strange smiles in the upclose pics. Not sure what was going on with my mouth!
Also, sorry for looking extremely pale, macro was on. I like macro the most, even if it does make me look pale.

Top: JCP Jeans: GV Blazer: Kohls Shoes: Target

I raided mom's closet today and borrowed this shirt. Thanks mom..
I thought the teal would look great with the blazer, so I just needed to borrow it.
The metal grommets on it caused me to forgo any accessories, which is a very rare thing for me to do.
Today was the first chilly day down here in FL, so I opted to curl my hair.

For my makeup I channeled my inner Rachel Zoe, aka my idol. I love her! Dark lipstick, subtle flush to the cheeks, mascara, and liner on the bottom lashline. Super easy.

While I was comfortable in my blazer, half of the school decided to wear parkas/sweatshirts. Floridians are so annoying about the cold, they act like it's below zero. I kid you not, I'm walking outside to a class and some guy said "man it's like negative degrees out here, I'm freezing!" It was literally only 65 degrees. I silently started cracking up.

School is going pretty well. Grades are due on Tuesday. As of now it looks like I'm going to have all As and one B in chemistry. On the history test I took last week I got a 98% , which I was extremely pleased about!
All of my other classes are going well, chemistry is just tough. I'm happy with a B in it, because it's a weighted class it will still be worth 3.5 points (GPA). All of my other weighted classes should cancel out the B.

Any-who, I'm off to go do homework. If I want to keep my grades up, I have to work for it!

Lots of love!

Weekend Haul!

Hello fashionistas!
I spent the night at Lily's house on Friday, then spent Saturday morning getting coffee and having a good time. Afterwards I did a little shopping with my mom yesterday and thought I'd show you all what I picked up.

I got this new nightgown because honestly, who doesn't love new, soft jim jams? I know I do!
I love the casual lace mixing with the cheetah print.

The nightgown informed  me that it wanted a robe that would go with it, so naturally I had to get this robe.
It is SO soft. I never want to leave it.

I randomly ran across these shoes and they're a size 4 1/2, they looked pretty big to me, so I tried them on and they fit like a glove.. Or shoe. They're Nine West, I think these will look good with jeans and a blazer. A little pop of silver!

I got all of these items at Marshalls.

After Marshalls, mom and I ran to Target to pick up a few skincare items. Around the sides of my eyes I've been having really dry, patchy, red, irritated skin.
This never happens because I take really good care of my skin. I'm going to do a skincare routine post soon.

Anyways, I bought the Dove to wash my face with, the Aquaphor to put on the patchy spots around my eyes, and a new moisturizer/cream. Only it isn't new because I've been using this product for years, I just bought the cream version.

Have you all done any hauling this weekend?
Do tell!
