Sephora Lust List

Hello fashionistas!
I hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and if you do not celebrate Christmas, then I hope it was still a fabulous day! I've been browsing the Sephora website and have come across a few things that I would not mind purchasing for myself. I wanted to share them with you all!

Stila - Light of Day Makeup Set
Light of Day makeup set by Stila is a great set that comes with an eyeshadow palette, eye liner, mascara, illuminated baked setting powder, and an all over liquid shimmer illuminator. This set is priced at $45, but is on sale for $36 until January 1st.

bareMinerals - bareMinerals® Get Started® Kit
The bareMinerals Get Started kit has been a set that I have been eyeing for over a year. It comes with a plethora of products, primers, and brushes. I would not mind procuring this for myself. This set is priced at $68.

bareMinerals - Beauty In Bloom

The bareMinerals Beauty in Bloom set is a colorful set with pretty pinks for spring. These colors will be perfect and dainty for the warm spring months. The set is priced at a very affordable $36 and I can definitely see myself using this a lot.

Giorgio Armani - Acqua di Gioia

Acqua di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is a perfume I have been lusting after for a few months. A 1 oz bottle is priced at $43. This is the real reason I've been wary of buying it. I love perfume, but have a hard time purchasing it for myself!

Korres - Lip Butter

Korres lip butter in Quince. These lip butters are one of my favorite products because they pigmented and very hydrating! I love this shade and it is only $12.

Have you guys been stalking the Sephora website checking out the deals they are offering? Are we lusting after the same products?

Loads of love!

Flour Sack Creations Mineral Blush in Rose Review

Hello my fashionistas!
I have not whipped out a beauty post in eons and I feel that it is definitely time to do a beauty review post. I recently picked up this blush at our local farmers market.

The brand is called Flour Sack Creations and they make a wide variety of bath products (soaps, lotions, fragrances, etc) and mineral makeup. I decided to buy this beautiful blush in the shade Rose because it reminded me of Nars' Orgasm blush and was less than a third of the price! At only $10 it was such a bargain because it has so much product that I don't think I will ever be able to use it all.

The top swatch is the blush unblended and the lower swatch is the blush blended. I'm very very very impressed with the quality and longevity of the blush. I put this on this morning, went out to breakfast, had my nails done, went to the gym and it was still there! I was surprised that it was still on my face after my sweat fest at the gym!

If you want to purchase any of the Flour Sack Creations you can visit their website by clicking here

Have you guys tried any great local makeup brands lately?
I'm heading out of town for today and part of tomorrow to see family and a concert. I'll do a post with my vacation photos sometime next week! If you want constant updates of my life feel free to follow me on Twitter

Beauty Buys

Hello fashionistas!
I'm writing a quick post before I start studying for my second AICE psych exam (just a test for college credit, you know, no big deal... #sarcasm). Sorry for being a flighty blogger again; the last push for exams and prepping is CRAZY. I feel like I come home, go to the gym, shower, and study/do homework every single night. Probably because that is what I've been doing.

I went to Sephora last weekend and I picked up a few new things.

SEPHORA COLLECTION - Ribbon Hair Ties

I got these hair ties because they are super stretchy elastic bands that don't crease your hair or break it!  With all the time I've been spending at the gym with my hair in a ponytail I needed these! You get eight of them for $8.50. Also they come with glittery ones... Need I say more?

My mom bought me this St. Tropez self tanner and the accompanying mitt. I'm really excited to use this because I have heard the rave reviews about it! I'm going to try it tonight. Will report back on how I feel about it.

My aunt surprised me by buying all of this Jonathan Dirt products. They smell like almonds and basically leave me sniffing my hair all day long (obviously on the sly.. I don't want to look weird).
The Dirt Shine and Define Creme works great after curling hair.
I like the Dry Dirt Texturizing Spray because it helps give my hair a nice volume with a good hold that lasts all day. I have yet to try the other two products, but look forward to using them.

Hope you all are doing fabulously!
I'm off to bed to get some rest before my big exam tomorrow; my friend came over and we studied for a few hours, so all I need now is sleep!

Neutrals

Hello fashionistas!
I have been busy with AICE exams and school in general. I wanted to share an outfit that I wore a week and half ago when it was raining like crazy cats and dogs for 4 days.

Top: Target Jeans: Kohl's Boots: Kohl's Necklace: Etsy

The main reason for the boots ensemble was because I wanted to keep my feet dry.
I wanted to keep the clothes very neutral, so I paired a black tee with my warm brown boots. I add a pop with my turquoise statement necklace.

With the rain pouring down outside I did not want to have anything fancy done with my hair, so I just clipped some of it back. I used a lot of mascara and a berry lip. Very simple!

This weekend my mom and I made a Sephora run. I got one of OCC's lip tars in Pretty Boy and a 100 point perk for a deluxe sample of Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

Today is going to be a busy day; school, homework, guitar concert, so much stuff and not enough time. I have to take a day off from the gym today because I am so sore!

Hope your Monday is good!

NYE Makeup

Hello fashionistas!
Many of you are probably already planning what your NYE makeup will be (I say go full monty and wear a lot of sparkle and bright lipstick), but I wanted to share a look that I wore to my yearly Christmas Girl's PJ Party. I went with a golden/brown/grey eye with a pink pout. I think this is NYE appropriate, so hopefully this helps if you are in a makeup dilemma!

In case you want to know what I did to my hair I'll tell you! I just took a small straightener and did waves. I spritzed my whole head with hair spray and called it a day!
My PJs are from Kohl's, the Simply Vera Vera Wang line, so are my earrings!

Face:
Beneift Boi-ing concealer
Maybelline Pure Stay powder foundation
Nars Orgasm Blush
ELF Contouring and Blush duo (bronzer only to contour) on my face and my nose
Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer Powder on my cheeks (just the light side to highlight)

Lips
 Kat Von D Celebutard
Milani Berry Rich on top
Co Bigelow Spiced Vanilla Chai lipgloss on top

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion all over
Stila Kitten eyeshadow all over
UD Mushroom all over
Stila Kitten in the inner corner
UD Naked to buff out crease
UD Virgin to highlight
UD Mushroom as a liner
On my lower lashline I have UDPP, Stila Kitten all over and UD Mushroom on the last 2/3 of the lower lashline
Maybelline Falsies mascara (my favorite mascara E V E R)
UD 24/7 Liner in Whiskey on my inner lower lashline
I filled my brows in with UD's Naked

I just wanted to thank all of my readers for another lovely year. Hope 2013 brings you a lot of luck!
Hope this helps!

Loads of love!

Current Beauty Favorites.

Hello fashionistas!
Today I wanted to share some products that have been getting a lot of love and usage these past couple of weeks!

Left to right: Urban Decay mini Pocket Rocket in Naked, Hourglass lipstick in Nocturnal, ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain, Milani Face Powder in 01 Light, Urban Decay Mariposa palette, specifically shades Spotlight and Mushroom.

The Urban Decay mini Pocket Rocket has been getting a lot of wear lately because it is a lovely pink color, not too dark and not light. Also, it is minty, which I love.
My splurge of the month, Hourglass' lipstick in Nocturnal, is a great lipstick. Goes on like butter and wears for hours. I highly recommend it.
The flawless finish foundation is creamy, goes on nicely, good coverage, and does not oxidize weirdly. I really like and for the price, $6, it is definitely worth it! Next time you're in need of a foundation check it out.
I needed a new face powder a few months ago, so I purchased the Milani face powder. It is perfect, not too heavy, but enough coverage to mask any flaws.
I have gotten so much use out of this Mariposa palette, I truly love it. Lately I'm loving the golden beige color Spotlight and the vampy grey Mushroom. I especially love layering Mushroom over Spotlight.

Left to right: UD Pocket Rocket Naked gloss, Hourglass' lipstick in Nocturnal.
Top shadow is Mushroom over Spotlight, then Mushroom, then Spotlight.

Bath and Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar conditioner and shampoo, Cashmere Glow body lotion, and Evologie Stay Clear Cleanser

My mom brought home the Bath and Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar shampoo and conditioner for me and I love it so much. My hair smells delicious!

The Cashmere glow was a purchase I made on a whim the other week and I really love it! It smells lovely, but it is not too overpowering.

I love the Evologie cleanser, click here for my full review.

What are you guys loving right now?

I'm off to go to a birthday dinner for one of my best friends, Katie. December babies all the way!

Loads of love!

Quick 5 Minute Face.

Hello fashionistas!
I haven't done a makeup post in eons, so I thought I would share what has become my quick five minute face. I've realized that some days I just don't feel like wearing a ton of makeup, so this looks put together, but is also super easy.

*Please excuse the messy hair! I slipped my hair back into a loose bun.

On my face I used:

 Benefit's Boi-ing concealer
 E.L.F. Translucent powder
E.L.F. Contouring bronzer for some warmth on my cheekbones
Too Faced blush in "Who's Your Poppy?"

On my eyes I used:

Too Faced Lashgasm mascara
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Whiskey to tight-line my upper inner lash line
Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow to fill in my eyebrows

On my lips I used:

Stila's lip liner in Devoted
Co. Bigelow lipgloss in Spiced Chai Latte

Devoted has quickly become my go to berry toned red liner. I think it is going to be a great shade for the upcoming fall/winter months. What do you guys normally do for your 5 minutes faces?

Today I took a few tests and quizzes. Everything went well. I'm glad I spent all of yesterday studying, it really paid off! I also finished the construction of my first pottery project of the year.
I can't wait for tomorrow to be here, I love Fridays! I'm just babysitting, but that's still fun.
What are your weekend plans?

Too Faced Romantic Eye Look

Hello fashionistas!
It's time for another makeup post. I FINALLY got around to photographing a look with my Too Faced Romantic Eye palette, click on the highlighted part to see my review of this palette.
I honestly love this palette and I'm very glad that I purchased it.
For the look I'm sharing today I did a sultry purple eye. I love playing with purples and this palette comes with a great range of purples!

Excuse the hair, I did nothing but blow dry it with my head upside down for some more volume!

Here's what I used on my face.

Benefit Boi-ing concealer
Physician's Formula Translucent Powder
ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer (bronzer only to contour)
Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer Powder on my cheeks
Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Cloud Wine

For my eyes:

Urban Decay Primer Potion all over lid and on the lower rim of my eye
Too Faced Cut the Cake all over lid
Too Faced First Dance in the crease/outer corner, blended
Too Faced I Do in the mid-tone area, blended
Too Faced Soulmates as my highlight
Urban Decay Infamous on my lower lashline
Too Faced First Dance layered on top of Infamous
Too Faced Lashgasm on my lashes
NYC Liquid Liner on my upper lashline
Urban Decay Naked to fill in my brows

For my lips I swept a quick coat of Co. Bigelow Pink Mint on and called it a day!

I would definitely wear this out on a date or for a special occasion, but being the makeup-ista I am I just did it for the blog! I love doing makeup posts because it lets me tap into my creativity.

This is a pre-scheduled post, so while you're reading this I'm probably out swimming in a beautiful, spring fed lake or soaking up some sun. Hope you're all doing great! I can't wait to read all of the posts I'm missing!

Loads of love!

Too Faced Poolside Primping Review

Hello fashionistas!
Last week I placed an order at Apothica and it came in the mail the other day, so I wanted to share what I bought with you all. I've recently become a fan of Too Faced Cosmetics and decided to order their Poolside Primping set. Living in Florida equals a lot of time spent in the water during summer and I would like to spend my time at the beach/pool looking good, so I decided why not buy a set made for that!

It's a waterproof bag, which I love.

This set comes with the Glamour Gloss Lip Gloss in Peek-a-Boo, Lashgasm Mascara, Pool Side Primping Makeup bag, Perfect Lips Lip Liner in Perfect Nude, Sun Bunny Bronzer, Primed and Poreless Bronze Tint Face Primer. All of these products but the Primed and Poreless Bronze Tint Face Primer are full sized.

Left to right:

Glamour Gloss, Perfect Lips lip liner, Sun Bunny (light side) of the bronzer, Sun Bunny (dark side) of the bronzer, Sun Bunny (light and dark) mixed together.

The bronzer provides such a warm, luminous glow to your face, and makes you look like you basked in the sun for hours. I think the lipgloss and liner give a 'my lips but better' look and have a bit of golden sheen that highlights the warmth from the bronzer.  The gloss is also a bit of a plumping gloss, I can feel my lips tingle just a bit when I put it on. I have yet to use to the mascara or the primer. If I find either of those super amazing, then I will review them!

If you want to purchase this product, here's the link. It was only $42 and I think that is a great deal because you get 4 full-sized products, a makeup bag, and a deluxe sample sized primer. Apothica also tossed in 2 free samples. If you sign up for Apothica's newsletter then they will send you a code for 10% off your purchase. Overall, I am really happy with my purchase!

What kind of summertime products do you all use when you know you're going to be outside/in the water?

Loads of love!

Beauty and Books Haul.

Hello fashionistas!
Over the weekend I went on a little Sephora trip. I decided to return the Too Faced Summer Eye palette because the shadows ended up being slightly chalky and when I blended the dark colors they became muddy. I was so bummed because I had really wanted it and ended up only liking 3 shades.
I ended up buying Nars' Orgasm Illuminator and Sephora Hot Hues All Over in Bronzed Glow.

The Sephora bronzer is gargantuan. It's almost as big as my face! It was originally twenty something dollars and I got it for $7. Steal!

Sorry this isn't such a vibrant swatch, my camera refused to pick up the shimmering greatness that the Sephora bronzer holds!

Nars Orgasm Illuminator. Heaven in a bottle. It gives me an instant summertime glow. I love it and definitely recommend it to EVERYONE.

The best friend, mom, and I also stepped into Barnes and Nobles and I picked up Lisa Scottoline's Think Twice  book. I'm so hooked. I was hooked within the first 10 pages and I haven't been able to put it down!
Here's the summary: Bennie Rosato looks exactly like her identical twin, Alice Connolly, but the darkness in Alice’s soul makes them two very different women. Or at least that’s what Bennie believes, until she finds herself buried alive at the hands of her twin.
Meanwhile, Alice takes over Bennie’s life, impersonating her at work and even seducing her boyfriend in order to escape the deadly mess she has made of her own life. But Alice underestimates Bennie and the evil she has unleashed in her twin’s psyche, as well as Bennie’s determination to stay alive long enough to exact revenge.
Bennie must face the twisted truth that she is more like her sister Alice than she could have ever imagined, and by the novel’s shocking conclusion, Bennie finds herself engaged in a war she cannot win—with herself.

You guys seriously need to check out this book!

I spent the afternoon with the boyfriend and best friend. The boyfriend sweetly brought me over a blizzard from Dairy Queen  because he knew I had a sore throat. So nice!

Okay, I'm off to go eat cupcakes with the best friend.
Loads of love!

Beloved Bronzes and Glistening Golds

Hello fashionistas!
I did a quick makeup look before I went out to lunch/shopping/errands with the momma and best friend.
Decided to snap some pictures to share with you all.
I went for a slightly sultry bronze and gold look. My favorite kind of look!

Here are all the products I used on my eyes:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay Naked 2 YDK shadow all over
Stila Kitten shadow lightly dusted all over YDK
Urban Decay Naked 1 Naked to buff out my crease
Urban Decay Naked 2 Bootycall as my highlight
Milani black eye pencil to line my upper lashes
NYX Yogurt as a base on my lower lash line
Urban Decay YDK all over NYX's Yogurt
Covergirl Lashblast mascara on upper and lower lashes
Urban Decay Naked to fill in my brows

Urban Decay Naked is such a great crease color and it's the perfect brow color match for me!
Cannot express my love for this shadow enough.

On my face I used:

Benefit Boi-ing concealer
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation in Light Ivory
Physician's Formula translucent powder to set everything
ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder to contour my face
Stila Camilla bronzing cream blush on my cheeks
Nars Orgasm blush
Nars Orgasm Illuminator on top of the blush

On my lips I used:

Some random berry toned Sephora lipgloss that has no name because it was a mini in a set, sorry guys!
To tone down the berry color I used Revlon's Lilac Pastel lipgloss over it. I'm sure any berry lipstick/gloss would work well to make this color!

I'm off to go have a girl's night in with my best friend. We bought special desserts at the Fresh Market, doing pedicures, facials, and  watching movies. Should be a blast!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Sunset Boulevard- Makeup of the Day

Hello fashionistas!
Today I did a sunset inspired makeup and remembered to take pictures to share with you all.
I used my new Too Faced Summer Eye palette for some of this. Overall, I definitely like the Romantic Eye palette better. I think the quality of the shadows is better, some of the Summer Eye shades aren't as pigmented/become muddy when you blend.

Here are the products I used on my eyes.

Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Melon pigment all over
Too Faced Summer Eye palette's Coral Crush in my outer corner/crease
Urban Decay Naked 2 Half Baked in the center/blended into the Coral Crush
Urban Decay Bootycall as my highlight
Too Faced Summer Eye palette's Toasted Coconut as my eyeliner
Covergirl Lashblast mascara top and bottom
Urban Decay Naked to fill in my eyebrows a  bit

Full face shot. I used my favorite blusher ever, Nars' Orgasm. I am sporting a nice all over tan because of the recent beach trips I've taken! I went Sunday morning/afternoon with the boyfriend and again with him yesterday after school. It was really fun. Anyways, that's the whole reason I'm tan again.

To keep with the sunset theme I put on Kate Moss' Rimmel London #12 lipstick with Palladio Herbal Liplicious lipgloss in Apricot over it to tone down the the coral.

Today I took my first AICE english paper and it went relatively well. I definitely passed it.
Tomorrow is pre-AICE history and this doesn't count for college credit. Should do okay on it.
I'm off to study with my best friend. After that we're going out to dinner.

Have a fabulous day!

April Favorites.

Hello fashionistas!
I decided to finally get around to posting about my favorite beauty products in April.
I kept everything very natural and simple last month.

Left to right:
Neutrogena Rapid Clear on the spot acne treatment, Nars Orgasm blush, ELF Candy Shop lip gloss in Cherry Bomb, Covergirl Lashblast Waterproof mascara, Korres Pomegranate lip butter, Michael Kors Very HollyWood lipgloss and perfume duo/rollerball, and Rimmel London eyebrow pencil in Hazel

Rimmel London eye pencil swatch, Nars Orgasm (one very sheer swatch, sorry!), Very HollyWood lip gloss (no name), Korres Pomegranate lip butter, and ELF Cherry Bomb lip gloss.

I haven't felt like getting super primped before school, so this has been my go-to face for the past month! I also like that it allows me to sleep in more. Gotta love extra sleep time! I've been very into a glowing pink cheek with Nars' Orgasm blush (best blush EVER), defined brows, two layers of waterproof mascara, and a pink/peach/or subtly red glossy lip. I can't believe that the ELF lip gloss is only a dollar. It delivers a nice red pigment, isn't sticky, nor does it have a gross scent.

The Neutrogena Rapid Clear gel has been a long time favorite, but especially last month. It helped clear up any little blemishes I had forming.
I love my rollerball of Michael Kors' Very Hollywood, it's always nice to have in my bag when I've forgotten perfume or just need to reapply.

Wednesday and Thursday I have big AICE tests (the academic program I'm in). Wednesday counts for actual college credit, Thursday is just a history place marking test. Wish me luck!

Have a fabulous week!

Small Sephora Haul!

Hello fashionistas!
I did a little Sephora hauling tonight and wanted to share it with you all.

While I was shopping about I was trying to decide whether I was going to purchase the Too Faced Summer Eye palette or Nars' Orgasm Illuminator. The saleswoman made my life easier and gave me a sample of the illuminator and told me that they weren't going to receive anymore of the palettes. I instantly knew that I had to buy the palette right then and there. Seriously, I've been dying for them to get this bad boy in stores!
#Makeupaddict.
Anyways, along with the palette I picked up one of Sephora's nano lip liner pencils in #17 Funky Fuschia.

How gorgeous? SO GORGEOUS. Can't wait to play around with this. Definitely be expecting a review sometime this week. Sorry, I know you guys are probably annoyed with my lack of swatches, but I didn't want to write up a mini review before I get to experiment.

Funky Fuschia is a really bright pink liner. I will probably use this all over my lips instead of just lining them. If I added a clear gloss on top it would be a nice pop of pink. For $5 you really can't go wrong with these.

Have a great weekend!

Loads of love!
