FRAAS Holiday Metallic Scarf Review

The wonderful FRAAS scarf company recently sent me a lovely metallic scarf for the fall. 

I absolutely love this scarf. I'm not normally a fan of zebra print, but the fabric and colors used heighten the pattern to be so much more than just a zebra print. The golds and bronzes are very rich and luxurious colors.  

This scarf is HUGE. Not only could it be used to keep your neck warm, but you could also wrap it around yourself for a shawl. This would be a cute shawl with a little black dress. 

360528 is the Metallic Zebra style. Its pretty use of metallic yarns (mixed with acrylic and viscose) combines with the always popular animal print, to create a 12x80 inch accessory that works beautifully as both a wrap and scarf.  Three color ways are featured including a black combo, as well as gold and silver.  Great for dress up, special occasions' or just for fun, it retails for $35.

GE Reveal Lightbulb Makeover and Review

Today I have a wonderful product from GE to review for you all. They are the GE Reveal light bulbs! 

LED light bulb are part of the GE reveal® brand, engineered to have the same familiar size and shape of an incandescent bulb, but deliver a color-enhanced spectrum of light. By January 2014, standard incandescent light bulbs of 40 watts and above will no longer be sold in the United States due to their energy inefficiency and changing energy regulations. The new GE reveal® LED will be a great alternative to incandescent bulbs, in addition to various other energy-efficient light bulbs that GE already currently offers.

My old light bulbs were a bit yellow and dingy. It was difficult to apply any makeup in my bathroom because they lighting was so poor. Colors were not accurate and it was very hard to see what needed more blending or more product.

I was recently sent a wool headband from the New Scala Collezione Headband collection and I wanted to review it. All opinions expressed are my own, I would never promote a product that I do not actually enjoy. 

Most people associate wool with itchy, scratchy material, but this headband is the exact opposite! The headband is soft because they boil the wool. The process is even good for the environment!

Fall FRAAS Scarf Review

I recently received a new scarf from the lovely people at FRAAS to review. I have been hoarding it away for the past couple of weeks because I wanted to wear it when it got a little cooler!

*I'm aware that I wore a very similar outfit two weeks ago! Jeans, cardigans, scarves, and flats are great fall outfits because they look like you put more effort in than you actually put in!

This style is 060607 is an ideal style to celebrate the new Fall season. It reverses so that two distinctive looks are possible and comes in four flattering shades, petrol, dark red, purple and black. It is a super-soft mix of viscose and acrylic and 14 x72 inches. It is priced at an affordable $40, it is an excellent style for gifting or self purchase.

Here are the other colors that the scarf comes in. 

My favorite thing about this scarf is that it has two patterns! We all know how much I love my polka dots and stripes. The versatility means that you can sneakily wear this scarf over and over! The rich autumnal red will work perfectly for this fall weather. I love the soft material that this scarf is made out of because it keeps me warm and toasty. These scarves would provide a lovely pop of color with a neutral jacket or coat for the upcoming colder winter weather.

The Skin Regime Review and Giveaway!

I read her book which is aptly title The Skin Regime: Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin.

I realized how LITTLE I truly knew about the skin myths and common mistakes that many people make. Learning how to treat my skin and train my skin to be better really has made a difference in the overall appearance of my skin. I had never been exposed to any peels before and was a bit nervous about using one. Dana's book explains step by step the process of using the peel and made me feel comfortable about using one. I applied the peel and I had no issues with it. I woke up the next day to brighter skin than I had gone to bed with! 

I really think that you should read this book to find out how to properly treat you skin. Don't waste a ton of money on expensive products that are only a fraction of the key ingredients to make positive changes to your skin. Check out Dana's book for the truth behind skincare!

Flour Sack Creations Mineral Blush in Rose Review

Hello my fashionistas!

I have not whipped out a beauty post in eons and I feel that it is definitely time to do a beauty review post. I recently picked up this blush at our local farmers market.

The brand is called Flour Sack Creations and they make a wide variety of bath products (soaps, lotions, fragrances, etc) and mineral makeup. I decided to buy this beautiful blush in the shade Rose because it reminded me of Nars' Orgasm blush and was less than a third of the price! At only $10 it was such a bargain because it has so much product that I don't think I will ever be able to use it all. 

The top swatch is the blush unblended and the lower swatch is the blush blended. I'm very very very impressed with the quality and longevity of the blush. I put this on this morning, went out to breakfast, had my nails done, went to the gym and it was still there! I was surprised that it was still on my face after my sweat fest at the gym!

Emjoi Micro-Pedi Device and Attachments Review!

I'm really excited to review the Emjoi Micro-Pedi device and attachments for you all! 

When I was initially offered to try this product to review I was skeptical of how "life changing" it really would be. I have always suffered from nasty callouses and overbearing cuticles, but this product truly has helped my feet look beaaaautiful! 

Living in good old Florida means that sandal ''season' is 9-10 months out of the year. I've tried other products to tame the toes and feet (pedi-egg, graters, pumice stones, etc.), but nothing has been as effortlessly easy as the Emjoi Micro-Pedi device. This also came with smaller attachments that could remove any callouses between your toes. This product is one of the most user friendly products I have ever tried. All you have to do is pop in two double A batteries and flip the switch on. I was filled with a little trepidation about putting this on my feet because I am very ticklish, but this did not tickle my feet at all. I felt like a light foot fairy was removing the nastiness on my feet.  Or a really great device- same thing, right? Make sure to use this device with your foot over a trashcan or your tub to avoid any mess. 

Just tackling those craaaazy cuticles! 

I tested out the manicure attachments on my little sister's hands. One thing you should note about my sister is that she is the antithesis of my girly girl personality; she does not like a bunch of makeup, fancy clothing, or treating herself to manicures. I sat her down and tried out the attachments on her very overgrown cuticles and polished her nails to a high shine with the buffer attachments. There is even an emery board attachment to help file your nails down. Her nails looked really good afterwards and just like she had gotten them professionally done! 

I believe that this product is going to save me a ton of money that I would normally spend at the salon getting my manicures and pedicures. For only $39.95 you can purchase the Emjoi Micro-Pedi device right here.

Living in Florida requires a girl to protect herself from the intense heat and this fabulous floppy hat is the perfect accessory to save my skin. May is Melanoma awareness month and it is something that really should be brought to everyone's attention. 1 in 5 Americans will have some form of skin cancer in their lifetime. Sometimes SPF isn't enough, so protecting your skin with a wide brimmed hat is an easy way to stay safe and look fashionable at the same time. 

The LP 157 hat is available in natural with four different band options; you can either order the black, tea, turquoise, or fuschia. I have the fuschia hat because what girl doesn't love to don pink? I love the bow in the back, super cute! 

I will definitely be packing this hat to bring with me on my summer vacation to the Virgin Islands/St. John.

Fraas Mystical Scarf Review and Outfit of the Day

Spring is here and with it comes warmer temps, lighter colors, and open toed shoes! 

I have a wonderful scarf from Fraas to share with you all. It is called the Mystical Water scarf.

Yes, I was sent this to consider for review, but that would never alter my opinion.

Excuse the fact that these pictures were taken in my pottery room. This is where we take pictures of our pieces. The white specks all over the background is clay dust, the usual.

I wanted to show you guys how the scarf could make a simple tee shirt really pop and that you could pair it with a dressier blazer. This scarf is extremely versatile; I have about ten outfits that could be worn with it in mind! The colors are so beautiful and bright. I love the way the blues swirl together with the lavender. If blues and purples aren't your thing, the scarf comes in a coral shade. Also, this scarf is incredibly soft, I just want to snuggle with it.. Is that weird? When I wore this to school I received a ton of compliments. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a spring scarf. 

I played with the cool shades in this scarf by pairing a blue toned pink lipstick with it, MAC Speed Dial. 

The Mystical Waters scarf is a beautiful, "over-sized printed scarf that measures 40x72 inches which means that it can be worn as a wrap or a scarf. It retails for $48 and is available in beautiful vibrant turquoise and coral."

Today I wanted to share a super chic hair accessory with you all.

They are from Dorfman Pacific and they are the cutest fascinator headbands ever.

The Scala Collezione Collection is one of Dorfman Pacific's most popular brands.  It features more than 50 formal looks retailing from  $30 up to about $150 for a very involved Sinamay style with a seven inch brim, netting and dyed to match feathers (and over $200 for a fascinator decorated with a butterfly motif and silk flowers in a 22 inch diameter!). Flowers, bows, ruffles and/or feathers adorn each style in stunning, eye catching intricate designs. All fascinators are individually boxed to protect the fine workmanship. Kushyfoot Leopard Print Flats to Go and Slipper Socks Review

Hello fashionistas! Tonight I have some adorable Kushyfoot products to share with you all! 

I was recently sent these and have been wanting to review them for you all. All opinions are 100% my own. 

These are the Fall Leopard Print Flats to Go they are perfect to slip into after strutting around in killer high heels. The leopard is tres chic and very soft. The bottoms are comfortable to walk around in; they are not made of the strongest material, but they are sturdy enough to slip into for a few hours. I like that these add a nice pop of pattern to any outfit. It helps keep you looking fabulous even after you have to take off your original (painful!) shoes. 

 The Flats To Go come in sizes are 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10 with a suggested retail price of $9.99 per which. The ballet flats have been rescuing sore feet and acting as emergency footwear for a few years now. 

I am normally anti socks, but I actually really love these slipper socks. They are not too thick and they are very soft. I also like the no slip grip. The colors are good for any girly-girl. 

For those times indoors where full-out slippers feel too much, but a bare foot feels just too naked, Kushyfoot Slipper Socks (3626 in black/lavender) are the ideal answer. First of all, I absolutely love the packaging. The boxes have a clean styling to them with calming colors. 

I also love the product's design. I really like when products have pumps instead of having to squeeze the bottles, it makes them very user friendly. I also really enjoy the chic frosted bottles. 

Evologie Stay Clear Cleanser, Evologie Stay Clear Cream, and Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum. 

The first product I want to talk about is the Evologie Stay Clear Cleanser.

I found that the cleanser left my skin feeling very clean and very refreshed. I felt like it really removed all the makeup and grime from my pores. I also quite enjoyed the chamomile and honey scent that the cleanser had, it smelled very calming. I did not feel like the cleanser stripped my face of it's natural oils at all. 

The next product I used was the Evologie Stay Clear Cream.

I felt that the cream (which is a moisturizer) didn't really completely sink into my face. I liked it, but I did find myself using a few more pumps of this than I thought I would have to really feel hydrated. 

I did like the scent of this, which I think is really important when using a moisturizer because it will be staying on your face! 

The final product I used was the Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum.

I thoroughly enjoyed this product!  I found that it kept my skin remarkably breakout free. It really reduced the redness of the stubborn spots and helped clear up potential spots before they became full blown spots.

Overall, I really enjoyed this skincare line. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with the occasional spots or full blown breakouts.

Marika Venus Crew Neck Dy Wick Short Sleeve Tee Review and Coupon Code

Hello fashionistas!

Today I have another fabulous Marika product to review for you all. 

Yes, this product was sent to me to consider for review, but all opinions are my own. 

This shirt is called the Marika Venus Crew Neck Dry Wick Short Sleeve Tee.

The Marika® Tek line "offers an EXCLUSIVE breathable, super soft, high tech wicking fabric and finish (Dry-Wik®) for the ultimate in cool dry comfort. The Dry-Wik®) technology wicks away moisture, making for an enjoyable workout." 

This shirt is a more tight fitting workout top, so if you like looser shirts to work out in I would order a size larger than normal. The colors that it is available in are Fandango Pink and Ultra Violet (the color I received). I really loved that the stitching on the shirt was in contrasting colors. 

The shirt is made with 70% polyester and 30% poly rayon. 

Living in Florida and working out outside equals a lot of sweating, so I was very impressed that when I came in from working out that this shirt was not soaking wet with sweat. The shirt actually wicked away the sweat! I paired this with their Marika Slimming Pant Capri and it was a  slimming workout ensemble.

Overall I feel that this shirt definitely delivers on what it says it does. I would recommend that if you're in the market for a fashionable workout shirt that you should check this out.
