Hello my fabulous fashionistas.
I think I owe you guys an explanation for my disappearing act.
I've had a lot of personal stuff going on and I physically could not juggle blogging and my life at the same time. I normally do not get extremely personal on here, but I really have no shame in what I'm about to tell you all.
The guy I spent the better half of a year with decided to call it quits on me. I did not really get the memo that anything was wrong until it happened. Needless to say I was very surprised and upset. I literally did not wear any eyeshadow or lipstick for a week (GASP WHO AM I?)!
I'm not going to lie and say that I'm 100 % a-okay because I'm not. I'm human and sometimes we need a little bit more than a few days to heal. I have a really hard time trusting people and not building up walls to protect myself. This time my walls were down and I did get hurt. I'm feeling better about everything. I'm also back to my eyeshadow and lipstick ways; I just bought the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette.
I cannot say that I'm mad about the whole ordeal because that would be like saying I never truly cared about the relationship. I cared a lot. Sometimes you have to let your guard down and take a chance. And a lot of the time you realize that you are going to have to take many many many more risks. The greatest risk in life is showing someone who you are.
Anyways, enough about my lack of a love life.
Here's what I wore today.
Top: Loft Jeans: Kohl's Jacket: Jones New York Shoes: Nine West Earrings: Mom's
I've had this Loft bejeweled collar shirt for a few months and somehow it never appeared on here!
I adore this shirt because of the effortless chicness the collar has. I also like the soft cream color. I have a feeling that this top will look great against a tan in the spring. I paired it with a cuffed jean and wide t-strap heels. The jacket was just a throw on because it was chilly.
I used the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette for the first time today and I really like it!
I have a feeling that the shade Naked 2 will be my new favorite. I wore a red berry colored lip that was a creation from a few different lip products.
Also, I got a haircut on Friday. Just 2 inches chopped off and some bangs (which are shorter than they are appearing here because they blended into the rest of my hair). I needed a change.
I'm off to go finish some school work- I have a few tests tomorrow. Gotta hit them books. #nerd.
Hope you're all well, I promise not to drop off the face of the earth again.
I will also have a review up for a fabulous Dorfman Pacific product later this week.
Loads of love.
