Last Minute Halloween Outfit Inspiration

Hello fashionistas!
This week has been our homecoming week and today was "Decades Day". I decided to channel my inner 80's diva and got all glammed up this morning. I think that the 80's look is a great last minute option for Halloween!

Dress: New York and Co. Leggings: Target Leg warmers: Target Shoes: Target Earrings: New York and Co. Bracelets: Forever 21 Sports bra: Marshalls

I decided to just throw on a slouchy dress that has a sequined shoulder. I wore a pink sports bra underneath my dress because I wanted to make it one shoulder-esque for the pink to peek out. I made a last minute target run yesterday to pick up leggings and "leg warmers". I could not find any leg warmers that I liked, so I bought fuzzy socks and cut the toe part off. I paired my old cheetah heels with the whole look for a pop of pattern. Clunky earrings and a few bangles completed my look. I made sure to stay in a similar color scheme because I did not want to look really crazy, but feel free to play with colors!

I was not sure what I wanted to do with my makeup, but I pulled up some pictures last night for some last minute inspiration. I loved the pink/purple eyes in the first picture and the pink-red lips in the last picture.

Cue my stupid selfie that was sent to a friend this morning. I loaded my cheeks up with blush and did heavy pink/purple eye makeup. I used the Mariposa palette by Urban Decay for most of my eye makeup. I decided I needed a pink lip to tie the whole face together and used Wet n' Wild Mega Last lipstick in Don't Blink Pink.

I curled my hair and then I took the top layer and teased it. I then took the top layer and put it up with a scrunchie. Scrunchies, ugh, I shudder.

Anyways, I hope this helps for anyone looking for an easy, last minute Halloween costume! I had almost everything in my closet and just threw it all together.

Loads of love!

Stripes and Boots

Hello fashionistas!
I have been wanting to post, but my laptop has a crazy virus on it. I'm using the computer in our office to whip out a quick post before I go get ready for school. Based on this outfit can you tell that I am pumped for fall?! Fall is perfect because it is no longer 95 degrees and 100% humidity in Florida! The high for this weekend is supposed to be 80 degrees, woohoo!

Shirt: American Eagle Jeans: Sevens (Marshalls) Boots: Kohls Necklace: Charlotte Russe Earrings: Forever 21

The day before I wore this was incredibly rainy and I wanted my feet to be warm if it rained again, hence the boots. My planning did nothing for me because although there was a "70% chance of rain" it did not rain. At all. Oh well, at least I got to dabble in fall clothing. I'm loving girly stripes with dainty pearls. Feels very southern belle to me.

Honestly I do not recall what lipstick combo I have on here. I know I have Maybelline Falsies mascara on and Sephora Nano eyeliner in Iced Mocha on with Urban Decay Snakebite shadow on the outer edge of my lower lashline. The hair is au-naturale. I did not want to put much effort into it because I thought it was going to rain. Thanks a million weatherman..

Can I get a holllaaaa for the fact that it is Friday? This has been the never ending week!
Tonight my girls and I are going to a gym class and then having a little trio sleepover.
Alright, I'm off to get ready. I have two tests today that I do not want to be late for.

Loads of love!

A Touch of Lace

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share an outfit of the day with you all.

Top: H&M Blazer: Forever 21 Jeans: Sevens (Marhsalls) Shoes: Target Bracelets: Lia Sophia and the pink was a present Earrings: St. John

I found this top when I was back to school shopping and I knew I had to have it. It is really comfortable, but it has an added level of interest with the lace. I think it does "revealing" in a very modest, unexpected way. I added the blazer because the lace continues to the shoulder area and I did not want to possibly get dress coded! I paired these flats with the outfit for a different color and a pop of pattern. I went for a mini arm party with the two bracelets I had on.

I quickly curled my hair and ran my fingers through it to have a tousled look. I added a few coats of mascara to my lashes and a warm mocha liner to my lower lashline. My lipstick is by Milani and is in the shade Berry Rich. The last photo makes it look more red, but it is definitely more berry!

I spent the morning at a yoga class with my best friend. I then grabbed coffee with my mom, then we went for manicures and pedicures. I'm spending my Saturday night in! The past weekends have been crazy and I'm ready to relax.

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Wishing For Fall

Hello fashionistas!
I'm sharing the ensemble I wore to school today with you all.
I woke up and it was raining and this made me want to curl up in a cozy sweater.
I demand autumnal weather!

Sweater: Kohl's Tank-top: Old Navy Jeans: Sevens (Marshalls) Scarf: Fraas Shoes: DSW Earrings: Claire's Ring: Diamond Candle (review coming soon!)

The idea behind this outfit was to be comfortable! These jeans are my faaaavorite jeans. Incredibly comfortable and the fit is really nice. I paired this chunky knit sweater with the scarf to have texture and pattern. The flats I have on are the ones from my last post. The subtle texture adds a special touch to the look.

Sorry for these pictures being taken inside; I could not bear the idea of taking them on my front porch with the intense Florida rain induced humidity. I went for a berry lip by using Hourglass' Nocturnal lipstick and putting a light layer of Revlon's Lilac Pastelle lipgloss on top. The hair had minimal effort put into it because I did not want it to deflate from the humidity.

I'm ready for it to be fall! Bring on the curly hair, chunky sweaters, and boots!
I am off to the gym to go to spin class. I hope you all are having a great night!

Flirty Floral

Hello fashionistas!
I am currently in that awkward between sizes stage and my good friend gave me a few pairs of pants to get through the next couple of weeks. Gotta love clothing swaps! I'm hoping to be down another size in another month. Anyways, these are one of the pairs of pants from my friend (thanks girly!).
Can we just get a holla for how much I have been loving floral pants these past couple of months?

Shirt: New York and Company Pants: Gap Shoes: Kohl's Earrings: Forever 21 Bracelet: New York and Company

This outfit is actually really similar to my first day of school ensemble, but I added a twist with these navy floral pants. I feel like the navy makes the floral wearable during the fall as well as summer. I went with a classic white button down to contrast with the darker pants.

Up close shot of the pants.

I woke up to a pretty decent hair day, so I kept it au naturale. I added Sephora Iced Mocha nano eyeliner to my lower lashline. My lipstick is Korres liquid lipstick in Raspberry. My nail color is Essie Go Overboard and I'm loving it for fall. My heart is all ready for fall, but the Florida weather has not gotten there yet!

I'm exhausted because I did a spin class tonight after helping a friend studying for an exam. I've been a little under the weather this week, so I'm hoping an good night of sleep will make me feel better.

Loads of love!

Jazzed Up Basics

Hello fashionistas!
I am here with an outfit that I wore to school last week. I was very comfortable in my simple, jazzed up basics.

Tank top, skirt, and jean jacket: Kohl's Shoes: Christian Siriano for Payless Necklace: Lia Sophia Earrings: Gift Bracelet: Vintage Toe nail polish: OPI You Don't Know Jacques

I did not realize that my all my clothing was from Kohl's! I guess you could say I like Kohl's a lot..
This skirt is the perfect skirt because it is form fitting, but comfortable. It reminds me of a skirt version of yoga pants. I paired it with a black tank top to balance out the light oatmeal color of the skirt. The jean jacket added a laid back vibe to the whole look. I added a much need dosage of pattern in with my tribal print wedges and a color with my beaded necklace. And by my beaded necklace I mean my mom's beaded necklace. (;

I threw some curls into my hair and then I ran my fingers through it to give my hair relaxed waves. I kept my makeup super simple with basic face products, mascara, and lipgloss. I think I am going to do a 5 minute face kind of post soon!

I'm exhausted from this busy Tuesday. I woke up at 6:30 and biked 10 miles. After that I showered and got ready for school. I did the whole school thing (easy day) and took a test in my environmental management class. Post school I headed home, changed my clothes, and grabbed a vase that I was submitting to be in a gallery show. I left to go submit my piece (which was accepted, yeyyyyyy)! Then I went over to my best friend's house. We went to a relaxing yoga session and then I came home. Today was nonstop action, but very productive!

I hope you guys had a great day!

Loads of love!

Snapshots and Snippets of Life

Hello fashionistas!
This is kind of a random hodge podge post. I just wanted to share some pictures and show what has been going on in my life for the past few days.

My girl Alonna and I participated in Maxi Monday. We chucked the deuces in the air for a quick photo. Love this girl!

Can we all just agree that the N'Sync reunion and Justin Timberlake performance was the best part of the VMAs? Yes, thanks.

I did Lily's hair and makeup for her senior pictures. I did a slightly purple smoked out eye to help bring out her green/blue eyes. She had worn her hair in a top knot to go to sleep in because it normally makes her curls really defined, but it was really frizzy. I plugged my curling iron in and gave her soft curls.

I woke up the other morning and witnessed my cat being adorably lazy on one of the chairs. Java likes to sleep all day and party all night.

Can we discuss how fabulous Oscar de la Renta ad in Vogue is? I'm loving this year's September Vouge issue. It is amazing.

I'm off to go finish some schoolwork and hang with the best friend.
Loads of love!

Preppy Polka Dot Ensemble

Hello fashionistas!
I am here with another outfit of the day. I wore this to school for the second day of classes.

Dress: H&M Cardigan: Loft Necklace: Loft Outlet Shoes: Payless Headband: Forever 21 Pearl Earrings: from the island of St. John

If you have been reading my site for awhile you would know that I am a huge sucker for anything with polka dots! When I found this dress I knew that I had to buy it. I wanted to add a pop of color with my coral-pink cardigan. I went with black wedges to match with the dress. I paired the whole outfit with a chunky necklace for a statement piece.

I feel like my face looks awkward here!

I kept my makeup basic (again) with a light eye and pink lip. I am wearing Korres Pomegranate lip butter. I was going to wear my hair down, but I decided that I would be way too warm, hence the ponytail.

Jenna and I were somewhat twinning with dresses and cardigans.

Alright, I'm off to go get ready for school.  I have a test first period. Wish me luck!
Have a fab day!

First Day of Senior Year Outfit

Hello fashionistas!
My first day of school was yesterday and I wanted to share what I wore with you all.
I cannot believe that it is already SENIOR year. Where did the time go?! I made this blog and used my high school graduating year in the title because it seemed SO FAR AWAY. Now it is literally just around the corner.

Anyways, gettin' all sentimental up in here, time for my outfit.

Top: New York and Company Tank-top: Aeropostale Jeans: Old Navy Shoes and bracelets: Kohl's Bag: Steve Madden (Marshalls) Earrings: New York and Company Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

I was going for a preppy look. I think preppy chic would be a good way to describe my style.
I did not want to appear to be trying too hard, so I went for a classic white button up paired with dark wash skinny jeans. The coral flats added a nice pop of color. I mixed metals by wearing gold bangles with pink and purple gems with my silver Tiffany necklace and silver earrings.

I love love love this new bag. I needed a new one because my Jessica Simpson was starting to look really worn. I like the chains and the fact that it has pockets on the outside. I plan on doing a "what's in my bag" post soon!

I did a very light cream and brown eye to accentuate my blue eyes. I mixed Korre's Pomegranate lip butter and their Raspberry liquid lipstick. I knew I would be warm on the first day, so I spin pinned my hair into a bun. I ended up being glad I went for an updo because it was very very very warm in sunny FL.

The best friend, Lily, and I posing for our mommas. SO GLAD TO HAVE MY BEST FRIEND HOME FOR SENIOR YEAR. We have lunch together, but no classes. Infinitely better than when she was almost 500 miles away. Perspective people, perspective.

My schedule seems to be a good one. I'm taking a pretty easy senior year, only 4 college classes. The rest are electives. And technically one of my college classes is pottery. I'm glad I pushed myself last year and took a bunch of college classes. I ended up passing all of my exams (we found out last week). Which means in total I have received 6 college credits!

Anyways, hope you all had a good first day back if you are back in school! Or just a fabulous day in general.

Loads of love!

Back to School Shopping

Hello fashionistas!
Last week I tweeted that I had a very successful day of shopping and I thought that I would share what I purchased with you all!

I bought these from Forever 21. The top was on sale for only $12. I love the gem peter pan color! All of my blazers/jackets are way too big, so I bought one to layer over sleeveless tops/dresses. Oh and anything else I want to layer it with (;

I bought this cardigan at the Loft. The Loft is my favorite store ever. I love this coral-pink color and the best part was that it was on major sale for $12.

These items are from H&M. I couldn't pass up on a cute abstract polka dot dress. The olive green and lace top compimented my skin tone well, so I had to buy it! I picked up another black tee shirt (you can't tell from the picture, but there is a little square pocket on it).

via
I actually bought this top in hot pink, but the website did not have it! I would have photographed the top, but it is very wrinkly from being in the bag.

via

I bought these jeans from Old Navy for a mere $19! They are the "Sweetheart" jeans and they are fuller in the thighs and smaller in the waist. They were a perfect fit!

The flats to the left are from Target (clearance section, baby) and the flats on the left are Rock & Republic for Kohl's. These were also on sale.

I redeemed my fragrance sampler deal for Warm Cotton by Clean. I love this scent; it is super crisp and refreshing. I decided that I should stop borrowing my mom's BareMinerals Faux Tan and buy my own! This bronzer gives the most natural finish I have ever found! I highly recommend it.

Have you guys bought any new clothes or beauty products lately?
I am not ready for school to start on Monday. Can it just be summer forever?
Alright, I have to go work on my current mission.. AKA finish my last essay for school.

Stripes, Please.

Hello fashionistas!
I know it is rare for me to be posting during the week (this last semester of school has been craaaazy), but I wanted to share an outfit that I wore to school this week.

Top: Loft Tank-top: Forever 21 Pants: Gloria Vanderbilt Shoes: Target Earrings: Kohl's Watch: Avenue

I wanted to wear the new top that I bought with my favorite black pants. The stripes and sheer fabric bring an airy quality that I wanted to balance out with edgier, gladiator cage style heels. I tied in edgy earrings in a metal teardrop shape that were contrasted with a white watch. White and black is a big trend for spring, so I wanted to dabble in it. This shade of purple is something that I want more of in my closet!

I added some loose waves to my hair with a mini straightening iron. I flipped my hair upside down and gave a big spritz of hairspray. I was in the mood for casual, voluminous hair.
I kept the makeup minimal with a pop of pink on my lips. I used Sephora's nano lip liner in Funky Fuschia with Korres lip butter in Wild Rose for a glossy finish.

Today was a pretty good day (except for the fact that it has POURED ALL DAY). School was busy, I aced a pre-calculus test, did a glaze tester for a pottery project, and more school activities. The year is winding down, but AICE exams are just starting up. AICE exams are college level exams that we receive credit for if we pass. The pressure is on! I'm taking the SAT this Saturday (SAT on Sat..), should be 'fun'.

Thank god it's almost Friday!

Life Update

Hello fashionistas!
I'm not really in an outfit posting mood today, so you're getting a life update.

I finished my pottery project that I showed you guys in this post .
I'm going to use this for the art show that a local gallery does with the high schools in our county ever year.

Beaded black tops for the win.

Friday night my friends and I decided to have a little GNO (girl's night out). We went out for dessert and played pool. Followed by a sleepover. The next night we had another sleepover and went out for sushi. We had a really fab weekend.

I snapped pics of my two silly pets this weekend. My cat, Java, decided to drink right out of glass full of water. He is ridiculous, his water bowl was maybe 50 feet away.
My dog, Colby, sleeps with all of his paws straight up in the air. I love that crazy boy!

This is my current pottery project that I'm working on. The whole project will have the carved out lines like the top. The blue you see is a transfer ink paper that has a seashell pattern on it.

I'm off to the gym with my friend. Hope all is going well with you guys!
Loads of love!
