Couture Makeup Look

Hello fashionistas!
The other night I was looking at different couture photos from various fashion shows.
I love couture because it's fashion designers saying "Hey, I've made it big and I can do whatever the heck I want."
Couture makeup allows makeup artists to let their creativity flow freely. Anyways, I was looking at these photos and my creativity was flowing and decided to go play with my makeup.

It's definitely not something I would wear in real life.

Sorry for the not so great photoshop job on my background. My sister's desk was a mess and I just wanted you guys to see my makeup

Eyes

Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my lid and underneath my eye
Urban Decay "Haight" eyeshadow all over my lid and under it
The Balm and the Beautiful "The Mother in Law" in my crease, up to my brow line, and in my outer corner
Urban Decay Naked 2 "Blackout" as liner
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in "Zero" in my water line
I used a random silver from a Flirt palette to blend out the blue under my eye socket
2 coats of Covergirl's Lashblast mascara

Lips

MAC Speed Dial lipstick
The random silver from the Flirt palette to make Speed Dial more of a frost color all over my lips

Face

Benefit Boi-ing concealer
Maybelline Pure Stay Powder foundation
(I really wanted to keep my face clean and simple)

Eyebrows

New York Color (NYC) eyeliner in "Taupe"

I wasn't sure what to do with my hair, so I teased parts of it and pulled it all back in a sort of up-do. It's really short!

This picture inspired me to do this makeup look. I seriously love couture makeup. It's certifiably crazy, but totally gorgeous! All normal makeup laws are defied and you can do whatever you want.

I think I'm going to keep experimenting in crazy, couture makeup.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

  1. I love it! Blue is so flattering on you, urban decay has great pigmentation. I also experimented with dramatic couture eyes a while back in similar fashion here: http://imjustdaisy.blogspot.com/2011/01/color-me-hawaiin.html

Hehe I swear we are connected. You look gorgeous girly
