Recently Purchased Makeup Swatches

Hello fashionistas!

As promised, here are the swatches of all my recently purchased beauty goodies!

Hard Candy Fox in a Box blush in Hot Flash

Stila convertible color (can be used as a creme blush or on your lips) in Lillium
Please excuse my top in the mirror, I hate when I take a picture of products with mirrors and I end up in it. Sorry!

Left to right:
Hot Flash all blended together, lower left corner of Hot Flash, upper left corner, lower right corner, upper right corner, Lillium unblended, blended.
I'm sorry these aren't the best swatch pictures, my camera is not good at focusing. Annoying.

Stila long wear lip liners in Devoted (left) and Delighted (right).
Delighted on top, devoted on bottom. I like devoted better because it's pinker.

Wet n' Wild palette in Comfort Zone.
This is the left side of the palette, the top has no base and the bottom has Urban Decay's primer potion underneath it. I'm incredibly impressed with this palette!

This is the right side of the palette (not that you couldn't have guess that that was coming)! Again the top has no base, and the bottom has Urban Decay's primer potion underneath it.
Again, the pigmentation leaves me dumbfounded! I paid a whopping $3.99 for this, the quality is crazy good!
The last color has a duochrome finish, which I thought I was able to capture in the pictures above. It can show up as blue, brown, and red. It's a beautiful color. If you should buy one thing out of everything I've swatched, this is it.

Stila duo eyeshadows in Burgundy and Seashell.
Again, my camera wasn't focusing, sorry this isn't a very sharp image.
The top has no primer (left burgundy, right seashell). The bottom has Urban Decay's primer potion underneath it. Seashell is a pretty warm, shimmery pink. Burgundy is a deep, shimmering brown. They work well together.

We finally have our room put together (for the most part). My desk has been ordered, and so have the duvet covers. I hope it gets here before we leave for vacation! I'm am dying to show you guys, but I don't want to to do it until it's all here. You guys will love it!

If you all want to see any looks with these products, let me know, I'm more than happy to do it!

Have a great holiday weekend!

Recently Purchased Makeup

Hello fashionistas,
Here are a couple of things I picked up last week.
I seriously need to stop shopping.

I bought this at Costco for a mere $10! Stila is one of my favorite brands (if not all time favorite), so when I saw this I jumped on it. The convertible color on its own is $20, so this was a mega steal.

Wet n' Wild palette in Comfort Zone and Hard Candy Fox in a Box blush in Hot Flash.

If you guys want to see swatches of anything (or everything), let me know in the comments below and I'll get right on it.

I've had a very lazy day. I finished a book, did some laundry, took a bubble bath. That was about it.
What have you all been up to?

December Favorites

Hey fashionistas!
I decided that it was about time to do my December favorites, kind of sad this is my last favorites of 2010.

Anyways, on to my favorites. Not too many things this month, kind of stuck with the same stuff. When I was sick I didn't wear any makeup so, not a whole lot of variety.

L-R
Essence blush in 01 'Almost Famous' ♥
Wet n' Wild 'Vanity' palette ♥
Urban Decay 'Baked' pigment ♥
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil 'Yogurt' ♥
Maybelline Dream Mouse Concealer 'Ivory' ♥

The blush is a peachy pink with subtle shimmer, it's quite a nice flush of color for the cheeks.

Ever since I bought the Wet n' Wild Vanity palette in the beginning of December I've been using it nonstop! The pigmentation is amazing, and all the colors work really well together. My favorites are the 2 top ones on the left side and the bottom one of the right side.

The Urban Decay pigment is a nice bit of shimmer for the eyes. My only complaint is that it is kind of messy.

The NYX pencil is not only a great base but, I also love putting it in the inner corner of my eye for an eye brightener.

I didn't love the concealer at first, but now I really like it. It works quite well to cover blemishes and under eye circles.

Secret Scent Expressions deodorant 'Cocoa Butter Kiss' ♥
Triple Body Cream 'Japanese Cherry Blossom♥

I know what you're thinking "deodorant?" but, yes deodorant! I had started using Secret with Olay in it a couple of months ago but when I went to repurchase it it was gone! They stopped selling it, major bummer. It lasted all day, so I switched to just original scent and I didn't love it but the other day I was out and my mom picked this up and I love it! It lasts literally all day and smells really good! Seriously if you are in need of a new deodorant you should pick this up.

The triple body creams are perfect for the winter months when your skin tends to get dry. I picked this up mid-December and I've been using this one more than the other scents. Every time I put this on my mom goes "you smell really good. What are you wearing?" and it has been this every time!

Well that's all for my favorites for December.

Thanks for following and commenting!

Once I get to 200 followers I'm going to hold another giveaway.

Oh and this is a scheduled post, so when you read this I'll be studying for my biology test!

Nail of the Day

Hey fashionistas!
Thanks for all of the get well wishes(:
I had some exciting things to post about today but, I'm just not feeling up to it. Whenever I feel better I'll show you what I got for Christmas and my overdue birthday "haul".

I wanted to show you the new polish I picked up the other day.
It's Wet n' Wild's "Wild Card", the number is 465.

The color pictured above is more darker than it is in real life.

It's a nice purple with a pink shimmer running through it. It went on sheer so I put on 3 coats. I didn't mind doing 3 coats because it dried super fast! This is pretty true to life.
Excuse my dry cuticles!

This is day 2 with 3 coats on.

Here's the rundown:
Price- 5/5
Application: 4/5
Wear time: 4/5
Repurchase: Yes, I would

Overall rating: A

I think you guys should definitely check this out. It's only $1 so even if you don't end up liking it won't break the bank.

My Favorite Beauty Products 2010

Hey fashionistas!
I've been seeing a lot of bloggers posting their favorite beauty products of 2010, so I thought I would do mine. I'm not sure if they have to be new products from 2010 or products just new to you. My favorites are a bit of both.
By the way these are in no particular order.

Orly "Close Your Eyes" polish.
I took this months ago from my mom's bathroom and let me say that it hasn't made a return trip! It's a beautiful magenta color, opaque in 2 coats.
ELF "Smoky Brown" polish, or as I call it "Smoky Bear".

I think that this is the best fall/winter polish. It's very neutral and I love it. Normally I like pinks, reds, or deeper colors but this is amazing! Plus it's only $1. Seriously, what's not to love?

Co. Bigelow Lip Glosses
So maybe this isn't just a 2010 favorite. More like an all time favorite. Not just in this shade either, all of the scents and flavors are so amazing! They are super glossy and they aren't sticky at all. Bonus they are minty and on the package it says to have "breath freshening benefits".

ELF Contouring and Blush Duo
A new favorite of mine, but none the less a favorite! I don't really use the blush side (it's very sparkly) but I use the bronzer to contour everyday. It's not too dark for the winter at all. Plus it's $3 compared to the infamous Nars duo which I believe is $36; I'm not positive about that though.

NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Powder in "Pink Cheek Glow"
I bought this in I think April and I used it a lot and around October I stopped using it because I had put it in a makeup bag that I had in a random purse. I found it and I re-discovered my love for it. It really does give a nice glow, it isn't the longest lasting blush though but if you apply a creme blush under it then it has a longer lasting time.
EOS Lipbalm in Summer Fruits
Seriously? Do I even need to explain my love for this? I think not! If you don't already have one then I suggest you go buy one!

Wet n' Wild "Vanity" palette
This is a new product to me (like I bought it a few weeks ago) and it has already become a staple in my makeup! My favorite ones are the first on the left for a highlight, the 2nd on the left for a midtone color, and the bottom two for crease colors. This was so cheap and the quality is incredible, Wet n' Wild has seriously stepped up their game.

Stila "Kitten" eyeshadow
I use this basically everyday as a base color my bronzey looks (and other looks) also it's a great inner corner color. If you don't have this then you should, it flatters many (if not all) skintones.

Maybelline's "Falsies" mascara
This was a new product from 2010 and I have to say, it was love at first coat. I like to layer it over Rimmel's Lash Maxx mascara for a truly dramatic look.

Rimmel's Lash Maxx mascara.
As I said above I like to layer a coat of this with a coat of Falsies over it. This is the best lengthening mascara I've ever used.
Stila Smudge Pot in "Black"
I love cream eyeliners so much because of this! They glide on so nicely! If you aren't up to paying the $20 then I suggest the ELF Studio line cream liner in black. I promise it's just as good. I switch off between those two. I really do need to do a comparison post! One of these days....
*All of the images used were found through google images*
That's all for now glamistas!
I tag all of you to do a round-up of your favorite beauty products from 2010!

November Favorites

Hey dolls, I know this is so cliche but.. November went by so fast!
Here's what I've been loving for the past month.

L-R
ELF Studio Bronzer in Warm Bronzer♥
ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion♥
ELF Contouring and Blush duo (I've only been using the bronzer)♥
ELF Cream Liner in Black♥
ELF Studio blush brush♥
CO. Bigelow Cinnamint Mentha Lipshine♥
Sleek Original Palette (I've been using the 2nd to last color in the top row for a pop of color on my bottom lashes)♥
Wet n' Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Sweet as Candy (The first two colors, not so much the bottom)♥
LA Colors Palette in Traditional♥

I've been using the ELF Studio Bronzer to warm up my face everyday.
I've used the Pink Passion blush a lot this month, towards the end of the month I started using some other blushes but this was used most of the month.
I haven't used the blush part of the contouring and blush duo but, I have used the contouring side EVERYDAY.
I just started using the ELF cream liner and it's quite comparable to Stila's smudge pots. One of these days I'll get around to doing a comparison.
The ELF blush brush is amazing. You need it in your life.
I love the CO. Bigelow gloss, it's super glossy and makes my lips so shiny. People at school are always saying how glossy my lips are.
The only color I've been using from the Sleek palette a lot this month is in the 1st row 2nd to the last. I've been using it on my outer corner on my bottom lashes line. It's a great pop of color.
This month I have used the white shade in the Wet n' Wild trio for a highlight almost everyday. The brown shade works for a great crease color, dark but not too dark.
Did you guys notice how the LA Colors palette made it in my favorites again? Well it did! I've been using more than just the two colors I used last month. I've hit a bit of pan on one of the colors. These are really great quality for how inexpensive they are.

Here's the non-makeup things I used a lot last month.

L-R

Black Amethyst perfume from Bath and Bodyworks♥
Aussie Mega Hairspray♥
Helen of Troy curling iron♥
ELF Smoky Brown nail polish♥

I'm not even going to try to explain the smell of Black Amethyst, I'm horrible at that!
I've been using this hairspray daily, it gives a great hold but my hair isn't crunchy. After curling my hair with the Helen of Troy curling iron I just flip my head upside down and spray the hairspray all over and then flip back up and adjust my hair. It gives me more volume.
I've been using this curling iron a lot! I go to sleep with my hair wet from the shower and in braids and then I take the braids out spray a heat protectant on my hair and use this iron to get the curls I've had for the past couple of outfit of the day posts.
ELF Smoky Brown nail polish has made its way onto my nails multiple times this month. Such a pretty, creamy shade.

That's all for my favorites!

Nails of the Day #2

Hello lovelies(: I just thought I would show you what I am wearing on my nails right now.

This is from the Wet n' Wild Shine collection in the color 'Dream Poppy'. I like this color a lot, although I am noticing that in these pictures it kind of looks like a hot pink but, in real life it is more of pinkish orange color. Sometimes it looks more orangey pink and sometimes it looks hot pink. Sorry my middle finger is all messed up, when I took of my press ons the glue still hasn't completely left my nails. The middle fingers on both my hands have a lot of it still left on them. I have used acetone based nail polish remover and it won't come off! Any tips on how to get it off?

This is the bottle.

I'm not really sure why the label is worn off? So yeah..

Thanks for following and commenting!
