Weekend Wrap Up!

This was a very busy weekend and I snapped some pictures to share with you all. 

My mom and dad went to IKEA this weekend and my momma is so sweet and picked me up a few new fancy pillows. I am obsessed with fancy pillows and my mom picked out the best ones to go with my room!

Yes, I did hashtag that... 

This was Lily and I before the art camp gallery show started. We helped set up the whole show which consisted of different pieces from 5 different art camps. It was crazy, but really fun to set up. I can really envision myself putting together store fronts and displays, and or styling because obviously that would be my dream job. 

These are some of the flowers from the Flower Power art camp. I helped install and place them on the wall. They were paper maiche, wire, and netting. Lily looked really cute in distressed jeans and my black top and bright emerald green cardigan. 

I walked in our office on Sunday morning to find my sister asleep on the futon with our dog snuggled up on her back. It was too precious to not take a picture of it!

I have to confess... I actually painted my nails this morning, but I thought I would still put it up with the weekend post! I used Essie "Mod Square" for a pretty summery pink. Also hollaaaaa at my new pillow swag..

Going to go finish watching the Bachelorette! Hope you guys had a fab weekend full of shenanigans!

A Well Spent Weekend

Hello fashionistas!

This holiday weekend has been a very busy, but fun weekend. 

I just wanted to catch you up on some of what I have done with the following pictures!

Fourth of July was spent with my girl, Jenna. The two of us had a fab time at her family's BBQ. We got our diva glow on with a ton of glowsticks. 

The next day I went over to my friend Kali's house. We got our tan on and swam in the deep blue ocean. We both ended up extremely sun burnt. This would be the burnt aftermath. My shoulders and back were the worst. 

I popped my acrylic nails off the other day because they were peeling and I knew I would need to get fresh ones put on when I go next week. It feels weird to not have them on my nails. My nails are now very weak. Which is something I fully expected to happen.

This morning I went to the gym and did a body pump class and after that I got my cardio on. 

I finally accomplished 3 miles in 35 minutes! I was so pumped because I normally only hit 2.91 or 2.95 miles. I pushed myself so hard. Also, I have my resistance and crossramp much higher than shown in the picture. I change it up throughout the workout. The machine sets it back to a resistance of 1 once the time is over. 

Afterwards my dad and I dragged our sore, sweaty selves to this local place called Fishtails for some delicious breakfast  brunch. I was so hungry, but I only managed to eat half of this omelette. 

Here is a cute picture of my dog in a jacket. Just livin' the pampered dog life. 

This CD is what I have been currently jamming to in my car. I love me some JT.

I'm still pretty burnt, but it is slowly fading into a tan. Except not on my red red red nose. My smile is so big because my mom is FINALLY coming home from Michigan after two and a half weeks! I cannot wait to see her.

Emjoi Micro-Pedi Device and Attachments Review!

Hello fashionistas! 

I'm really excited to review the Emjoi Micro-Pedi device and attachments for you all! 

When I was initially offered to try this product to review I was skeptical of how "life changing" it really would be. I have always suffered from nasty callouses and overbearing cuticles, but this product truly has helped my feet look beaaaautiful! 

Living in good old Florida means that sandal ''season' is 9-10 months out of the year. I've tried other products to tame the toes and feet (pedi-egg, graters, pumice stones, etc.), but nothing has been as effortlessly easy as the Emjoi Micro-Pedi device. This also came with smaller attachments that could remove any callouses between your toes. This product is one of the most user friendly products I have ever tried. All you have to do is pop in two double A batteries and flip the switch on. I was filled with a little trepidation about putting this on my feet because I am very ticklish, but this did not tickle my feet at all. I felt like a light foot fairy was removing the nastiness on my feet.  Or a really great device- same thing, right? Make sure to use this device with your foot over a trashcan or your tub to avoid any mess. 

Just tackling those craaaazy cuticles! 

I tested out the manicure attachments on my little sister's hands. One thing you should note about my sister is that she is the antithesis of my girly girl personality; she does not like a bunch of makeup, fancy clothing, or treating herself to manicures. I sat her down and tried out the attachments on her very overgrown cuticles and polished her nails to a high shine with the buffer attachments. There is even an emery board attachment to help file your nails down. Her nails looked really good afterwards and just like she had gotten them professionally done! 

I believe that this product is going to save me a ton of money that I would normally spend at the salon getting my manicures and pedicures. For only $39.95 you can purchase the Emjoi Micro-Pedi device right here.

Easy Nail Design

Hello fashionistas!

I must confess... I am horrible at painting my nails.. 

Seriously. If there is a way that I can smudge them or get the nail polish all over my hands then it will probably happen. The funniest part is the fact that I have way too many nail polishes and I am too inept at nail painting to use them. 

I saw this over on Pinterest the other day and really liked it, but kind of knew that I would not be able to do it, but I still pinned it. A girl can dream, right?

I had already painted my nails Turquoise and Caicos, but decided I wanted to do something more to them. I decided to attempt the nail art that I had seen on Pinterest. 

I wish I could give you more of a play by play as to what I did, but all I did was get a bit of the gold nail polish on the brush and put it on the nail at an angle. I tried to keep a really steady hand to make sure that the lines were pretty even. 

I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty happy with the outcome! I think I will probably try this with some other colors, maybe hot pink with silver accent.

Are you guys nail design gurus or poor painters like I am?

Revlon Naturally Chic Review

Hello fashionistas, here's a quick review for you.

Product:

Revlon Naturally Chic press on nails in medium length.

Application was easy, I used nail clippers to trim them down and the little file it came with to even it all out.

I really like this glue that it comes with, I feel like it lasts longer than most.

The nails themselves felt sturdy. They didn't feel like they were going to fly off.

The wear time on these was about 6 and a half days. It would have been longer but because I take pottery that really gets under them and kind of lifts them a bit.

I had a few fall off during the time I had them on but nothing too major.

The first picture is the best, the second one is not very good, I messed up a couple of fingers!

Overall ratings:

Nails: 9/10

Glue: 10/10

Application: 9/10

Wear time: 9/10

I think I might like these the most out of all the press ons I've ever had. Maybe more than my acrylics.

I believe these retail around $5-7 at drugstores.

Would I repurchase?

Yes I would, I quite enjoyed these. I've worn them twice now.

Every time I wore these people complimented me on my nails, people were really surprised that they were only press ons!

Also you can easily paint over these, I typically paint over these with darker colors because then I only need two coats to cover the white tips.

Orly 'Close Your Eyes'

Sorry for slacking on the blog front... I've been busy, on Saturday my mom and I did a 5k for Breast Cancer and on Sunday we walked 10k (my mom is training for a 1/2 marathon and I just tagged along). It was such a nice day on Sunday, cool and crisp but, not cool enough for a jacket. Saturday was all rainy after the 5k but, Sunday totally made up for it!





Before I go jump in the shower and pop on some press-ons I'm going to do a quick nail post.

Application: 5/5
Chipping: 4/5
Opaqueness: 5/5

I did two coats over my Revlon white tip nails. I'll do a review tomorrow or sometime this week.






I absolutely adore this color, my new fall favorite. A purpley/red with some shimmer. Adore it, you must buy it!

Hello again my lovelies(:

I was going to do my August Faves but then I thought about having to take pictures/swatches and I was like well I'll just do it tomorrow. Lazy, I know!

This is Goldie's Creepy Groovy and it is 2 coats with a base coat. Oh and there isn't a top coat on.

This was available at Bath and Body Works and then they stopped carrying Goldie there. Why, I do not know.





I was pleasantly surprised to find out how fast it's dry time is, very fast!

It is a brownish color with a bit of gold shimmer running through it. Overall I definitely think this will be on my nails during fall. I don't know where you can purchase it now and I don't know how much it was because it was a gift from a friend last year.

My Favorite Nailene Nails Product

Hey girlies, thanks for all of the get well wishes and I can hardly believe I'm at 61 followers!

I just thought I would do a quick post telling you guys what my favorite Nailene Nails product is. My favorite product would have to be the Nailene Nails in 'So Natural'. I love these nails because one, they actually look natural. Two they don't break when you do simple everyday things like button your pants or text (my KISS nails actually did pop off when I did these things, even on the first day I put them on). You can leave the white tips longer or file them down, I tend to file mine down but that's just me. I have incredibly small hands and fingers so I had to shape each nail but, it was a very easy process and didn't take long at all to custom fit each nail. I also like that you can paint over them and you don't see the white tips with two coats of a darker color, lighter colors take 3-4 coats. Not bad because you don't have to use a base coat.
Overall I like the look, the feel, and the little amount of time it takes for me to put them on.

These are just a couple of pictures of me wearing the So Natural nails. I also wanted to tell you that I was sent these, but these just happen to be my favorite out of the ones I was sent to review.

Nails of the Day

Hey girlies! I just thought I would do a quick post and then I'm off to do some laundry and then my nails (as I just took off what you're about to see). Oh and I really need to keep reading Ender's Game so that will be done right while I'm all snuggled up in my comfy bed!






I still have on my Nailene nails in So Natural (which I love!).
I did a base coat.
I did 2 coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Dahlia. One coat would've been fine if I hadn't had the So Natural nails on because you could see the white tips.
I used LA Colors nail art polish stuff (not too sure on how to describe these!) in black to make a line and silver glitter to go over it.
After all of that I used a top coat.

I had it on for 4 1/2 days (I took it off tonight, I just wanted a new color). I'm not sure what I will do next, but I did buy a Pure Ice polish a couple weeks ago in this grey/silver color. Maybe I'll use that.

Hey girlies as promised here is my mini (under 20 bucks!) ULTA haul.

Swatches are in the same order as in the palette. The 3rd color is actually a little more pigmented then pictured. I have not used these yet, but I am looking forward to (and really you can't beat $2.99!).

It reminds me a lot of a sunset. I thought they NYX shadows were incredibly pigmented and I will be buying another of these palettes (they had like 6 or so different ones).

Nailene Nails in 'So Natural'

When I was contacted by Nailene nails and Revlon to be sent some products to review I was so happy (and surprised!). I had boughten a pair of KISS press ons a couple of weeks before and I kind of hated them. Okay not hated, but I was disappointed in the quality, they were flimsy and broke off very easily (like buttoning up your paints and one just flies off). These feel very strong and don't bend or anything. They took me about 15-20 minutes to file down to fit my fingers (I have really tiny fingers/hands compared to most people) and then about 5 minutes or so to press on. They look really nice and I am so impressed with the quality. I was sent to other nails (one with blue glitter on the tips and one with white tips with silver flower designs). I was also sent some nail decals. I can't wait to try out the rest of the stuff and review them.

Overall I would give these an A+ because they aren't flimsy, they are easy to mold to fit your fingers, and they look lovely.

I will definitely repurchase these when I run out.

Nails of the Day #2

Hello lovelies(: I just thought I would show you what I am wearing on my nails right now.


This is from the Wet n' Wild Shine collection in the color 'Dream Poppy'. I like this color a lot, although I am noticing that in these pictures it kind of looks like a hot pink but, in real life it is more of pinkish orange color. Sometimes it looks more orangey pink and sometimes it looks hot pink. Sorry my middle finger is all messed up, when I took of my press ons the glue still hasn't completely left my nails. The middle fingers on both my hands have a lot of it still left on them. I have used acetone based nail polish remover and it won't come off! Any tips on how to get it off?

I'm not really sure why the label is worn off? So yeah..
