Last Friday Night

Hello hello fashionistas!
I feel weird being here, blogging.. I know, no one is probably still checking this site out because it has been well over a month since I last made any effort on my corner of the internet.. #oops
I swear I really have been busy and I just have felt like I was lacking anything exciting to say. Needless to say I was in a bit of funk. I took the last month to get in touch with what really makes me happy and I'm back!

I want to share my Friday night with you all. Every year a local art gallery hosts an all county high school show and I have been lucky to have been in the show since my freshman year. Not only was I in the high school show, but I was also in the regular show that was going on.

This was my piece for the high school show. The piece is called "An Artist's Apron" and it is made out of clay. I wanted to show a well loved and worn apron that was put back together.

These shoes were my piece for the regular show. They are called "Mismatched Souls."
Are you guys not surprised at all to see that my art coincides with fashion?

These are my fellow pottery gals! They also had pieces in the show.

Some of my girls came to see my pieces! Afterwards we all went out for hibachi grill. I ate soooo much food.

Poor photo quality, but this was taken at dinner. The rest of the group is lingering out of the picture.

And obviously a best friend car selfie had to happen.

I promise not to disappear again! I hope I still have some readers out there! I've missed you all and your blogs!

Friday Night Out

Hello fashionistas!
Sorry for being a tidbit absent around here! This week has been really fast paced and full of things to do and people to see. I wanted to share an outfit that I wore to school and out on Friday night. I had a vase in an art show so, I went out to the gallery's opening night. The show will go on for all of September.

Top: Old Navy Blazer: Forever 21 Jeans: Marshalls (the brand is Sevens) Shoes: Payless Earrings and necklace: Forever 21

I went with a simple tee shirt and I paired it with a shrunken black blazer. Dark wash skinny jeans and black wedges wrapped the look up nicely. I thought my outfit needed some kind of glamorous addition, so I went with a big purple statement necklace. Large hoops added a bit of edge to my ensemble.

This is my natural hair aka super straight.
I loaded my lashes up with mascara and I added a bit of Urban Decay Naked Basic's "Faint" on my lower lashline. I used a pink lipstick with a lavender lipgloss over it.

Best friend selfies.

This was my vase! I was really excited because it made it into the main room in the gallery.

My girlfriends came out to see my vase which was so sweet. We went out for dessert afterwards and walked around.

I'm announcing my giveaway winner tomorrow!
I hope you guys are having a fabulous weekend!

Loads of love!

Life Update

Hello fashionistas!
I'm not really in an outfit posting mood today, so you're getting a life update.

I finished my pottery project that I showed you guys in this post .
I'm going to use this for the art show that a local gallery does with the high schools in our county ever year.

Beaded black tops for the win.

Friday night my friends and I decided to have a little GNO (girl's night out). We went out for dessert and played pool. Followed by a sleepover. The next night we had another sleepover and went out for sushi. We had a really fab weekend.

I snapped pics of my two silly pets this weekend. My cat, Java, decided to drink right out of glass full of water. He is ridiculous, his water bowl was maybe 50 feet away.
My dog, Colby, sleeps with all of his paws straight up in the air. I love that crazy boy!

This is my current pottery project that I'm working on. The whole project will have the carved out lines like the top. The blue you see is a transfer ink paper that has a seashell pattern on it.

I'm off to the gym with my friend. Hope all is going well with you guys!
Loads of love!

Where Do I Begin?! Update and OOTD

Hello fashionistas,
whoooo, what a week it has been (and it's only Wednesday)!
Let me give a run down of my week so far!

Sunday: I went to a Bon Jovi concert with my mom and aunt that night. You all know my love for him! It was so great, he's amazing! We didn't get home until 1 am, and due to the fact that I was all jazzed up I didn't fall asleep until 2:30 am. Oh, Monday morning was r o u g h.

Blazer: Kohls Shirt: New York and Company Tank top: Aeropostale Jeans: GV Shoes: Aerosoles Clutch: Susan Faber Earrings: Mom's
Sorry for the fact that I'm talking! This was the only picture I have of my outfit.

Excuse the fat face pictures, bad angles. Also, excuse the triangle of paleness between my brows, I got a lot of sun (a little burnt) and had sunglasses on. So now I have that stupid pale spot!

Monday: I dragged my sleepy bootaaayyy out of bed and into the shower (I normally shower at night though). I was so tired! After making it through the school day I went home with my friend to do a trial run on her hair and makeup for prom. Then, we went and got our nails done (well she got her nails done and I got a pedicure).
Then I got home and did my geometry homework and studied for my French test.

Tuesday: I went to school and took my surprisingly easy French test. I'm glad it was easy because I made note cards, but I only studied for a half hour! Then I went to my best friend Lily's house and chilled for a couple of hours. After 'chilling', I went to her spring guitar concert (which was great) !
I didn't get home until 9:30, then I made my other best friend Melissa brownies because today is her birthday.
Before going to bed I looked over some biology stuff because Wednesday was the first pre-AICE biology exam.

Wednesday: I went in early to give Mel her brownies and card and have a little celebration.HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELLY!  Then came death (aka the exam). Biggest shocker of the day, the exam wasn't that hard! There were only a couple of things I was really stumped on. This one was apparently the easiest out of the 3 we have to do. Monday is the hardest (so scared). After the test I went to my normal classes and did work. I also finished my teapot project in pottery today! Once I got home it was more homework and studying. I also helped mom do some cleaning.

Now you're all caught up in my life! Sorry for ignoring the blog lately! My life has just been go, go, go nonstop! Tomorrow I have a geography test to study for so, I probably won't post anything.

I hope you're all having a great week!

Love you guys!

Sunny Days Are Here To Stay!

Hello my dearest fashionistas!
I haven't blogged in like almost a week (for some reason my last post says that it was posted on Sunday when I actually posted it on Wednesday) .
Today has been a very short day for me, I have a little bit of math homework and I have a geography study guide to do.
I look really bad in this picture, but I wanted you guys to see the detail on the sweater.
It's a very lightweight sweater, super soft!

Sweater: my mom
Tank top: Kohls
Jeans: GV
Shoes: Bealls
Earrings&bracelet: Forever 21

Here's a quick little update!
On Friday I found out that my art teacher is taking one of my pieces to this art association gallery showing. It's sort of big because it's all high schools in my county and each art teacher can only take 9 pieces. I'm very excited! The gallery opens up on Friday night and they're going to announce 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention; I don't think I'll win anything but, I'm happy to be going!
So here's a few pictures of the finished piece.
I named it "The Ocean's Bodice" .

Also, I got a 90% on my biology test, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Over the weekend my friends and I went to the fair that a catholic school here holds yearly.
After that I spent the night at Melissa's house, she's a huge Lost fan so we started watching and I'm like in love with it! It's so good, I've seen the first 6 episodes, so don't tell me any spoilers!
On Sunday we went to the beach (yes, it's warm enough to go to the beach!) and we layed out. Then we got hot so we went into the water. It was pretty chilly but, we thawed out fast!
I had a really great weekend with my friends!
I promise to get around to posting the outfit pictures from the Bon Jovi concert sometime this week, I'll also be doing a February Favorites post soon.

Hope you had a wonderful day!

I'm off to go do homework and such. Blech!

This Is the Story of My Life & I Write It Everyday

Hey fashionistas,
sorry for not posting for almost two days (the horror!) , I've been busy.
Let me give you a little update on my life.
So remember how I told you my guy friend and I were arguing? Well I was the bigger person and apologized and we put it behind us, although things won't be the same due to what we argued about but, I'm not going to get into that!
I had two quizzes and a test today, so I was studying it up yesterday.
I'm pretty sure I didn't do well on my geometry test, the teacher wasn't there for the past two days and then he gave us a test on two sections he didn't teach us! *sigh*
My other quizzes were super easy though.
We have a four day weekend, so today is my Friday!
I'm going to have a five day weekend because of the Bon Jovi concert my mom and I are going to see, I won't be back at school until Wednesday!
Tomorrow one of my best friends (Melissa) is going shopping with me and my mom, Nana, and sister. We're going to Forever 21 and Costco.
My mission is to find a cute top to wear to the concert on Monday!
Mel hasn't been to the giant Forever 21 near us yet, so this will be quite an overwhelming experience! Even though I've been multiple times, I still can't get over the vastness of the store!
Almost 120,000 sq feet of Forever 21 !

Anyways, ramble over! Here's what I threw on before I walked out the door.

Shirt: New York and Company
Tank top: Aeropostale
Necklace: Forever 21
Cardigan: Forever 21
Shoes: Old Navy
Jeans: GV

This is such an unattractive photo of myself!
Oh, the necklace says "LOVE" but, the LO is on top of the VE .

Somedays when I don't know what to wear I just throw on layers of the same color, so today was very black on black. Or as the French would say "noir sur noir."
Just a wee bit of casual French!

Here's Nana with me after dinner!
I really need to get more sleep, my eyes look so tired...

Oh and this is random but, I wanted to show you the vase I've been working on in my pottery class, it's way different now then when I last talked about it.
Warning, it's very abstract. I finished doing the lines/swirls on it today, but this photo was taken yesterday. Also the bag in the opening is just to make sure it kept its form.
This is it looking from the back.
Casual side view.

A lot of people said it looked like broccoli or cauliflower. Some think it's a tree, or a person's head.
I think it looks sort of under the sea-ish.
I guess it is open to your own interpretation. I just kind of embraced it's wonky form! My teacher loves it, she helped me get it to lean like it does.
Right now it's drying out, so I'll be probably getting it fired on Wednesday or Thursday.
I'm thinking of painting it a light blue or teal.
After somebody threw out that it looked like cauliflower I decided against a cream color!

Oh, another random side note, I got a super cute denim pencil skirt today from Coldwater Creek (which I call Oldwater Creek...) but, this skirt was too cute!
For Valentines day my mom bought me a purple plaid jacket from there, I'll show you guys soon!

I hope you're all having a fabulous day! Happy almost Friday!

PS: This is the song that I got the title from, it's Bon Jovi and it's called... Story of My Life.
My friend Mel and I adore it, we shortened it to 'SOML' !
