Camel and Calypso

Hello fashionistas!
I've been meaning to post this outfit for a week, another school outfit.
I wanted to wear this summertime dress once more because it will be sitting in my closet for the next couple of months!

Blazer & Dress: Target Tanktop: Kohls Shoes: Aerosoles Bracelet: Vintage Belt: Forever 21

This dress was a Calypso for Target and it is a size too big on me, so I have to belt it.  If I don't then it is just too boxy on me. I would have gone with a smaller size, but it was the last one they had, and I just had to have it!
I thought the camel blazer and white mixed well together with the pops of pink.

I got my dress for homecoming today. It's not your typical homecoming dress, I disliked majority of them, so I went with something that wasn't the usual. You guys will just have to wait and see!

I'm so jubilant over the fact that it is the weekend. I really need it; this week has felt like it has been four years! I've got a lot of homework to do and so much sleep to catch up on.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Simply Sweet

Hello my fashionable darlings!
Here's what I wore on Monday, sorry for not getting different poses of the outfit, I was in a rush!

Dress & Blazer: Target Shoes: Aerosoles Necklace: Lia Sophia

I cannot get enough of this blazer.. Which you obviously can tell because I've been wearing it A LOT.
I wore this dress on the first day of school, but I just tied the sash in the back. When I wore it on Monday I wrapped the sash around the front, then tied it. By doing this, I created a different shape with the dress.
I completed this look with a simple drop necklace.

For makeup I did my trademark bronze eyes. I wanted to brighten the inner corner so I did an "inner v highlight". Basically I took NYX's jumbo eye pencil in Yogurt and put Stila's Kitten eyeshadow over it.
Ta-da bright eyes!

School was hectic as always, I surprisingly didn't have much homework. I am extremely grateful for that.
Tomorrow I have a math test, Friday a French test, and Monday I have a world history test.
I have to be hittin' those books! I feel like my life is a blur of studying. Oh school.

I joined another club at school, it's called High Q. It's like team jeopardy, that's the easiest way I can think to explain it. We meet every Monday and Tuesdays until 5.
I'm also doing a pottery/photography club called "Cameramics", which I'm hoping to become President of. I'm in a couple of other clubs too. Clubbing it up!

Anyways, off to read some of my favorite blogs.

Lots of love!

Blue and Stars + Eye of the Day

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to show you want I wore in honor of 4th of July.
We did a little BBQ action, but I skipped on fireworks because they are not my favorite thing.
I'm probably one of the few people who aren't fond of them!
Shirt: Liz Clairborne  Star top: Belk Shorts: Dockers (bought at Bealls) Watch: Avenues Shoes: Aerosoles Sunglasses:

I finally realized that I need to set my camera on macro mode to pick up makeup well, I used macro on all of these. The only thing I do not like about macro is that it makes me look so pale!
Anyways, here's my patriotic eye makeup!

Urban Decay Primer Potion
NYX Yogurt pencil as a base on my lower lash line
Stila's Stone eyeshadow all over and in the middle of my lower lash line
Stila's Smog in the crease
Sleek original I-Divine palette dark, shimmery blue in the crease, and all over the bottom lash line
Urban Decay's Virgin in the inner corner, bottom inner corner, and highlight
ELF Studio Cream liner on my upper lash line
Urban Decay's Creep over the ELF Studio Cream liner
Rimmel London 1-2-3 mascara on upper lashes
Covergirl waterproof LashBlast mascara on lower lashes

This showed up a little bit more silver than blue, don't worry it was definitely blue!

How'd you guys spend your 4th of July?

Simply Glowing

Hello fashionistas!
I would like to say happy summer! School is finally out and I couldn't be happier!

Chambray: From Nana, Ralph Lauren Jeans: GV Top: New York and Company Tank top and earrings: Forever 21 Shoes: Aerosoles

Mom and I changed up the photos, let me know what you think. I think that these are more interesting, plus mom's flowers look amazing! I also think that my mom could be a professional photographer, she takes amazing pictures.

Yey for 'selfies' of the best friend and I!

I wore this on Wednesday (aka my last day of freshman year). Very comfortable. Not much effort went into this look. The last day was long and boring. Then I went home with Lily and we chilled at her place, we also went swimming.

Today was the final pre-AICE biology exam, I think it went well! Lily spent the night last night, so no studying got done.. Not that I was really going to study anyways, these exams don't even change our grades. I studied for the other 2 parts a lot, so I'm kind of over studying!

Did I tell you guys I'm making myself take an economics course online this summer? For the AICE diploma you aren't required to take economics, but I think it will help boost my GPA. Also, if I were to ever drop out of AICE I'd have to take it, so it will be a good thing to take just as a precaution. Plus my dad won't be here forever to help me with taxes when I'm an adult!  I was only going to take a standard economics class, but my counselor talked me into taking an honors class. This is going to be a lot of work for an unnecessary class!

I'm going to do my May favorites tomorrow, so be on the lookout for that! I'll probably write it up tomorrow, but post it Sunday.

Happy Friday/summer!

Blog Birthday + Outfit of the Day + Eye of the Day

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to show you what I (almost) wore to school on Friday.

Top: Kohls Tanktop: Aeropostale Skirt: Coldwater Creek Shoes: Aerosoles Earrings: mom's

I was going to wear this to school on Friday, but it was not very comfortable, so I threw on jeans instead. The jeans were a good call because I did a ton of walking around that day. If I had worn the skirt I probably would have been tugging it around all day.

Here's my eye makeup that I wore. I've been doing this for the past couple of days, quick and easy!

EYES
  • UDPP
  • Urban Decay's Sin all over lid
  • Sleek's original I-Divine palette purple all over sin, lightly patted
  • Stila's Road to Radiance travel palette's "City Chick" in the crease
  • Urban Decay's Virgin as my highlight
  • Maybelline Colossal lash
  • Stila's Lash Visor
I took my final exam today. I'm officially a sophomore! Well, except for the fact that I have to take the final part of my pre- AICE biology exam on Friday, but I'm not worried about it. I went home with the best friend Lily and hung out at her house all afternoon/evening.

Here's a breakdown of my exam grades:
English: 100% (highest out of everyone, very pleased with myself)
Pottery: 100%
Geometry: 80% (I'm happy with that, seen as I thought I was going to not do well at all on it.)
French: 80% (I'm also happy with this because the final exam was SO hard.)

I don't know what I got on my geography exam yet, but overall I'm pretty pleased with my grades.

I just wanted to tell you guys that today is my first blog birthday! I'm so happy to have gotten to 'know' so many of you, you're the kindest people. I have had so many wonderful opportunities brought into my life from blogging. Plus, I get to interact with you all on a daily basis! I remember when I got my very first follower, I had been 3 weeks into blogging, I was out at dinner, waiting for our table. I pathetically checked my Blogger account to see if I had any 'hits' on my blog, when I saw that I had a follower I was SO excited! By the next day I had ten followers! Blogging started as a hobby to do over the summer, now I don't know what I would do without it! I love blogging so much, and I love you all so much. Thank you for being such amazing followers, every new follower I get the happier I am. All of your comments bring smiles to my face and really just warm my heart. If you ever have any questions or requests, drop me a line or comment on a post. I love you guys!

Field of Fashion

Hello you fabulous fashionistas!
I wore this yesterday to get pedicures and study with Madeleine. I'm trying to focus on school right now and think about everything else later. Just a few more days, and then I can let my mind wander!
Again, photo props to Madeleine! Check her blog here! Thanks girl!

Madeleine said I look like Sacajawea in a Vogue spread. Hahaha, too funny!

Top: New York and Company Skirt: Coldwater Creek Shoes: Aerosoles Earrings: mom's

This is Madeleine! I totally loved her chambray, super cute!

Lunch for me, a snack for Madeleine. Plus some casual Starbucks (or as I call it JupiterEuros)!

Here are our pretty pedicures! My foot is the red polished one. I wish I remembered the name of the polish, I know it was OPI. Sorry!

Today, I took my French exam. All I have to say is..... DIFFICULT. It was so long and hard. I was literally dying during the exam. 160 questions, 90 minutes. Need I say more?
Tomorrow is my English and pottery exam. Both should be easy. I'm worried about Wednesday because I have my geometry exam, and I have to pass to make sure my semester grade stays a B.
Think some good thoughts for me!

On a random note, my blog's first birthday is Wednesday!!! I can't believe it!

I hope your Monday has gone by smoothly!
Lots of love!

Mixed Neutrals

Hello fashionistas,
I have a little outfit of the day for you all! I wore this to school on Wednesday.

I
Chambray: Vintage (from my Nana, from Papa, which it's actually Ralph Lauren) Dress: Kohls Belt: Mom's Shoes: Aerosoles Necklace: Ethan's

I was in the mood to mix a bunch of neutrals with my chambray top, so that's exactly what I did! I used to be so anti brown and black together, but lately I've been loving it! This dress is way too big on me, so I always have to cinch it with a belt. Other than the fact that it's too big, I love this dress! It's one of those pieces that you put on and instantly feel great. Plus it has secret pockets! I took this necklace from Ethan when we were at Panera, it went well with my neutral theme, so I decided to wear it. He just laughed, and was like "is that my necklace?"

I curled my hair because I was getting bored of it just being straight. I did my usual bronze eye makeup. Nothing too special.

I don't think I'll be posting much this upcoming week. Monday I have my french exam, Tuesday is english and pottery, Wednesday is geography and geometry, Thursday I don't have an exam (pottery is a 6/7 so I will have already taken it). Thursday is the official last day of school, but with the AICE program we have another part to our biology exam, so I have to go in to take the multiple choice. I'll try to post, but I don't know how many posts I will be able to get done! Wish me luck on all of these exams, I have to do well on my geometry exam to maintain a B in there. Geometry = bane of my existence.

Today, I went to my cousin's graduation party, I'm so proud of her! She graduated with high honors and a year of her AA degree finished. Congrats Megan!
Lily is coming over to my house in a few, should be any minute now... Then she's spending the night. On Sunday I'm going to get a pedicure with my "French Clique" girls. After that we're studying for our french exam.

Also, I want to thank you guys for the weight loss comments (and all of your other very sweet comments)! I've dropped a few pounds as of lately. I'm planning on hitting the gym e v e r y d a y this summer!

Enough of my rambling!

Love you guys!

Easy Breezy

Hellllllooooo fashionistas!
I would like to say a big thank you to Madeleine for taking these outfit pictures yesterday! I had to go into school early for a biology test review, so I couldn't have the momma do it! These were taken in my biology classroom, before school, obviously!
Thanks girl! To check out her blog click here. She co-writes the blog with her best friend Claire.

Top: Nine and Co. Skort: Dockers Tanktop: Kohls Shoes: Aerosoles Earrings: Mom's Bracelet: Forever 21

The weather here is HOT, so I opted for a black skort and I mixed it with a white, flow-y top. I really love this top, I took it from my mom's closet 2 months ago... She's not getting it back! I paired this with wedges to elongate my stumpy legs. Hair and makeup are the usual, a simple bronze smoky eye and my basically natural hair. I just ran a straightener over the ends of my layers so it all laid uniformly.

I got my biology test back today, I was very pleased with myself, I got a 90% !
I only studied for 1 and a 1/2 hours (well not counting doing the study guide). Ethan and I quizzed each other, he studied less than I did and he still managed to get a 94% ! Jealous. Exam week is coming closer and closer! I'm just very happy I don't have a biology exam. Next week will be stressful, but then summer break is here! I'm pretty darn excited!

I hope you're all having a great week!

Blooming Flowers and Smiles

Hello fashionistas!
Here's a little outfit of the day for you all!

Top: Liz Clairborne Tanktop: Costco Skirt: Coldwater Creek Necklace: mom's Shoes: Aerosoles

I wore this last week! Again this was one of those outfits I threw on right before I walked out the door.
This shirt and the necklace are my mom's, yes, I borrowed some stuff from her closet.... again!

Sorry these aren't the best pictures, my mom took them after school before we went to my sister's school for a drama performance. The lighting is just off. I really love all of my  mom's flowers in the background, they look great!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I plan on doing some studying for my 2nd biology exam on Monday, and hopefully hanging with Lily this weekend.

Where Do I Begin?! Update and OOTD

Hello fashionistas,
whoooo, what a week it has been (and it's only Wednesday)!
Let me give a run down of my week so far!

Sunday: I went to a Bon Jovi concert with my mom and aunt that night. You all know my love for him! It was so great, he's amazing! We didn't get home until 1 am, and due to the fact that I was all jazzed up I didn't fall asleep until 2:30 am. Oh, Monday morning was r o u g h.

Blazer: Kohls Shirt: New York and Company Tank top: Aeropostale Jeans: GV Shoes: Aerosoles Clutch: Susan Faber Earrings: Mom's
Sorry for the fact that I'm talking! This was the only picture I have of my outfit.

Excuse the fat face pictures, bad angles. Also, excuse the triangle of paleness between my brows, I got a lot of sun (a little burnt) and had sunglasses on. So now I have that stupid pale spot!

Monday: I dragged my sleepy bootaaayyy out of bed and into the shower (I normally shower at night though). I was so tired! After making it through the school day I went home with my friend to do a trial run on her hair and makeup for prom. Then, we went and got our nails done (well she got her nails done and I got a pedicure).
Then I got home and did my geometry homework and studied for my French test.

Tuesday: I went to school and took my surprisingly easy French test. I'm glad it was easy because I made note cards, but I only studied for a half hour! Then I went to my best friend Lily's house and chilled for a couple of hours. After 'chilling', I went to her spring guitar concert (which was great) !
I didn't get home until 9:30, then I made my other best friend Melissa brownies because today is her birthday.
Before going to bed I looked over some biology stuff because Wednesday was the first pre-AICE biology exam.

Wednesday: I went in early to give Mel her brownies and card and have a little celebration.HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELLY!  Then came death (aka the exam). Biggest shocker of the day, the exam wasn't that hard! There were only a couple of things I was really stumped on. This one was apparently the easiest out of the 3 we have to do. Monday is the hardest (so scared). After the test I went to my normal classes and did work. I also finished my teapot project in pottery today! Once I got home it was more homework and studying. I also helped mom do some cleaning.

Now you're all caught up in my life! Sorry for ignoring the blog lately! My life has just been go, go, go nonstop! Tomorrow I have a geography test to study for so, I probably won't post anything.

I hope you're all having a great week!

Love you guys!
