Weekend Wrap Up

Hello fashionistas!
I am here with a hodge podge post on what I did this past weekend. I'm bummed that the weekend is already over!

On Friday night my best friend, Lily, our mothers, and her sister all went to a corn maze. We did the maze, went on a hayride, and ate some tasty kettle corn! It was a really good time!

We are idiots. I'm on the left, Lily's sister is the right, and Lily is up top.

I shot this picture of the bay downtown Saint Augustine after one of my runs. I normally run down by the bay because it is so so beautiful, especially on a cloudless, sunny day.

Saturday rolled around and it was filled of nothing! Lily and I aided my mom in cleaning out her closet and we watched three movies. Something Borrowed is our all time favorite movie and then we decided to watch both Bridget Jones movies because they are a hoot.

On Sunday I went haaaard at the gym and I am paying for it today. I needed to buy my dress for homecoming and a few sweaters, so I hit up the mall with Lily. Sorry I don't have any pictures from that!

The last two pictures are technically Monday, but I thought I would wedge them in here! My dog was being fancy and crossing his paws while we watched Jeopardy. He cracks me up!

#MeatlessMonday. My mom made vegetable chow mein and it was delicious and, surprisingly, low calorie!

I came home from school and then I went to the gym. I did a half hour run and then a body pump weight class for an hour. A long, productive workout!

Hope you're all well!

Weekend Wrap Up

Hello fashionistas!
This weekend was full of good times and I have the pictures to prove it! I wanted to give you all a weekend wrap up because I like to share what I do with my friends and family. A look at who I am outside of my clothing and makeup choices!

Up top you will see my girl Kali and I cheesin' with our sushi. I wish I had gotten a picture our other friend, Jenna. She was busy taking the pictures, thanks girly! The bottom pictures are my delicious sushi (also I did not eat alllll of it, I ordered too much) and my excellent parallel parking job. I am a horrible at parking and felt very accomplished with my parking!

My momma and I went to get our nails done and sported matching maxi dresses. We then went out for a tasty Mexican dinner; I ordered a shrimp quesadilla. We went to the mall afterwards and I found this Nike shirt. I am making such a stupid face because I have been saying that phrase for the past two weeks and had to send this picture to my friends. I bought a few things at JCP and the Loft. Jeans were on sale for $35 per pair and I got in on that sweet deal.

I am thinking of attending homecoming this year and I really liked these two dresses. Which one do you think I should go with? Obviously I would not wear flip-flops with either dress! (;

Here are closeups on both of the dresses. Help me pick one!

I spent today working out and studying during the morning. I then went to a neighbor's Pampered Chef party- super fun and really good food! After that I ran errands with my mom.

What did you all do this weekend? Hope you all spent it surrounded by the people you love.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hello fashionistas!
Can we all just be sad for one minute because it is Sunday? I wish weekends like this could go on forever. I have a few pictures for what I was up to this past three day weekend. School was off on Friday for a teacher in-service day.

I woke up at 7 on Friday and headed to the gym for a sweatsesh. I went to a yoga class and then for a run. After that I came home and read a magazine by the pool for a bit.

My aunt, sister, mom, and I went out to lunch and then we did some shopping on Friday afternoon. I bought these flats from DSW. The brand is Moda.

I had a coupon for Old Navy (spend $25 get $10 off) and I purchased this shirt. I also bought two plain v-neck tank-tops in black and cobalt blue. I'm not normally a plaid girl, but I really like this shirt!

Lily spent the night on Friday and then we met our other best friend at a yoga class. After that we spent the whole day laying out on the beach. It was a perfect day!

It was perfect besides the bird army not too far from our towels.. I hate birds..

Katie, Lily, and I ended up spending the night at Katie's house. We went to get ice cream at this great little place called Cold Cow. Extremely tasty. I had "Caramel Caribou" which was toffee ice cream, carmel, and chocolate/carmel candies. The girls got the apple pie flavor and it had delicious crust pieces within it!

We spent Sunday at the beach and then I went over to Lily's house to do her hair and makeup. She has a date tonight and I wanted to glam her up! Excuse the fact that I look super sunburned. I had no makeup on in this and you can tell how burned my face is.

I have to go switch laundry over and paint my nails. I hope you guys had a relaxing weekend!
Loads of love!

New Running Shoes and Current Workout Jams

Hello fashionistas!
I have recently taken up running and my mom told me I had to get new shoes. She took me to a running store and I was fitted for a pair of running shoes! Very exciting stuff. I tried on about five different pairs. I thought that getting fit for shoes would be an awkward experience, but I had a really nice man who told me what my feet were doing when I was running. I ended up with shoes that gave my ankles more support because I have pronation. This means that my ankle rolls inward when I put my feet down. These are by the brand Asic.

I took these bad boys for a spin today and ran 30 minutes straight (just over 2.6 miles). I'm really proud of myself because I never thought I would be a runner, but here I am just running away! I increased my pace throughout my run from a 5.2 to a 5.5. I ended the last 10 minutes at a 5.5 pace. I'm pleasantly surprised with myself! The shoes made my run a lot more comfortable. I cannot wait to keep running with them.

I've recently begun listening to country music (UH WHO AM I? RUNNING AND COUNTRY MUSIC I DON'T EVEN KNOW) and I wanted to share a few country songs I really enjoy running to!

I Want Crazy by Hunter Hayes keeps me at a good speed and I love the catchy lyrics.

Flat On the Floor by Carrie Underwood is such a good song to workout to. Fast paced and powerful.

Best I Ever had by Gavin Degraw is a quick beat and keeps my feet moving.
I know this doesn't really count as country, but I still love this song.

Hope you guys have had a great weekend! I'm off to go meet a friend for coffee.
Loads of love!

Weekend Wrap Up!

Hello fashionistas!
This was a very busy weekend and I snapped some pictures to share with you all.

My mom and dad went to IKEA this weekend and my momma is so sweet and picked me up a few new fancy pillows. I am obsessed with fancy pillows and my mom picked out the best ones to go with my room!
#newpillowswag
Yes, I did hashtag that...

This was Lily and I before the art camp gallery show started. We helped set up the whole show which consisted of different pieces from 5 different art camps. It was crazy, but really fun to set up. I can really envision myself putting together store fronts and displays, and or styling because obviously that would be my dream job.

These are some of the flowers from the Flower Power art camp. I helped install and place them on the wall. They were paper maiche, wire, and netting. Lily looked really cute in distressed jeans and my black top and bright emerald green cardigan.

I walked in our office on Sunday morning to find my sister asleep on the futon with our dog snuggled up on her back. It was too precious to not take a picture of it!

I have to confess... I actually painted my nails this morning, but I thought I would still put it up with the weekend post! I used Essie "Mod Square" for a pretty summery pink. Also hollaaaaa at my new pillow swag..

Going to go finish watching the Bachelorette! Hope you guys had a fab weekend full of shenanigans!

A Well Spent Weekend

Hello fashionistas!
This holiday weekend has been a very busy, but fun weekend.
I just wanted to catch you up on some of what I have done with the following pictures!

Fourth of July was spent with my girl, Jenna. The two of us had a fab time at her family's BBQ. We got our diva glow on with a ton of glowsticks.

The next day I went over to my friend Kali's house. We got our tan on and swam in the deep blue ocean. We both ended up extremely sun burnt. This would be the burnt aftermath. My shoulders and back were the worst.

I popped my acrylic nails off the other day because they were peeling and I knew I would need to get fresh ones put on when I go next week. It feels weird to not have them on my nails. My nails are now very weak. Which is something I fully expected to happen.

This morning I went to the gym and did a body pump class and after that I got my cardio on.
I finally accomplished 3 miles in 35 minutes! I was so pumped because I normally only hit 2.91 or 2.95 miles. I pushed myself so hard. Also, I have my resistance and crossramp much higher than shown in the picture. I change it up throughout the workout. The machine sets it back to a resistance of 1 once the time is over.

Afterwards my dad and I dragged our sore, sweaty selves to this local place called Fishtails for some delicious breakfast  brunch. I was so hungry, but I only managed to eat half of this omelette.

Here is a cute picture of my dog in a jacket. Just livin' the pampered dog life.

This CD is what I have been currently jamming to in my car. I love me some JT.

#Shamelessselfie
I'm still pretty burnt, but it is slowly fading into a tan. Except not on my red red red nose. My smile is so big because my mom is FINALLY coming home from Michigan after two and a half weeks! I cannot wait to see her.

Hope you're having a fab weekend!

New Shoes

Hello fashionistas!
This weekend was very relaxing! I spent Saturday morning getting a mani/pedi with my mom. Then we went to lunch, did a spot of shopping, and had a quick Costco trip. That afternoon I went to the beach with my sister and soaked up some sun. This morning I woke up, finished my Sidney Sheldon & Tilly Bagshawe book, The Tides of Memory, went to yoga, then went to grab lunch with some friends and study for a history test. All in all a busy, but enjoyable weekend.

I wanted to share the new shoes that my mom bought me at DSW this weekend.

These Nine West heels were on mah-joooor (am I Rachel Zoe yet?!) sale; they were less than $30. I love the floral mixed with the pointed toe. Cannot wait to wear these.

I always love having a pair of black wedges for spring/summer because they are the perfect shoe to go with dresses, shorts, and skirts. These were comfortable and cute.

This song has been stuck in  my head for days and conveniently goes along with the subject of this post!
I love this song..

My mom and I randomly stopped into Victoria's Secret and I picked up a new pair of the Boyfriend sweats. I have not bought a new pair in over a year. I've dropped down from a medium to a size small, woo!

Anyways, I'm about to crawl into bed. I am very tired. I'm doing this body pump class again tomorrow at the gym. It is a low weight lifting with really high repetitions. We did so so so many squats on Friday that my legs are JUST NOW starting to feel better. I'm pretty sure I waddled all day Saturday..

Hope all is well!

Sunday Shopping

Hello fashionistas!
Today I did a bit of shopping with my mom. We woke up and went to yoga together and then went out for breakfast. We decided to also hit a few stores while we were out.

I ran into Loft with my mom and tried on a few different pieces of clothing. I decided that I had to have this shirt. It was really comfortable and the colors will be great for spring/summer.

My sister is a flip-flop stealer and tore the thong of my shoes apart. My mom and I went to Marshalls and picked up some flip-flops. These were only $10 for Kenneth Cole Reaction! While at Publix I picked up a new mascara (really the same one I've been using) and Essie Turquoise and Caicos nail polish- I've been wanting to buy this for forever!

My Iphone case had started to get gross/fall apart, so I have been on the hunt for a new case. I absolutely love this chevron printed case!

While at Costco this weekend my mom and I  perused the books and walked away with three new ones. I think I am going to start the Sidney Sheldon/Tilly Bagshawe novel tonight.

Yesterday I went to buy glazes for my ceramics class with a friend and our teacher. That night I babysat and had a ton of fun with the kids. After my busy Saturday and a full day of shopping and  yoga I am going to have to call it a night and curl up in bed with my new book. Loads of love, hope you all had a great weekend.

Bon Jovi Weekend and Outfit of the Day

Hello hello helloooo!
Okay, it has been forever since I have updated. I'm SO SORRY.
My life has been a tiny bit hectic. I went away for a Bon Jovi weekend, the next week I was sick and out of school for almost a week with the flu. I had so much makeup work to do the next week. Then came end of quarter exams. My grandpa unexpectedly passed away, so my mom flew up to help with everything. I'm on spring break and currently up in Michigan with a bunch of family. Needless to say I have not found the time to post on here.
Anyways, I wanted to do a post about my Bon Jovi weekend that happened like 3 weeks ago..

This my aunt and my mom.

My momma and I.

Here's what I wore to the concert.
Dress: Forever 21 Shoes: DSW Ring: Kohl's Clutch: my mom's- pretty sure it is from Target

I went with my purple hi-lo dress from Forever 21 because I thought I would be comfortable in it. We had floor seats for the concert (row 20 in case you care).
I paired the dress with my favorite black slingback heels. Accessorized with my gold clutch (well my mom's clutch..) to match the sequins on the shoulders. I wore my druzy quartz ring because it is my signature ring.

I went with a dark brown and gold eye. I paired it with my tres expensive Hourglass lipstick in Nocturnal.
I put in some loose waves because I was not feeling the natural straight hair.

At the concert, gotta love some JBJ.

This was at a restaurant in Tampa called Datz and it was seriously the tastiest thing I have ever consumed. It was chicken, cheddar belgian waffles, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce.
Also probably a trillion calories.

Just a beautiful day in St. Petersburg; I seriously could see myself living here/going to college here.

Okay, I hopefully will not disappear again. I miss blogging and all of my fab readers!
I fly back home on Easter, so should post soon.

Loads of love!

Weekend Wrap Up.

Hello fashionistas!
I'm sorry that my posting has been spotty, I've just had so much going on.
Here's a little weekend wrap-up.

Friday night I spent the night babysitting, which is always a blast.
Saturday I had a family party to go to in the town that my boyfriend's college is at, so he came with. I'm sad we forgot to snap a picture of us together/outfit pictures. Sigh. Anyways, I really loved seeing him. We probably won't get to see each other for a few weeks (sigh), but we'll survive.

Today I met up with one of my best friends, Melissa for lunch. First we stopped at Panera for food and then we wandered over to this little cafe called The Hyppo and had tea.

The tea came on these adorable trays with timers to let us know when it was all done steeping. It was basically the cutest thing ever.

Mel and I were stopped at a red light conversing and I had to snap a picture of her while she snapped a picture of me. Too funny. No, I don't normally take random pictures while driving, and by normally I mean ever.

Here's the picture she sent me (after we were done driving, obviously).
I call this car my 'Swag Mobile' because it so big. It isn't actually mine, my mom/dad just let me drive the car when they don't need it.

I have a psychology test tomorrow, so I had to come home and study.
I have a strong disdain for Monday tests. Just sayin'.

Here's a shot of my bed... Currently a small mountain range of laundry. Yeah, I need to fold that/put it all up after I finish this post. I swear it never is like this, I just did a lot of laundry this morning.

I came home to freshly baked cookies from my mom.
The chocolate crinkle ones are my favorite. They're actually Ghiradelli brownie mix with a few extra ingredients in them. Super tasty!

Anyways, that's what has been going on this weekend. What have you guys been up to?
I will have an outfit of the day up on Tuesday (probably, unless homework/school is absolutely insane, which is always a very real possibility). I'm off to go fold the copious amount of laundry I have.

Thanks for following!
Loads of love!
