The A-Z of Me

Hello fashionistas!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Thursday I was busy, and on Friday I went home with my best friend Melissa. Then I spent Friday and Saturday night at her place. We painted her room (once she finishes decorating and such I'll be doing a room makeover post, can't wait to show you guys). Then after I left her place on Sunday, I went straight to Panera to meet up with Ethan. We studied, laughed, and had some adventures. All in all it has been a good, busy weekend. To jump back into blogging, I decided the best thing I could do was a little tag.

I wasn't tagged by anyone to do this, I just wanted to do it!

So here we go, A-Z of me!

1. A – Available/Single? I'm single. 
2. B – Best friend? Lily, Melissa, and Ethan. LOVE YOU GUYS!
3. C – Cake or Pie? Cake. I'm a choco-holic. 
4. D – Drink of choice? Coffee. I also love English Breakfast tea.

5. E – Essential item you use every day? Glasses (or contacts). I'm blind without them!
6. F – Favorite color? I like the color black (slimming, you know?), blue (brings out my eyes and compliments my skin), and purple!
7. G – Gummy Bears Or Worms? Gummy bears!
8. H – High heels or flats? I like high heels, I need the extra inches to lengthen short frame! 
9. I – Indulgence? Shopping, reading, blogging, makeup. 
10. J – Juggling many things at once or doing one task at time? I like to multitask. I seem to always be doing 3 things at once!  
11. K – kayaking? I like kayaking a lot! I just went last weekend with my dad. 
12. L – Life is incomplete without? Dreams. 
13. M – Marriage? No boyfriend, no hubby, so no marriage .  
14. N – Number of siblings? One. 
15. O – Oranges or Apples? Apples
16. P – Phobias/Fears? I hate reptiles, rodents, and I'm sort of a germ freak. Only not with the best friends, I'll drink/eat after them, but not other people. I also hate other people's hair being on things. GROSS. 
17. Q – Quote for today? "Don't be a follower, be a trendsetter!" I made this up (: 

18. R – Reason to smile? Happiness. 

19. S – Style? I've been told it's 'preppy', but I hate that word. I guess I just wear what makes me feel good, sometimes I'm influenced by trends, but I don't try to following anyone else. 
20. T – Toe nail color? Right now I have on "Jade is the New Black" by OPI, but it's coming off tonight. 
21. U – Unknown fact about me? Well for my followers it's unknown, I make a lot of weird noises. Like stupid noises, that always send my friends and I into fits of giggles. I also follow these weird noises up with stupid faces and movements... I'm so strange! 
22. V – Vegetable you don’t like? Radishes. 
23. W – Worst habit? I bite my nails and I also always have something moving, be it my foot, head, or tapping my fingers. I feel like that may annoy people...  
24. X – X-rays you’ve had? Teeth, ankle, arm, sinus areas. 
25. Y – Your favorite food? I love homemade, garlic, red skin mashed potatoes. 
26. Z – Zodiac sign? Sagittarius.

Here are my 7 things:

♥ I look a lot older than I am, I'm only 15. Many people think I'm way older.

Funny story, one time I walked into Ulta and this grown man came up to me and said "I saw you walking in and I thought that you were just gorgeous and I just had to tell you. Are you married?"

My response, "Um, no I'm 14 (this was in the summer)."

Him: "Do you have a boyfriend? If you do he's one lucky guy, and if you don't then they don't know what they're missing out on."

This is a true story, needless to say I was kind of creeped out!

♥ I watch a lot of TV. I love anything on Bravo, I watch Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Iron Chef, How I Met Your Mother, Project Runway (etc..)

♥ I've actually met Patrick Dempsey (aka McDreamy from Greys)

I was like 10 or so, here's a picture.

♥ I absolutely love reading. I read a lot! Some of my favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, Sophie Kinsella, Sidney Sheldon, Eileen Goudge. When I was younger I was obsessed with the Nancy Drew series (old, new, whatever!).

Then I found out that Carolyn Keene was just a ghost writer, and it was actually like a group of people who wrote all the books.

♥ I used to be a dog person and then I met Java (my little baby!) and know I'm split! It's 50/50!

We have Colby (and he is crazy) now but, we used to have a black lab he had to put down a little less than a year ago because he had cancer.

♥ I cry at movies, all the sudden my eyes well up and I just can't help it!

♥ I'm actually a natural blonde, I've never had highlights, dye, anything. I get so many questions about my hair!

1. I've been best friends with my best friend since the 4th grade.

2. I've seen every episode of Dawsons Creek, Gilmore Girls, and Desperate Housewives. TV-aholic much?

3. Not many of my friends know about my blog.

4. I like my stuff to be all nice and organized.

5. I kind of hold grudges but, I'm slowly learning to let go and let the people that once hurt me back into my life.

1. why did you create this blog?

I created this blog because I needed a place to talk about beauty and fashion because my best friend just doesn't get my addiction!

Fashion, beauty, some cooking, some traveling.

Well I quite enjoy Stila.

4. favourite clothing brand

Don't really have a favorite. I like Kohls, Forever 21, New York and Company, and many other stores!

Um, I guess powder or concealer. Or lipgloss.

Purple (then pink, blue,)

DKNY Be Delicious is very delicious!

France, I'm taking French now and I think it would an amazing experience.

I hate people who ring a bunch of black liner on the water line for no point. Also unblended foundation.

15 Random Facts About Me

Hey fashionistas!

Right now I'm currently sitting on the couch in my pajamas because I am sick. I have some sort of a cold/sinus infection; those of you who have been following me from the beginning will know that I can't ever get just a cold. My colds always turn into sinus infections. Over the summer I had a sinus infection that just wouldn't go away! I was on multiple antibiotics for 3 months and nothing would get rid of it! Now I have another sinus infection (ugg!) so tomorrow my mom is going to try to get me an appointment to see my doctor.

Anyways, while I'm sitting here I decided to come up with my own little tag to do. So I tag all of you to do this!

Rules: Come up with 15 random facts about yourself and share them with the blog world!

After doing this post tag 5 other bloggers to do this!

Here are my 15 facts:

1. I really like cheesy Lifetime movies (don't judge!).
2. My first concert was a Hilary Duff concert.
3. I have a 'slight' makeup addiction (but you all already knew that).
4. I am super close with my mom.
5. I watch a lot of Bravo shows. I love all of the Real Housewives shows, Top Chef, and Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live.
6. I don't drink soda.
7. I used to bite my nails.
8. I drink coffee, a lot.
9. My favorite color is purple.
10. I laugh a lot, it's just a part of who I am.
11. I like yes your typical 'chick flick' movies, some of my favorites are Uptown Girls, How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, SATC, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (the books were better though), and 27 Dresses.
12. I don't always think about what I say before I say it.
13. I'm very sarcastic.
14. My favorite perfume is a toss up between DKNY Be Delicious (Lily bought me this for my Christmas/birthday, thanks Lil!) and J'adore.
15. I've never had a cavity (knock on wood that I won't get one now!).

Imperfections and Perfections Tag

Hey dolls(:

This tag has been making the rounds in the beauty community on Youtube and blogs, so I'm jumping on the bandwagon!

For those of you that don't know about this you have to say three imperfections you don't like about yourself and then three things you do like about yourself.

Imperfections

1.) The scar on my right arm. It really bothers me, it's quite large and when I'm hot it turns red. I try to cover it up but, it really just bothers me. And I don't like talking about it so when people ask me about it I get really short with them.

2.) My legs. I reallyyyyyy don't like my thighs and my calfs. My calfs are really large and they aren't even fat, it's muscular. So wearing boots over my jeans doesn't look good. I get an ice cream cone effect. That's why you'll never see me wearing that.

3.) I have a scar type thing right next to my right nostril and it's from a pimple and it looks like a pimple but really it's scar tissue.

Perfections (well things I do like about myself)

1.) I really like my eyes when I have contacts on. They aren't even colored contacts or anything, without my glasses on my eyes look really blue/green. I get complimented on my eyes a lot.

2.) My hair. I'm really proud of the fact that it's au naturale. No dye, no highlights, nothing. People are constantly asking me if I dye/highlight my hair and the answer is always no.

3.) My lips. I have really full lips and they're naturally very pigmented. Although this does limit me from being able to wear lipstick. The things we sacrifice.

This or That Tag

Here's a little tag for you all(:

I tag ALL of you lovely fashionistas!

MAKEUP:

blush or bronzer: Bronzer to contour, you can always pinch your cheeks to look rosey or use lipstick and just blend really well.

lip gloss or lipstick: I'm a gloss girl all the way!
eye liner or mascara: Mascara, need I explain!
foundation or concealer: I actually don't use foundation, I use concealer and just dot it along my jaw and blend it with some of my Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid moisturizer.
neutral or color eye shadow: Neutral, it really brings out the blue in my eyes.
pressed or loose eye shadows: Pressed, pigments are nice but messy.
brushes or sponges: Brushes.

NAILS:
OPI or china glaze: I guess OPI, I just hate that they're so expensive so I only own 4.
Long or short: Short is what I have because my nails break really easily. I'd like them to be medium length.
Acrylic or natural: I had acrylic and they really messed up my nails, I have small dents up by the top of both my thumb nails. I do use press-ons.
Brights or darks : I like darks overall but, I do love pinks!
Flower or no flower : No flower.

BODY:
perfume or body splash: I have more body sprays but, I like perfumes more (they're just so darn expensive!)
lotion or body butter : Lotion.
body wash or soap: Body wash. I love Bath and Body Works' washes.
lush or other bath company: I've never had Lush so I guess Bath and Body Works it is!

FASHION:
jeans or sweat pants: Jeans for out of the house but when I home I LIVE in my VS PINK sweats! I have some on now.
long sleeve of short: Short
dresses or skirts: Dresses
stripes or plaid : I guess plaid, but I don't really wear either that much.
flip flops or sandals : Sandals just look nicer. Although I do love flip-flops.
scarves or hats: Both!
studs or dangly earrings : Studs, I went through a dangly phase but I like studs way more.
necklaces or bracelets : Both.
heels or flats : Uhhh, both again! Actually I like wedges more than heels.
cowboy boots or riding boots: Neither.
jacket or hoodie : Depends on what I wearing with it. Just a tee shirt then a hoodie but, if I want to dress up my outfit then a jacket.

Forever-21 or Charlotte Russe: Forever 21.
Abercrombie or Hollister: Neither.


HAIR:
curly or straight:I have naturally straight hair, so I guess curly. We always want what we don't have!
bun or ponytail: It depends.
bobby pins or butterfly clips: Bobby pins.
hair spray or gel : Hairspray (I'm loving Aussie's Mega spray)
long or short : Long
light or dark : I'm blonde, so I'm going with light!
side sweep bangs or full bangs: I've had both so I don't know!
up or down: Down usually.

RANDOM:
Rain or shine: I'm weird, I really like the rain! Only when I'm cuddled up at home with a good book.
