Homecoming 2013

Hello fashionistas!
Last weekend was my homecoming dance. I attended homecoming my sophomore year and decided that I wanted to do it for my senior year. I'm not big on the dance aspect of homecoming, I'm much more into getting ready, taking pictures, and going out for a fancy dinner!

This is the lovely group of girls that I went with. The girl to the right of me and the girl on the opposite end are both foreign exchange students and had never been to a dance before!

We decided to break up and do a few trio shots. I did Lily and Jenna's makeup. Getting ready and doing everyone's makeup is my favorite part!

Jenna and I casually posing on the stairs. My dress is from JCP and Jenna's is from JCP, but she purchased it over the summer.

Lily and I both rocking LBDs. Her dress is from Forever 21.

I thought that Lily looked GORGEOUS. The draping on the top of the dress was very flattering.

Sorry for the grainy picture quality. We didn't get many good photos because the sun set very quickly.

I went with a gold and bronzed eye and red lips. My mom put my hair in rollers and ran her fingers through it for a tousled look.

I'm glad we went, but the dance itself was very lame. Or maybe I'm just getting older, but I recall not enjoying the dance back when I was a sophomore.

Have you guys gone to any events that gave you a reason to get all dolled up? Am I the only one who loves dressing up? I know I cannot be alone!

Loads of love!

Homecoming 2011

Hello fashionistas!
As promised, here is my homecoming 2011 post!
I went with my best friend Lily, Kali, Asia, and Isabella. We had a really fun time!
Here are some of pictures we took.

Dress: Jones New York Shoes: Nine and Co from JCP Earrings: Mom's

Dress: Ross Shoes: Payless Earrings: her mom's

Lily and I both went for black dresses with a pop of color in the shoes. Seen as the theme was "neon nights" I chose bright blue, suede heels.

My eye makeup. I wish I could remember what I had used, but I don't really recall what it was.

Lily's eye makeup, again sorry I don't remember what I used on her!

The ticket.

 All of us girls!

Left to right: Asia, Isabella, Kali, Lily, and yours truly!
Anyone else find it hysterical how Lily manages to STILL tower over us in flats while we all had on high heels? I'm so envious of her height.

Best friends until the end!

My mom♥

My sister and I with Lily and her sister.

After the many pictures were taken (we must have taken over a 100 pictures) we went out to dinner at a local seafood restaurant. Then we went to homecoming. Danced it up and had some good laughs. All in all it was pretty grand night!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Haul!

Hello fashionistas!
I went to the outlet mall today with my mom and sister. We went into Bath and Bodyworks and New York and Company; two of my favorite stores!

This is what I picked up at Bath and Bodyworks.

At the outlet everything is super cheap so my mom and I go crazy!
Tutti Dolci Mango Sorbetto Creme Body Wash, this was 1.99. It was 90% off, and it smells crazy good!
Coconut Lime Verbena lotion, I love this stuff. I'm not sure how much this was.
Liplicious Tasty Lip Color in 'Cherry Vanilla', this was 1.99 as well.

New York and Company goodies.

My mom and I had loved this at the regular store but, we didn't want to pay 20 bucks for it because we knew it would go on sale soon. We were wandering around the mall and saw that they put a NYC outlet in and we were like "Ohhh yeahh!"
This was $9.99.

I also got a black and a aqua t-shirt for $6 dollars each, my mom and I are like obsessed with V-necks. I didn't take a picture of these because I didn't think you guys would really care about t-shirts.

Finally, my most exciting purchase!

I found a dress for homecoming for........ Only $6 bucks!

Shoulder detail.

Full view.

I had my hair braided so obviously I would wear it on the side without the shoulder detail (or maybe in a high ponytail). What do you guys think, will it be good for homecoming?

All I have to do now is find some perfect black heels. I plan on using the clutch I won in that giveaway. It will be a perfect pop of color.
