Back to Basics.

Hello fashionistas!
I felt like I was going back to basics with a button up top over a simple beaded tank-top and my go to (worn out) flats. It was a very laid back outfit.

I went with very simple makeup, just mascara and brown eyeliner on my eyes. The normal face makeup, light on blush and bronzer. A pale pink lipstick and I was ready to go.

Top: New York and Company Blue top: Liz Clairborne Tank-top: Aeropostale Jeans: JCP Shoes: Payless Bag: Jessica Simpson Jewelry: Forever 21

This bag has quickly become my favorite, hold everything bag!
It's a pretty timeless, black purse. Or duffel with the amount of stuff that I carry with me!
Sometime this week I think I'm going to do a "what's in my bag" post.

I had a busy weekend spent with my best friends! Loads of fun. On Friday I spent the night with my best friend, Lily. On Saturday she came over and helped me reorganize my closet. After that I went over to the other best friends' house. We went out to dinner and had a sleepover. Which is always so fun!  This morning we watched the movie Friends With Benefits and it was hysterical. Then we went to the beach, it was beautiful outside Perfect temperature and sunny.

My sister leaves for a week for a school trip to DC. Only child status acquired!

Have a great week!

Blue and Stars + Eye of the Day

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to show you want I wore in honor of 4th of July.
We did a little BBQ action, but I skipped on fireworks because they are not my favorite thing.
I'm probably one of the few people who aren't fond of them!
Shirt: Liz Clairborne  Star top: Belk Shorts: Dockers (bought at Bealls) Watch: Avenues Shoes: Aerosoles Sunglasses:

I finally realized that I need to set my camera on macro mode to pick up makeup well, I used macro on all of these. The only thing I do not like about macro is that it makes me look so pale!
Anyways, here's my patriotic eye makeup!

Urban Decay Primer Potion
NYX Yogurt pencil as a base on my lower lash line
Stila's Stone eyeshadow all over and in the middle of my lower lash line
Stila's Smog in the crease
Sleek original I-Divine palette dark, shimmery blue in the crease, and all over the bottom lash line
Urban Decay's Virgin in the inner corner, bottom inner corner, and highlight
ELF Studio Cream liner on my upper lash line
Urban Decay's Creep over the ELF Studio Cream liner
Rimmel London 1-2-3 mascara on upper lashes
Covergirl waterproof LashBlast mascara on lower lashes

This showed up a little bit more silver than blue, don't worry it was definitely blue!

How'd you guys spend your 4th of July?

Blooming Flowers and Smiles

Hello fashionistas!
Here's a little outfit of the day for you all!

Top: Liz Clairborne Tanktop: Costco Skirt: Coldwater Creek Necklace: mom's Shoes: Aerosoles

I wore this last week! Again this was one of those outfits I threw on right before I walked out the door.
This shirt and the necklace are my mom's, yes, I borrowed some stuff from her closet.... again!

Sorry these aren't the best pictures, my mom took them after school before we went to my sister's school for a drama performance. The lighting is just off. I really love all of my  mom's flowers in the background, they look great!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I plan on doing some studying for my 2nd biology exam on Monday, and hopefully hanging with Lily this weekend.

Men Love White Shirts and Jeans on Women, Who Knew?

Hello dearest fashionistas!
Yesterday I read in Glamour's magazine (it was the men issue) that the one outfit all men (supposedly) love women in is a white t-shirt or tank top and jeans.
Seriously, why do we bother with panty hoses and heels when men don't even care?!
This basically changed my life.
Okay not really.
So, I wanted to try this out and I decided to just wear a white tank top and wait for it.. jeans!
Well, I Savannah-fied it a little bit...

Shirt: Liz Clairborne
Tank top: My mom
Jeans: Costco
Shoes: Forever 21
Necklace: Forever 21

Sorry for not posting lately. I've been busy and I've had some drama going on in my life.
I've been in an argument with my best guy friend for the past couple of days and I've just been sort of upset and not in the mood to post.
Plus I've had a good bit of homework and different things to study for.

So I wore this to school today.
I'm pretty sure no guys looked at me differently. So Glamour, I'm not so sure that survey about what men think women look best in was accurate.
Just saying.
Although I did like this look, casual but cute.

Hope you're all well!

Loads of love!

I Do Love My Sequins..

Hey fashionistas!
I have an outfit of the yesterday post for you.

Shirt: Liz Clairborne
White Sequin Tank- Target (ages ago)
Black tank- Kohls
Black v-neck: ? Again bought forever ago!
Jeans: I think these are from Costco
Bangles: Two different sets from Forever 21

Sorry for only one picture (and not even full length!), I was literally running out the door and had to get a quick picture (my mom always takes them in case you were wondering.).

I first only had the sequin tank underneath the black v-neck and the blue shirt but I was worried it might be too low and I'd be busted for dress code (which hasn't ever happened). So I just tossed the tank top on just to be sure. Oh and even though they weren't pictured I wore black flats, I was going to wear my ankle boots but my ankle was bothering me that day so I didn't think teetering on 4 inch heels was the best idea especially in crowded halls. In case you were wondering I hurt my foot a couple of months ago and my ankle still acts up.

This outfit was sort of inspired by this picture. If I had worn the boots (and a sequin black skirt) then it would have been more inspired!

I think I'm going to do another post tonight but, post it tomorrow.

PS: Remember the geometry test I took on Thursday? Yeah I totally and completely failed it. I hate geometry oh so much. I don't know the exact grade but apparently the highest grade in the class was a C so.
