Blog Birthday + Outfit of the Day + Eye of the Day

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to show you what I (almost) wore to school on Friday.

Top: Kohls Tanktop: Aeropostale Skirt: Coldwater Creek Shoes: Aerosoles Earrings: mom's

I was going to wear this to school on Friday, but it was not very comfortable, so I threw on jeans instead. The jeans were a good call because I did a ton of walking around that day. If I had worn the skirt I probably would have been tugging it around all day.

Here's my eye makeup that I wore. I've been doing this for the past couple of days, quick and easy!

EYES
  • UDPP
  • Urban Decay's Sin all over lid
  • Sleek's original I-Divine palette purple all over sin, lightly patted
  • Stila's Road to Radiance travel palette's "City Chick" in the crease
  • Urban Decay's Virgin as my highlight
  • Maybelline Colossal lash
  • Stila's Lash Visor
I took my final exam today. I'm officially a sophomore! Well, except for the fact that I have to take the final part of my pre- AICE biology exam on Friday, but I'm not worried about it. I went home with the best friend Lily and hung out at her house all afternoon/evening.

Here's a breakdown of my exam grades:
English: 100% (highest out of everyone, very pleased with myself)
Pottery: 100%
Geometry: 80% (I'm happy with that, seen as I thought I was going to not do well at all on it.)
French: 80% (I'm also happy with this because the final exam was SO hard.)

I don't know what I got on my geography exam yet, but overall I'm pretty pleased with my grades.

I just wanted to tell you guys that today is my first blog birthday! I'm so happy to have gotten to 'know' so many of you, you're the kindest people. I have had so many wonderful opportunities brought into my life from blogging. Plus, I get to interact with you all on a daily basis! I remember when I got my very first follower, I had been 3 weeks into blogging, I was out at dinner, waiting for our table. I pathetically checked my Blogger account to see if I had any 'hits' on my blog, when I saw that I had a follower I was SO excited! By the next day I had ten followers! Blogging started as a hobby to do over the summer, now I don't know what I would do without it! I love blogging so much, and I love you all so much. Thank you for being such amazing followers, every new follower I get the happier I am. All of your comments bring smiles to my face and really just warm my heart. If you ever have any questions or requests, drop me a line or comment on a post. I love you guys!

November Favorites

Hey dolls, I know this is so cliche but.. November went by so fast!
Here's what I've been loving for the past month.

L-R
ELF Studio Bronzer in Warm Bronzer♥
ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion♥
ELF Contouring and Blush duo (I've only been using the bronzer)♥
ELF Cream Liner in Black♥
ELF Studio blush brush♥
CO. Bigelow Cinnamint Mentha Lipshine♥
Sleek Original Palette (I've been using the 2nd to last color in the top row for a pop of color on my bottom lashes)♥
Wet n' Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Sweet as Candy (The first two colors, not so much the bottom)♥
LA Colors Palette in Traditional♥

I've been using the ELF Studio Bronzer to warm up my face everyday.
I've used the Pink Passion blush a lot this month, towards the end of the month I started using some other blushes but this was used most of the month.
I haven't used the blush part of the contouring and blush duo but, I have used the contouring side EVERYDAY.
I just started using the ELF cream liner and it's quite comparable to Stila's smudge pots. One of these days I'll get around to doing a comparison.
The ELF blush brush is amazing. You need it in your life.
I love the CO. Bigelow gloss, it's super glossy and makes my lips so shiny. People at school are always saying how glossy my lips are.
The only color I've been using from the Sleek palette a lot this month is in the 1st row 2nd to the last. I've been using it on my outer corner on my bottom lashes line. It's a great pop of color.
This month I have used the white shade in the Wet n' Wild trio for a highlight almost everyday. The brown shade works for a great crease color, dark but not too dark.
Did you guys notice how the LA Colors palette made it in my favorites again? Well it did! I've been using more than just the two colors I used last month. I've hit a bit of pan on one of the colors. These are really great quality for how inexpensive they are.

Here's the non-makeup things I used a lot last month.

L-R

Black Amethyst perfume from Bath and Bodyworks♥
Aussie Mega Hairspray♥
Helen of Troy curling iron♥
ELF Smoky Brown nail polish♥

I'm not even going to try to explain the smell of Black Amethyst, I'm horrible at that!
I've been using this hairspray daily, it gives a great hold but my hair isn't crunchy. After curling my hair with the Helen of Troy curling iron I just flip my head upside down and spray the hairspray all over and then flip back up and adjust my hair. It gives me more volume.
I've been using this curling iron a lot! I go to sleep with my hair wet from the shower and in braids and then I take the braids out spray a heat protectant on my hair and use this iron to get the curls I've had for the past couple of outfit of the day posts.
ELF Smoky Brown nail polish has made its way onto my nails multiple times this month. Such a pretty, creamy shade.

That's all for my favorites!

Outfit of the Day and Eye Makeup of the Day 11/2/10

Hello fashionistas!
A look was requested my one of my lovely followers using my "Traditional" palette by LA Colors.
Here's what I usually do.

In case you were wondering this is the Traditional palette below

First I take a primer (I use VS creme shadows).
Then I put Stila's Kitten all over my lid.
Then I took the 2nd brown in the 2nd row and put it in my midtone.
Next, I took the last brown in the 2nd row and put it in my crease/outer corner.
Then I took Stila's smudge pot in black (a holy grail product to me) and put it on my upper lashline and winged it out (the wing was thicker than I wanted).
After that I took Rimmel's LashMaxx and put that on my top lashes and put a coat of Maybelline's Falsies over that.
After this (this is optional) I took a bit of my VS creme shadow and put in on the outer corner of my lower lash line.
Then over the creme shadow I put a teal-y blue color from the Sleek Original palette for a POP of color.

It's really simple and an easy to wear everyday look.

Here's what I wore with it.

I'm not sure why blogger is making this photo so small. I had it on the 'large' setting. Sorry!

Tank: Kohls
Shirt: JCP
Jeans: Levis (sorry they weren't pictured!)
Shoes: I wore some simple metallic gladiators (not pictured)
Necklace: Forever 21

That's all for now.

A Little Haul

Hey fashionistas, today I don't have an OOTD as I was feeling a bit blah today and just settled for a very neutral outfit.
Instead I have my little haul! And what I won in the lovely Ellie's Friday Freebie a few weeks ago.
If you don't already follow her then check out her blog here.

I won the Rimmel Looks 1 2 3 mascara.
I purchased the Sleek Divine Original palette off of Ebay here.

This is the inside of the palette

Here are the swatches.

Top Row (sorry for the poor swatch/picture, it was dusk outside).

Bottom row (again sorry!)

I was so impressed with how fast the palette arrived here (only a week!) so I'm quite happy.
I haven't tried the mascara (I received both yesterday evening). Once I dork around with it I
will let you all know what I think.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway, it ends November 1st.

That's all for now.
