Summer Beauty Picks

Hello fashionistas!
I have been wanting to share some of the new (and old) beauty products that I have been using during this summer. I tend to try and use less products during the summer because I do not enjoy feeling like I have a lot of makeup on during the summer.

ELF's Studio tinted moisturizer has been a great product to even out any redness on my face. Just a little bit goes a long way; I normally use a dime sized amount for my whole face. I still use my regular moisturizer with it, but I do like that it has SPF 20 in it. The best part is the $3 price tag!

Lorac's Tantalizer has been residing in my face products drawer for a year now and I never had used it (my mom had given it to me), but recently I have been using it like crazy. It gives my face a nice tan, dewy glow. I normally apply a teeny tiny drop on my finger and blend it into my cheeks.

Revlon's Lash Potion mascara is an amazing mascara. It lengthens and adds volume, but my lashes never feel weighed down. I received this product before it was out, but I wanted to give it a try before I shared it with you all. If you are in the market for a new mascara you should definitely pick up this mascara. I have to admit that I am a sucker for cute packaging and this mascara has the girliest packaging- too cute!

I have been wearing Essie's nail polish in Mod Square off and on for the past month. My mom and I have both been loving it. I would have posted a picture of it on, but my nails are slightly chipped- I need to go paint them.

OCC's Lip Tar in Pretty Boy has found itself on my lips a lot lately. The color is so vibrant and makes me feel like I have been put a lot of effort into my look without using a ton of products. The color also stays on my lips for HOURS. I cannot wait to try more of OCC's Lip Tars. Do you guys recommend any other colors?

Pretty Boy on the left and Tantalizer on the right.
Sorry for not photographing ELF's tinted moisturizer- I didn't think it would show up on my hand very well!

Garnier Fructis makes really great, nourishing hair products. I am obsessed with the Triple Nutrition shampoo, my hair feels super clean without feeling dry. I have been a fan of their Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner for years, but I just wanted to throw it in because I think it is a great product for summer hair. Being in a pool can leave hair feeling dry, but this helps repair the dryness.

St. Tropez self tanning mousse is my new favorite self tanner. I know I'm a little bit late to jump on this bandwagon, but I did not understand the majestic, browning powers that this stuff had until I got it! My skin looks like I spent a week on the beach when in reality it is just this mousse! I only apply it about three times a week and when I do I only use a small pump. I have a feeling that this product will last me a long time.

Bath and Bodywork's Aruba Coconut triple moisturizing lotion and accompanying body wash smells like a tropical paradise. I love anything coconut scented, so when my mom came home with this for me I was very excited. If you are a fan of tropical scents then you should check this scent out at Bath and Bodyworks.

Are you guys obsessed with any new beauty products? Let me know if there is something I need to try!

Favorite Fashions from 2012

Hello fabulous fashionistas!
I know I probably should have done this post p r i o r to 2013 being here, but whatever. I wanted to group together some of my favorite outfits featured on the blog. I'll link back to each post!

Starting in January from 2012- woah man that's like a... year ago. ( ;

As you all can see I have quite the affinity for polka dots, blazers, heels, and pops of colors.
Do you guys typically gravitate towards a certain types of colors, shoes, jackets?

Tomorrow is the first day back to school- I am not looking forward to that!
My boyfriend went back to school yesterday, boo. My best friend came down to visit family for 3 days and popped down to meet me for lunch yesterday, she's also back home. I miss my favorite people!

Loads of love!

Current Beauty Favorites.

Hello fashionistas!
Today I wanted to share some products that have been getting a lot of love and usage these past couple of weeks!

Left to right: Urban Decay mini Pocket Rocket in Naked, Hourglass lipstick in Nocturnal, ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain, Milani Face Powder in 01 Light, Urban Decay Mariposa palette, specifically shades Spotlight and Mushroom.

The Urban Decay mini Pocket Rocket has been getting a lot of wear lately because it is a lovely pink color, not too dark and not light. Also, it is minty, which I love.
My splurge of the month, Hourglass' lipstick in Nocturnal, is a great lipstick. Goes on like butter and wears for hours. I highly recommend it.
The flawless finish foundation is creamy, goes on nicely, good coverage, and does not oxidize weirdly. I really like and for the price, $6, it is definitely worth it! Next time you're in need of a foundation check it out.
I needed a new face powder a few months ago, so I purchased the Milani face powder. It is perfect, not too heavy, but enough coverage to mask any flaws.
I have gotten so much use out of this Mariposa palette, I truly love it. Lately I'm loving the golden beige color Spotlight and the vampy grey Mushroom. I especially love layering Mushroom over Spotlight.

Left to right: UD Pocket Rocket Naked gloss, Hourglass' lipstick in Nocturnal.
Top shadow is Mushroom over Spotlight, then Mushroom, then Spotlight.

Bath and Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar conditioner and shampoo, Cashmere Glow body lotion, and Evologie Stay Clear Cleanser

My mom brought home the Bath and Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar shampoo and conditioner for me and I love it so much. My hair smells delicious!

The Cashmere glow was a purchase I made on a whim the other week and I really love it! It smells lovely, but it is not too overpowering.

I love the Evologie cleanser, click here for my full review.

What are you guys loving right now?

I'm off to go to a birthday dinner for one of my best friends, Katie. December babies all the way!

Loads of love!

September Favorites

Hello fashionistas!
I haven't done a beauty related post in awhile, so I thought I'd share the products that I've been loving for the past month. I guess one could call this a September favorites post..

I've been trying to use the makeup that I have because I have way way way too much of it..

Left to right: Devoted lip liner, Snakebite, Suspect, Satin Taupe.

I started using my Naked 2 palette again. I'm completely in love with Suspect all over the lid with Snakebite in the crease. You can amp the drama up by adding a darker liner or just leaving it liner-less for a simple daytime look.

I also started using MAC's Satin Taupe as a liner on my bottom lashline. I can't wait to do a smokey eye with it for fall/winter. Satin Taupe plus a berry lip will look so pretty! I'm on the hunt for a berry lipstick, any suggestions?

I've been loving is Stila's long wear lip liner in Devoted. It creates a great darker 'my lips but better' color. I also love adding a clear gloss on top of it for a pretty shine.

I had to buy another eyelash curler and I went with ELF's curler for a dollar. It was a great buy and curls my lashes to perfection!

The final product I've been using a lot is Maybelline's Falsies mascara. I had used this a lot when it first came out a few years ago, then I switched to Lashblast by Covergirl. I repurchased Falsies and I've fallen in love with it all over again. Seriously, if you have not tried this mascara before then you really need to.

On a non beauty favorite note, I'm loving 90210 (the newer one)! I've been watching it on Netflix and I really like it.
What have you guys been loving lately?

June Favorites

Hello fashionistas!
Regular blogging resumes today! I wanted to share my June favorites with you all, sorry it's a bit late.
I've been into a very natural, glowing summer look, which reflects in the products I chose to share with you all.

Left to right: Sephora Hot Hues all over Bronzed Glow, Nars Orgasm Illuminator, Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara, Sephora mini nude bronze lipgloss (no name, sorry guys), and Korres Liquid Lipstick in Raspberry

Nars Orgasm Illuminator, Hot Hues all over Bronzed Glow, random Sephora lipgloss, and Korres Liquid Lipstick in Raspberry

I love the Orgasm illuminator because I feel like it gives my face such a healthy, warm glow.
The bronzer actually shows up more bronze on my face than it did in this swatch (the pink tones seemed to be more prominent). I feel like this also gives me that healthy, warm look!
I'm sorry I don't know the name of this lipgloss. It came in one of their sets and it has no name! It's kind of a pink-brown gloss, looks really nice and natural when you have it on.
For a nice pop of color in my lips I've been loving this liquid lipstick from Korres. I feel like it lasts forever and gives me a nice red lip.
I'm completely obsessed with Too Faced's Lashgasm mascara. It makes my lashes look amazingly long and full. Will have to do a look with it to show you guys. Might even review it separately!

L'oreal EverStyle Volume Boosting Mousse, PINK Soft and Pure body spray, and Sally Hansen polish in Ruby Stilettoes.

This mousse was purchased after I ran out of my Redken 18 and Oscar Blandi volume boosters. I actually quite like it and it's very friendly on the wallet! I like that it doesn't make my hair crunchy and that it has a nice scent.
I actually brought the PINK Soft & Pure body spray with me instead of bringing my beloved D&G Light Blue on vacation because I didn't want to use a ton of it. Anyways, this spray also has a nice clean scent to it and I really enjoy it. Plus I don't feel guilty about using a million spritzes from it because it isn't expensive like Light Blue is. Please note that I'm not saying this smells anything like Light Blue, I just think that it has a crisp, clean scent.
I've had this red nail polish packed with micro glitter on my toes for the past few weeks. I really like it, plus it worked well for the 4th of July!

Today I spent the day with my boyfriend. We went out for breakfast and then came back to my house to watch movies and just hang out. After he left I cleaned up the house and helped make dinner with my dad.
I hope you all had a great day!

Do we have any favorites in common?

Loads of love!

April Favorites.

Hello fashionistas!
I decided to finally get around to posting about my favorite beauty products in April.
I kept everything very natural and simple last month.

Left to right:
Neutrogena Rapid Clear on the spot acne treatment, Nars Orgasm blush, ELF Candy Shop lip gloss in Cherry Bomb, Covergirl Lashblast Waterproof mascara, Korres Pomegranate lip butter, Michael Kors Very HollyWood lipgloss and perfume duo/rollerball, and Rimmel London eyebrow pencil in Hazel

Rimmel London eye pencil swatch, Nars Orgasm (one very sheer swatch, sorry!), Very HollyWood lip gloss (no name), Korres Pomegranate lip butter, and ELF Cherry Bomb lip gloss.

I haven't felt like getting super primped before school, so this has been my go-to face for the past month! I also like that it allows me to sleep in more. Gotta love extra sleep time! I've been very into a glowing pink cheek with Nars' Orgasm blush (best blush EVER), defined brows, two layers of waterproof mascara, and a pink/peach/or subtly red glossy lip. I can't believe that the ELF lip gloss is only a dollar. It delivers a nice red pigment, isn't sticky, nor does it have a gross scent.

The Neutrogena Rapid Clear gel has been a long time favorite, but especially last month. It helped clear up any little blemishes I had forming.
I love my rollerball of Michael Kors' Very Hollywood, it's always nice to have in my bag when I've forgotten perfume or just need to reapply.

Wednesday and Thursday I have big AICE tests (the academic program I'm in). Wednesday counts for actual college credit, Thursday is just a history place marking test. Wish me luck!

Have a fabulous week!

March Favorites

Hello fashionistas!
Let me be super cliche and say that I can't believe another month has rolled on.
How is it possible that 2012 is a 1/4 of the way over?! Summer will be here in a blink of the eye.
I thought I'd share the products that I was in love with during March.

ELF Golden Bronzer
OPI Charged Up Cherry
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
Olay Luscious Embrace body lotion
Beauty Rush Glampagne cream eyeshadow
Kate Moss for Rimmel London lipstick in 12
Too Faced Romantic Eye palette

Left to right:  Soulmates, Kiss the Bride, Bouquet Toss, I do, Cut the Cake, Honeymoon, Unveil, First Dance, Ever After

I adore this entire palette. Especially the shades Soulmate, I Do, Cut the Cake, First Dance, Honeymoon, and Ever After.
Okay, who am I kidding, all the shades are incredible. I really need to do a look for the blog with these! I always forget to snap pictures before school.  For my full review, click here

Left to right: ELF Golden Bronzer, Rimmel London lipstick in 12, & Beauty Rush's cream shadow in Glampagne

I've been using ELF's Golden Bronzer for quite awhile, I just recently started it using it almost daily. I like the healthy, sunny glow my face has after I apply it. Sometimes I like to play up my lips and put a bit of this right above my cupid's bow, it creates an illusion of even fuller lips.

Rimmel London's Kate Moss lipstick line is great. I'm bummed that I didn't buy more shades! 12 is a vibrant candy coral that lasts for quite awhile on your lips. It's also doesn't dry out my lips, which is very important!

Another product that I've had in my beauty arsenal for an eternity is Beauty Rush's cream eyeshadows.
Prior to forking over $18 for Urban Decay's primer potion I used this cream shadow as my base. After using UDPP for over 2 years I can confidently say that this product does the exact same job at a fraction of the price. My eyeshadow stays put all day. I also think that the Glampagne shade is akin to Urban Decay's Sin primer potion. Only problem is that I don't think that Victoria Secret's still sells these. I did a quick Google search and found them on All Cosmetics Wholesale.

OPI Charged Up Cherry (sorry for the blurriness, camera wouldn't cooperate)!
I just love the neon pink this polish brings to my toes, very fun!
The Sally Hansen Hard as Nails top coat is the bomb, my polish stays put for over a week.

Last but not least, Olay's Luscious Embrace body lotion! I'm completely obsessed with the scent it's said to have crush orchid extract in it. It smells amazing and it is incredibly moisturizing. Next time you need to pick up a new body lotion, check this out stuff out!

Can anyone else believe that tomorrow is Friday? My spring break has blown by! Tomorrow new guy is coming into town, very excited.
What are you all doing for Easter? My family and I are all going out to brunch at the Hyatt. I have the cutest dress to wear, will definitely share outfit pictures with you all!

Loads of love!

February Favorites

Hello fashionistas!
I decided that I would post my February favorites today. I just realized that I use a lot of products. I mean seriously, so many beauty products. I think I need to join Beauty Addicts Anonymous.
"Hi my name is Savannah and I like luxurious beauty products. I also love adorable packaging."

Anyways, this month I've been loving a lot of things!
Left to right top row:
Redken Rewind 06, Fox in a Box blush in Hot Flash, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Oscar Blandi Hair Lift, True Blue Spa Glow and Steady self tanner
Bottom row:
Essence polish in Just in Case, Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Fuschia, Urban Decay Mariposa palette

Redken Rewind 06 has been a great styling paste to use after I curl my hairs. Very pliable which results in my hair looking good.
Fox in a Box blush in Hot Flash has basically been in my collection for months and I just now fell in love with it. I really just like to mix the top two colors (tan and peach) together for a warm peach glow.
Dolce & Gabbana is my new go-to scent (also my mom's new go-to scent, she's been using it like no tomorrow)! It's so fresh and clean. Great spring scent.
The Oscar Blandi Hair Lift serum is ah-mazing. A little bit applied at my roots before I blow dry my hair gives me a lot of volume.
Glow and Steady self tanner has been great for this weird, faux-spring weather. If I feel like wearing a dress I just put on some of this the night before and my legs instantly look tanner.
Essence's nail polish in Just in Case has been my go-to toe color for awhile now. It needs only two coats and I love the mini bottle.
Revlon's Colorburst lipsticks are great, check out my review here
My cousin bought me the Mariposa palette for Christmas because she saw that I had wanted it on my blog wishlist. I've been loving the neutral colors and the green shade. Will definitely be reviewing this later.

The shades I'm loving in this palette are the third (Skimp) and fifth (Wreckage) ones on top and the 2nd ( Money), 4th (Spotlight), and 5th (Limelight) ones on the bottom.

I'm off to go work on some homework. Then the family and I are going out to dinner.
I felt like this Monday lasted twenty years. This is going to be a long week!

Loads of love!

January Favorites

Hello fashionistas!
I wanted to share my January favorites (which coincidentally have been some of my go to products for this month)!

Urban Decay Naked 2 palette
Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Cloud Wine
Milani Secret Cover Concealer in Natural Beige
Covergirl Wetslicks AmazeMint in Ruby Riot
BioSilk Silk Therapy
Milani nail polish in Disco Lights
Pure Ice nail polish in Fast Lane

My favorite shadows in this palette are YDK, Suspect, Verve, Snakebite, Bootycall, Foxy, and Blackout.
I love the intense pigmentation and smoothness of Urban Decay's shadows.

Left to Right: Ruby Riot, Cloud Wine, and Natural Beige.

Ruby Riot is great on it's own and over many different lipsticks. Plus it gives you a minty fresh taste!
Cloud Wine provides a nice, berry flush to my cheeks.
I originally bought this concealer to cover up spots, but it is way too light for spots, so I use it under my eyes to cover up dark circles. They say you're supposed to go 2 shades lighter for under eye concealer and this is perfect for that. I'm probably going to investigate their darker shades because I like the consistency of this concealer and it's a lot cheaper than my Benefit Boi-ing!

Left to right: Fast Lane, Fast Lane with Disco Lights on top, and Disco Lights.

This has been my go to pedicure for at least a month. I really like the way the glitter looks on my toes. Sorry you can't really tell, capturing glitter on camera is really difficult!

I've been loving BioSilk's Silk Therapy because it gives me heat protection, smells delicious, and makes my hair even softer. Thanks to Nana for giving me this! I doubt I'll buy it once I run out, it's almost $20. I also feel like it will last me awhile because I've had it for over 2 months and have not used that much. You need about the size of a nickel to put in your hair after showering.

Well, that's about it for this monthly favorites post!
Are we loving any of the same products?

My Favorites and Least Favorites from the Golden Globes

Hello fashionistas!
My mom and I love watching the red carpet for award shows. Last night was the Golden Globes, as if you didn't know that. Anyways, I wanted to show you all my favorites and my least favorites.

Favorites

I'm pretty much obsessed with the colors of this dress. The berry/magenta color pairs splendidly with the plum color. I also like the sheerness of the bottom and the sassy, eagle belt. This gown is edgy and chic.

I loved Charlize Theron's dress. The cut of the dress, the classy slip, and the elegant brooch are beautiful.

Salma Hayek's dress was stunning. It was glitzy and glamorous. The texture added a lot of flair to the dress. I really liked the geometric mirrored bodice. I thought her hair added a touch of softness to the gown. Her makeup was minimal and kept it elegant.

Heidi Klum's dress was a very simple and blush toned. I also like the pops of turquoise with her jewelry, it contrasts nicely. I'm not sure why I like this so much, but I do!

Sofia Vergara looked stunning! I adored the mermaid style of the dress and the marbling on the bottom.
The dress made her look extremely tall and it popped against her skin tone. I like that she went with simple hair and makeup because it didn't overpower her dress.

Least Favorites

I did not like this dress at all! Actually, I would have liked it a lot if it didn't have the peplum. It looks awkward with it. Also, I really wish she would go with an emerald green dress, that would look stunning against her skin tone.

I would have loved this dress on Morena Baccarin if it had not had those weird cut outs in the chest area. I think it was trying to be geometric and they just took it a step to far with the cut outs. I also didn't care for the earrings.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's hair and makeup were very pretty, but her dress just was a miss for me.
The swirls were just a lot and the fabric looked too heavy for this style of a dress. I do like the neckline of the dress, but that's about it.

Meryl Streep, what were you thinking? I like Meryl Streep, I just can't imagine why on earth she chose this dress. It's like a full length, western, oxford shirt dress. So strange.

I think my best dressed choice would have to be Emma Stone and my worst dressed choice would be Meryl Streep.

Do you guys agree or disagree with any of picks? Let me know!

Thanks for reading!
