My Travel Makeup Bag

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted since Sunday, been a bit busy. Today I have spent the day packing up all of my stuff to take on my vacation. This year my best friend Lily is going! We are leaving bright and early tomorrow morning! I thought I would do a quick post to show you some of the things I am taking with me.


I bought the gold bag that is filled with the cosmetics I am taking at Target about a year ago for like $4 bucks. It came with two other little pouches and one I use for feminine products and the other for lip products. I'm not going to list every single thing I am taking (because quite frankly I don't have the time! I have to finish packing), so here is a quick overview.

A Victoria Secrets eyeshadow (a purple one)
A Beauty Rush shadow (a mauve color)
A brown Milani eyeliner
A black Milani eyeliner
A black Rimmel eyeliner

A blush
A bronzer
and some lip products.
That's about it.
In the black case is my eye brushes and the other case (Sonia Kashuk) is my face brushes.

Oh and since I will be gone I don't know how many posts I will do. I don't have a laptop but my dad said I can use his so if I will do updates but I doubt I will do like OOTD or anything. I will do a post on what I wore with pictures when I get back.
And I'm not going to be able to change the picture at the top of the blog while I'm gone so I am going to put up a picture that I really like.

Sinful Colors

I tried to like this nail polish. Really I did. I have had about one good experience with this nail polish, that's it. Out of all my tries only one time have I liked it. I just tried to apply Bali Mist and first of all it was not at all like the lavendery shiny color in the bottle it was like a shiny pink with hints of lavender. Even though it didn't look like the color I still tried it, it took about 4 or 5 coats to really build up the color, I had to do a Revlon Gel Hardening Base Coat before because my acrylics came off and my nails are kinda weak. So the polish always ends up goopy and not smooth. It doesn't ever really 'dry'. I will not buy it again.. No matter how pretty it looks in the bottle...... Okay I'm sure eventually I will buy it again. And maybe my hand isn't super steady but, come on how long should it take to dry!

I am planning to do a 'What I Take When I Travel- Makeup Bag' post later (like Tuesday or Wednesday because I leave Thursday) and a post about my experience with acrylic nails. I used to be a horrible nail biter.

Outfit of the Day #3

Hellooooo! Like my braids? I do!




My face looks weird! This is my makeup super simple. So simple that I'm not even going to like post all my products. I just used two couple of light colors on my lids (one shimmer and one matte), a dark brown in my crease, brown milani eyeliner and one of the colors I used on my lids (I think the shimmery one) and CG lashblast mascara. My face, well it wasn't complicated and I'm not explaining it(: Hehe, just kidding. Concealer, powder, and my Hard Candy blush in 'Living Doll'. For my brows a brown shadow.




This is what I wore today, just ran a couple of errands and picked up my sister with my mom today(:
Note that I am barefoot, I hadn't put on shoes. I ended up wearing my silver gladiators.

Dress Haul

Hey guys as I said in an earlier post I went to Ross and a local store with my mom and I bought some stuff (actually my mom bought me some stuff). You guys must think that all I do is shop, but I promise that isn't true!

Super soft and comfy. I think I could wear it out and about or over a bathing suit.

I love this dress so much! When I tried it on, I knew I had to have it! It is a really nice fit and shape on me.

My mom grabbed it for me to try on and I didn't think I would like it and I fell in love♥ with it! So I will do an OOTD (outfit of the day) whenever I wear it!

This is the shirt that I bought from the local store, I bought it in a size bigger so it would be more baggy. It is sooooo soft! I don't normally wear green, but I liked the print and how it looked on me. I believe it was $14

My Day

Colby and I say hello!
I just thought I would do a quick update, here it goes. First of all I have decided (because my mom suggested doing this) that I will change the picture at the front of my blog daily to a different haute couture picture, so if you guys see one that is nice, send me a link(: Also I wanted to thank all of you for following me! So what I did today was go out for lunch with my mommy downtown at a delicious cafe, then we went to a couple of vintage stores (but we didn't buy anything). After that we came back home and took showers because we sweated like mad downtown, it was so HOT! So after getting showers we headed back out and we went to Ross. I picked up a couple of adorable dresses (I'm on this new dress kick) so I will do a post later. We also went to another store (I'm not going to tell you because it is only in our area) where I picked up a pair of bermudas and a t-shirt. Hope you guys had a lovely day!

These are my two boys... My pets!


This is my baby! My mom adopted him for me at a pet store where an adoption day was going on, I was so glad I found him. I had to beg my mom to get him for me! He is so sweet, I'll add a photo from when he was a teeny tiny kitten. His name is Java(:

A Bit of a Ramble

Hello lovelies, how are you guys doing?
My day has been a bit uneventful but, I'll tell you what I did anyways.
A couple of hours after waking up, my Nana and Papa left and they took my sister (Sierra, I call her Chez) with them because she wanted to go. So I have my mom and dad all to myself(:
At almost two o'clock my mom took me to the pediatrician to get my cough checked out. Turns out I have yet another sinus infection. The pollen here is really bad and I have the worst allergies. So since I had that stomach bug last week my defenses were down and it allowed my sinus infection to just get worse and worse. Hopefully this cough will be gone soon! I also have a headache, probably from the rain that we received today.
When my dad came home we took Colby (the puppy) out to exercise. We rode bikes and I had Colby's leash wrapped around my hand and my other hand clenched to my bike handle while I peddled and Colby ran. Keeping him from getting us killed was a bit scary! It was a lot of fun(and a little scary)but,I plan on doing it again tomorrow.

Outfit of the Evening (Day) #2 and Face of the Day

Uhhh sorry the picture isn't all that great, I didn't feel like going to the car to get the good camera!


Tank- Marshalls but it is from American Eagle (or so the tag says)
Shorts- Costco (I saw them and I was like 'those would be cute for summer!')
Shoes- Aerosoles bought them at Ross
Bangles- Forever21
Earrings- Forever21 (but I don't think you can even see them)
Ring- The Body Shop



Face- CG concealer, Physicians Formula powder, Hard Candy blush in 'Living Doll', Hard Candy blush (but used for me as a bronzer) in 'Bombshell' and Physicians Formula finishing veil.

Eyes- FLIRT! (from Kohls) palette all except the FLIRT! single shadow in 'Gypsy Nights', primer a cream shadow from Victoria Secrets which is now discontinued... ): Full and Soft mascara and Lashblast Covergirl, Milani true black eyeliner.

Brows- A brown (which always looks strange in my up close pictures of my face for these but, it looks different in real life) is from my FLIRT! palette.

We went out to dinner with my mom, dad, sister, nana, and papa to my favorite japanese steakhouse grille. Love that place mmmm! My grandparents are spending the night tonight. Happy Fathers Day!

Haul.... Yes, I made another trip to the mall...

Alright, I know I shouldn't have but.... I did, I went back to the mall with my dad.



Victoria Secrets - $20
As I said before, I love these pants! They are the boyfriend style. I had to buy another, they aren't ever this cheap! Actually Dad bought me another pair, I love my dad!

Bath and BodyWorks - $1.87 each
I went back and bought another two (actually my loving sister bought me them, which was very nice of her) (: The first is Cinnamint Mentha and the other is Ultra Mentha (my favorite).

New York and Company - $6
A really bright hot pink pocket tee, same style as the one below. Just another color.

It is a minty green color, but in this picture looks gray. Sorry it wasn't very sunny and I don't think I had flipped on my bedroom light.

Haul (:

As I said in my previous post, I went to the mall today with my mommy (yes my mommy!) and my sister. I bought lots of stuff, and my mom bought me some more stuff(:
So I will attach photos of everything and their prices and where I (and my mom) purchased them at.



Victoria Secrets - originally $35.00, on sale for $19.99 and it was my dads birthday this month and they sent him a $10 card for his birthday (because he buys my mom and I stuff from there) and with that they were $10.00. I literally could live in their boyfriend sweatpants. I love them, they are so comfy. And not to mention super cute.

New York and Company- $15.00
I like these and they are 'boyfriend style' they are just shorts for summer(: I hate my legs though, I don't like my thighs so I don't like to wear shorts but, it is just too hot here!

WalMart- $ I don't know. Glamour is my favorite magazine so I always buy it. I just felt like including it in this haul post of mine. I wish it was like the UK Glamour which is giving away full size Benefit products! Oooh jealousy...

Bath and BodyWorks- $1.87 each normally $7.50 each
I LOVE THESE! They were 75% off and I bought five! As you can see the Ultra Mentha Lip Shine is my fave (darker green), I bought the Mentha Lip Shine (lighter green), and the Mentha Lip Tint in Pink Mint. I had to stock up, they are NEVER this cheap! They are the best lip glosses E V E R !

WalMart- $1.72
Target has these too. I like the formula, depending on the color you have to do 2 coats or so. I will do a review and picture whenever I do my nails with this color. Oh and this color is Midtown.

Bath and Bodyworks- Buy 3 signature scents get 3. This was $12.00
It is one of the sprays in PS I Love You, I love this spray! It smells so yummy.

Bath and BodyWorks - any 3 signature scents, get 3. (My mom got 4 things and I got 2). This is Cherry Blossom. It is $10.50.

Bath and BodyWorks- 7 of the wallflowers and scents for $20
This is for my bedroom and I got Sleepy Lavender. I didn't get 7 of these my mom and I both got some of them for rooms in the house(:

Hair Inspiration

Hello my readers!

This would look very cute on someone who doesn't have layers. I do, so the shorter ones stick out, although as the day goes on and the rest gets messier it tends to look cute. If I feel like braiding something I usually braid the shortest layer on my left side and pin it back (it is a very small braid. For a more bohemian look I braid both sides.

Love this! It's like a new take on the up tight ballerina bun (that always gives me a headache). I will have to try this, only maybe un-tuck a few strands of hair for a more messy look.

Her hair always has that simple 'I just came back from the beach' tousled look, I want it. I can achieve it, only mine look more 'wavy'. Bottom line, I love her hair!

Well guys I am feeling a lot better than I was yesterday, but I still have this wretched cough! It has been keeping me up for HOURS! I just want it to stop. Currently it is raining (lightening and thundering) cats and dogs. I can't sleep and my little sister can't either. It is kinda creepy dark in our house too, I hope we don't lose power.

Sickness Sucks!

Well this morning I woke up at 5 AM and went into my moms room and told her that I thought I was going to throw up. She said to grab the trash can in our office and I brought it back to her room and laid down with her while she rubbed my back. I threw up an hour later. It was terrible, I have thrown up 5 times! I took a teensy, weeny, sip of water and in less than 20 seconds threw it up again. Later I did manage to keep down some oyster crackers, Progresso chicken noodle soup, a popsicle (italian ice, yummm), and some Sprite. Of course not all at one time and spread throughout the day. My stomach is in terrible pain, like one minute it's fine and the next I am slumped over in pain. Also I have had these crazy hiccups which are upsetting my stomach even more! Well lets hope that I get better by Sunday because my grandparents (dad's side)are coming into town. I'm off to go find my Victoria Secrets slippers, I've had the chills (and the sweats) all day!

I decided to paint my nails in Pink Crush by Maybelline. I actually really like it, it was my mom's and I took it from her bathroom(: It's a really pretty, bright, shiny pink. It has a 'wet finish' so it looks wet but really it's not.

Oh Java.

Hey guys(:
So as I was catching up on my Youtube subscriptions I heard something in my kitchen. And guess what it was, no not a burglar, just my cat. Java (he's about 9 months old but I've only had him since he was like 3 months old) has this very very strange obsession with straws. Like the kind you drink out of. No matter what it is in like a regular cup from home or a to go cup from Starbucks. He likes to paw it out and play with it on the floor. Needless to say this can (and usually does) result in spilled milk.. Haha, that was corny. So back to my story, I heard a noise and I run out and what do I see, one kitten up on the kitchen table and my cup that was half full of water knocked over. So I pick up Java and wipe off his now wet paws and he starts to meow at me, like it's my fault that his paws are wet! Well excuse me Java, I'm not the one who had to have the straw! I didn't have a real busy day, we took Colby to get his final vaccines and then I babysat for about an hour tonight. That's about it. Oh and I'll attach a photo of Java being not so destructive...

Outfit of the Day #1

Well hello there! Today I went with my mom and Lily (the bestest friend ever) to see my sister's award ceremony for the end of the year. It wasn't dressy or anything so I chose a babydoll top that I bought at Kohls last year (I think), jeans that I just rolled up to my knees, and gladiators from Bealls. Makeup was simple just this purple smokey eye, not even that 'smokey'. Hair was basically just blow dried I only used a round brush to lift my top layers (for volume) and to style my bangs, then I fixed a few pieces with my straightener. I accessorized with a couple of bangles from a set I bought at Forever21.

So Today

Today my bestie came over at like 7:50 this morning (we're out of school but our sisters still have tomorrow) so we picked Lily and her sister up and dropped her sister and Sierra (my sister) off at school. We came home and watched Real Housewives of New Jersey. Then we went to the pool for a couple of hours (which was really fun, because nobody was there). Then my mom made us these gourmet subs and then we went to the library. Lily caught up on Glee that I had saved on my DVR for her, then we had dinner . After dinner we walked Colby (the dog). Now she is sitting next to me looking at all of our spring break vacation photos, which was to California and Nevada. I'll attach a photo of something, I'm not sure what. Any-who, we are going to watch the series premiere of The Pretty Little Liars (we read all of the books) that I DVRed. I will try to get around to an outfit of the day tomorrow.

Summer Favorites 2010

Here are some of my summer favorites for 2010, these are just skin care and nail polishes I will get around to a makeup one soon!

1.) Biore' Pore Unclogging Scrub
I love this! It gently exfoliates and helps remove the oils in you pores and prevent and treat acne. I don't have 'acne' per say, I have blemishes, a huge breakout for me is 4 zits not 10.

2. ELF Nail Polish in Coral. It is a pretty pink color with golden shimmer and a pinch of orangey undertones. Beware it does chip so do a strengthening clear coat.

3. N.Y.C In a minute New York Color in Times Square. I can't say enough about this! It is like a coral, yet a red, yet hot pink! I got TONS of compliments on it when I had it on my nails last week. Seriously BUY IT! I bought it at Target and it was like $1.50, I have really liked all of their polishes. They can chip (but really what doesn't?) so if you are paranoid about that then do a clear coat that strengthens.

4. Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture SPF 15, I like this moisturizer a lot and I feel like it does hydrate my skin. The only thing is my eye area is SUPER sensitive so this kinda does burn for a couple of minutes, other than that I like it. I also switch this with Oil of Olay and this smells good, feels good, and I love love love that! Sometimes I just like to switch it up.

5. Last but not least is Tarte Sunburst Body. It is a bead bronzing lotion with self-tanner. I like this it gives me color on my legs, that is the only place that doesn't get as tan as my body, which is weird because I try and try to get them tan! So whenever I plan on wearing a dress or skirt and my legs don't look very tan I slather a pinch on (and trust me, it doesn't take a lot) and I have some color to my legs. Be very careful to rub evenly or else it might look streaky (this has never happened to me, but I'm VERY careful!).

And I forgot to take a picture of this but my last favorite is PONDS Cold Cream the cool classic. I love this it really gets rid of my makeup and leaves my skin soft. Will be a favorite forever!

Woohoo!

Today my friends and I graduated from our lame middle school! This means that school is out and summer is in! My best friend and I are spending almost two weeks together on a vacation in July with my family. We are so excited! Graduation was nice, a little bit on the cheesy side (if you want my really opinion, I mean seriously it isn't high school or college!). Anyways tomorrow the whole eighth grade is going on a trip my bestie Lily and I decided to skip it and chill at my pool. (:
So I'm looking forward to that. The weather is kinda crappy right now.. It was all hazy and dark (not to mention HUMID!) and now it is windy and kinda sunny, my mom and I think it is going to rain. Shocker.
Attached to this is what I wore to the graduation. This was just me trying on it to send to Lily. So not the best picture!
